My cockatiel love these treats. I break pieces off to put in a separate treat bowl away from his food to add variety, keep him from being bored and to help with his foraging habit. Once he's done with the entire treat he plays with the plastic holder so its like a treat and toy in one buy.

This stick treat is meant to hang in the cage. Knowing my parrot well, I know most would be at the bottom of the cage. I ordered these wondering how hard they would be to breaks into bite size pieces. Thankfully, not too hard as I have arthritis in my hands. It takes a bit of work but well worth it, the pieces are perfect for putting in a fiber ball toy that he can forage to get at the pieces. I also add a few into his feed bowl occasionally. He is getting older, 40+ years and I need to keep his weight up. This treat appears to keep him occupied and not bored as he works at getting the pieces from his ball and also when being picky with his food. I am so pleased I have these on Subscribe and Save for a monthly delivery. It is meant for a smaller bird but when it is broken into pieces he finds it enjoyable to hold the pieces after he gets them out of his toy. Obviously it is not a maintenance food, nor something you should use as a daily feed, but when sprinkled with AviGain and AviGreen . Two other products I highly recommend for an aging bird.

My four cockatiels love these. I put it in their cages before going to work and when I came back later that night it was almost all gone. They don't even eat their millet spray like this. If you are looking for a treat that will entertain them, keep them busy and they will love look no further.

Scout, my cockatiel LOVES these honey sticks. If I dare to buy any other brand they just hang in his cage and he pecks at them to destroy them, but he won't eat them. Scout is now 18 years old and still going strong, he gets a honey stick about once per week. I love Amazon for buying honey sticks because it is much less expensive AND the biggest reason is that in stores they are usually broken to bits and the bird doesn't get to use the product when it is a nasty mess. Once at PetSmart I searched through all the treat sticks they had on the shelf and they were all crumbled into bits. So, as long as they are packaged correctly from Amazon, they arrive in great shape and Scout gets his weekly treat.

These are a must have for my cockatiel. She loves them, and they stay in one piece pretty well until the very end, so very little of it falls and lands underneath the cage bars. I've also been pouring the crumbs at the bottom of the bag into her feeder, which she also loves. I've even started leaving the plastic hanger piece in occasionally as a temporary perch to mix up the environment without having to deal with the annoying bars. Usually I secure them to the bars with the flatter end, not the one that's shaped like a hook, but the one that's shaped like a rectangle. I just stick it in between the bars, press against them, and twist it around until it's perpendicular. It feels more secure this way. The other way it feels a bit unsteady. Also of note: When she sits on it, even when she has barely eaten it yet, she can't poop on it. At least I've never seen it happen. But when they're sitting on it normally they shouldn't be able to.

My cockatiel loves the treat and it keeps him busy for long periods of time. Also was handy to have hanging in his cage along with other food & water when we went away for a few days. Will buy again!

Same as the rest reviews , great product , needs to be packaged better , broken ones don't last long and I have had several , fix it or I will switch products!

These sticks don’t last too long! My cockatiels devour them and keep singing all day long, will buy again

My cockatiels' personal reviews- Piper: "Pretty Bird Pretty Bird" Cosmo: (wolf whistle) Tweezer: "Hey! Hey! Hey!" Bumble "woof woof woof woof woof" (don't worry..he imitates the dogs, he's not having an identity crisis) Nicky: "Hello" "Hello" and Jingle: no comment..beak was full of Honey treat

My (10) year old Cockatiel, Corky, and my (3 1/2) month old Lovebird, Precious, could not get enough of this honey-coated, nutritional treat. They each come with multiple ways of attaching them to the inside and/or outside of their homes. (even hanging half of the treat inside, and the other half outside of their home. They both literally loved this treat, and besides that Amazon has it for a fantastic price. A lot cheaper price then the pet stores around my region of Ohio.
