I originally purchased these several years ago, and they have remained sharp and wash well in my dishwasher. I recently bought another set as I was happy with my original purchase. One must be careful as they are sharp, and I did cut myself a few times with the original set, but I do find them very useful in the kitchen. I do not mind the bright colors, especially as I keep one just for slicing onions and garlic, and thus I avoid other food tasting of onion.

These knives are fantastic! The photo absolutely does not communicate how comfortable, versatile, and nimble they are!! I wasn't really expecting all that much -- I was looking for a little set of color-coded steak knives for my family. We're eating more home-cooked food, these days, and I wanted knives I could sharpen. Knives that would slice cleanly through meat at the table, rather than saw and rip, (like most serrated steak knives). And these are everything I wanted, and more! They sharpen beautifully, and slice through meat, (and veggies too), like little scalpels!!! (Keeping in mind that a sharp knife is a sharp knife, you would not want to hand one to a toddler . . . ) But if you're feeding a group of adults who want to slice their steak, pork chops, or chicken into bite-sized pieces easily and smoothly, these are perfect!! A huge bonus that I did not expect, though, is that I find myself reaching for these knives when I'm cooking, too. Comfortable to hold, easy to control, and sharper than the dickens, these are a joy to use in the kitchen as well as at the table. And while there's no substitute for having a couple of great big ol' knives with some heft in your kitchen, too, these are incredibly useful . . . a lot more often than I expected! And, on top of everything else, they're a bargain, too! I definitely recommend them, (especially if you sharpen your knives regularly).

I got these to feel a bit safer with my kids helping me in the kitchen. Still a sharp knife, but without the pointed tip. These feel like they could be a bit flimsy if used roughly, but have held up well so far, are super light weight, and the kids enjoy using them. They've gone through the dishwasher a couple times already without problems. I'll update if we encounter problems in the future.

I was given a single one of these by a family friend and fell in love with how versatile and sharp they are. They literally cut through anything and with such ease. We lost the one that was gifted so after looking for a replacement I ended up finding out then manufacturer and bought this set without hesitation and they have not failed in the slightest. Definitely worth the buy and whenever they lose or if they ever lose sharpness I'll buy another set.

Wow, these are sharp! I got these to cut all kinds of things in the kitchen, from vegetables to meat. These small knives can do it all! They are lightweight as well. While I prefer a uniform color for my knives, I don't mind the bright colors because these knives deliver. Keep them away from young kids. They are easy to clean since the handles are plastic.

This is an excellent and very useful set that will be a very good addition to your kitchen. The small paring knife and the peeler are very sharp, but I especially like the large serrated knife for its versatility: it is excellent for slicing almost anything, from bagels and bread to tomatoes. The Fibrox handles provide a firm and comfortable grip. The small wooden board is essentially a bonus at this price point and nicely complements the set; I recommend applying mineral oil to the board before using it to protect the wood and keep it sanitized. They also come nicely packaged (with protective sleeves on the blades, as shown in the picture) and are a very good gift option. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

If you have trouble concentrating, drink too much or take feel good pills do not buy this knife. If you are a little kid do not touch. If you are a professional or like me just one who is sick and tired of dull knives of this sort all over the place that can not be sharpened no matter how hard you try then these are for you. Just remember you can not let your mind wander and must always be aware of where the knife is going and where your fingers are. Try one of these knives out. You will then feel cheated all these years and proceed to dispose of more than one sorry small kitchen knife in the drawer. Not many products have ever caused the level of amazement I have experienced with this purchase. Update: After my initial "knife fright" have calmed down. Now after two or three weeks, I can finally test how sharp it is per usual with my thumb. Here's what I suggest you do. Carefully slice easy stuff such as carrots and the like on a cutting board until this thing dulls down slightly. My wife now uses this knife every day to prepare meals. She loves it and uses no others. I highly recommend you purchase these four knives. She uses just the one and we have three more in the wings when we want a new one. A bargain really.

Count yout fingers these suckers are sharp..... Real nice feel in your hands. I do all my prep work above the counter and these fit the bill. Oh by the way did I tell you these suckers are sharp.

I got this knife at a work training as a gift last year and everyone in my family uses it when they need a knife. It cuts everything easily I really love these. Not a huge fan of the colors and was afraid their black knives would be different.

I have several Wusthof paring knives, but I like these better. The blade is thin, strong and sharp, and the handle grip is comfortable. They hold their edge well, but can be sharpened should it become necessary. Although my most expensive Wusthof paring knives have lasted ages, the less expensive ones have not, two even have broken points. For the price, you can't beat these.
