Great for smoking beef.
These are the best chips for smoking beef. I like to marinate a tri-tip in a spicy bloody mary for a couple of days and then smoke it with these. Good luck finding anything better than that.

What a treat!
This has become one of my favorite woods for smoking. It adds amazing flavor. I used it last night for salmon, and I can't stop eating it. It's SO tasty.

My favorite go-to for smoking foods...
This is probably one of my favorite woods for smoking. I went kind of nuts after buying a smoker and have tried a variety of woods, including some of the more exotic woods (it was a really fun sampler!). I use this easily twice as much as other types. The bourbon soaked wood gives such an amazing flavor, especially for some cold and cooler temp smoked items. I will also use this to smoke sea salt (the Maldon flakes or another pyramid salt take smoke very well) to use as a finishing salt for steaks or other foods. WAY better than purchased smoked salts. I've ordered a few times and never had the issue someone mentioned with hitchhikers. Or if they were there they were all drunk and sleeping. I also tried other brands of bourbon wood (Jim Beam as well as another 'generic' brand) after I enjoyed this one so much, and found them lacking in comparison to the Jack Daniels. Where this wood is just saturated with bourbon, you'll almost get a contact high opening the bag the first time, the others simply weren't. They were dry and only had a light scent of bourbon.

In Culinary school we just used basic wood chips to smoke our food. When smoking at home I wanted to try something with a little flavor/scent to it. I then purchased these chips and I was blown away by the flavor it gave the Brisket I was smoking. I will be using these chips a lot and I will be purchasing more in the future!

meat taste better using these chips
meat taste better using these chips. I use a SS smoker box on top of the grill, close cover and in 15min or less it's smoking. Place the steak, turn, flip, turn, rest the meat 5min and chow down. Adds great flavor.

My favorite wood chips
After purchasing my big easy SRG, I bought several different wood chips and have used them to smoke several things. This Jack Daniels wood chips is by far my favorite. I like to use it in combination with some apple chips. Great flavor and aroma. Update 9/29/2016 - I would have to say that these are my favorite chips so far. They go great with everything I've smoked with them. I have a ton of chips I need to use up before I need more...but I do plan on buying more of these when I need to purchase chips.

These chips are awesome. When you open the a bag and smell it it smells like you are sniffing a whiskey bottle. They were half the price at Academy though so I wouldn't buy them again on Amazon. But I would definitely recommend

One of the best woods for smoking pork and cow meat
I have a small hot smoker and use it frequently. Hickory and these Jack Daniel's are my favorite. The package has a zip lock which is very convenient to keep the chips dry.
