I cut cable and had no idea what time it was!
After giving in to my inner-millennial (I tried to fight it), I cut cable and lost my main source of knowing what time it was! Rather than just look at my cell phone, I bought this. I've bought both the 1.4 inch (red) and the .7 inch (green) options and both work great with no issues. I really like that they are back-lit at all times, which displays the time 24/7 like a cable box would. They were easy to set and I have not used the battery option since I am not depending on them to work as an alarm clock. If I had to buy another one, I would stick with the .7 inch option because it is closer to what I had with the cable box and the 1.4 inch option is much larger than needed.

Finally, a simple alarm clock!
Originally I bought a dual alarm clock so that I could conveniently switch between days that require different wake up times. Way more work than I wanted. So my search went back to simple and this does the trick. Alarm gets switched on. Alarm gets switched off. If I want to snooze, that's covered too. The only drawback is that the display is bright but because its got a flat face/surface, I just turn it over and my room is dark again. Who cares about what time it is when you're sleeping.

The night light is fabulous displaying the time.
I love this clock; it's small and easy to set--numbers are big (3/4") enough to read in daylight or at night. The new Fios setup doesn't show the time and it's inconvenient when you want to be sure to catch a certain TV show at the beginning or look at a clock to see how much time is left on a program. This is perfect. I'm sure if I needed it as an alarm clock, it would work perfectly as well. The reason I gave it 3 stars for travelling is that you have to plug it into a socket, although it does have a space for a battery. Well worth the money.

Simple and not too bright
Got this because when I kicked time Warner/spectrum cable to the curb and got Direct TV; the one flaw was the new cable box didn't have a clock. I didn't know how much my kid and I used that clock until it was gone. So I got this small clock and works perfectly.

It works great.
This is a ten dollar alarm clock. It tells the time and alarms at a preset time. No it doesn't have more than 1 alarm setting. No it doesn't charge your phone. Yes it works as advertised. This is a basic no frills easy to program ten dollar alarm clock. Don't complain about the lack of customization for sounds or number of alarms, again its a ten dollar alarm clock.

Simple and Easy
Our last alarm clock drove my husband and I crazy -- it was complicated for no reason! This RCA clock does the job without all the silly bells and whistles. It's smaller than I expected but that's actually fine for us. The lightt from the numbers is not too bright and there is an on/off switch if you need a nightlight. I'm happy with my purchase.

Great clock at a great price
This little alarm clock gets the job done at a great price. This is a no-frills clock that does exactly what I need it to. It has an easy to program alarm, it wakes me up reliably, and it lets me know the time. The digital display shows the time in the dark without being too overwhelmingly bright. I've had clocks whose displays would light up my room. This one does not. Setting the time and the alarm is easy and intuitive. The alarm is loud enough to wake up a sound sleeper- I can say this with assurance, as I am very resistant to waking up. The best thing about this clock is the price- cheap and cheerful! I've just ordered my second of these clocks for another room. When I need an alarm clock, this is my go-to.

exactly what I was looking for...
I had an old school alarm clock that was probably 20 years old. Nothing fancy, no bells and whistles, but it never failed me... and that's exactly what I was looking for. I feel like this is as close to my old solid alarm clock as I could find. I like that it's small, so it doesn't take up a lot of space on my night stand, it's a soft glow at night, but very readable; there aren't a lot of buttons, so it's easy to hit the snooze when I'm half asleep without knocking turning it off. One thing that took some getting used to is that it's VERY loud... but it works at getting me up in the morning so I can't complain!

Gets me out of bed without fail
I’m the type of person that had to set 10 alarms on my phone back to back every morning to wake up. I’d sleep through about 20 minutes of alarm and wake up the whole house before I finally awoke. But since day 1 of having this alarm I wake up the first time every time. I strategically placed it across the room so I have to physically get out of bed to turn it off every morning at which point I run straight to the cold bathroom, turn on the bright light and start really waking up and that’s worked perfectly for me, even when I had to wake up at 3am for work at 5. No one complains about the alarm going off all morning anymore and I haven’t been late to anything. Plus it’s convienent to be able to simply turn my head and see the time at any given moment instead of picking up my phone, looking at my wallpaper, putting the phone down, realizing I forgot to look at the time and then picking my phone back up

Like Sands Through The Hourglass...
I purchased this clock after my old one became possessed and started acting foolish. I had my old one for well over fifteen years and did not want to have to see it go. However, when the alarm randomly goes off at 320a when it’s not even set it is grounds for immediate termination. Not really, it took me 3 weeks to decide on this clock. Though I have not spent as much time with this one yet it seems to be doing its job properly. I’m late on my own terms, not because I have a janky clock. The numbers light up green which I appreciate. Waking up to red numbers is a negative way to start the day. Green means go, like go back to sleep for ten more minutes. Better make it fifteen. It’s a simple little clock. It doesn’t take up much space and seems to get along with the record player it shares a power strip with pretty well. I assume it likes long walks on the beach because who doesn’t really?! All in all it’s fitting in nicely so far. It’s adapting well to the time change, which makes one of us. I look forward to overthinking another digital clock purchase in what I assume will be a shorter span of time. Rest In Pieces old clock. Gone but not forgotten.
