The Boxes Lived To Tell

Sturdy-MASSIVE boxes with no instructions. For a person who needs instructions-even if it's only one step. But the boxes were worth looking clueless for about five minutes. For this price, how sturdy should "cardboard" be? Excellent boxes. I purchased six. Could've probably easily done fine with three. But they're great storage boxes for almost anything. How these boxes are packed makes them work as they were designed to function. Not like a closet in my house. Just sayin. I'm not going to hang heavy coats, winter sweaters, and evening gowns from the bar and miraculously expect a cardboard box to withstand top-heavy weight like that. (Yes enforce the bottom and any weak points with a strong adhesive tape where needed) and they should work fine properly loaded on a moving truck.) The only downside was the packaging in which the boxes arrived. Now that was a miracle! The boxes survived the journey here. Looked like they were loaded on a horse drawn wagon and covered six months on the prairies, through the mountains, rivers, and woods. And maybe lived through a few a gun battles on the way. Sheesh! True Grit.

Very High Quality Garment Moving Boxes

These high quality garment boxes are great for moving suits, dresses, coats, ties, and etc. The boxes are two feet wide, and make use of a heavy duty steel cross bar that is designed to hold more weight without bending than the box itself could even handle. You simply tape up the bottom flaps of the box, drop the steel bar into the supplied cut-outs on either side of the box, and then start loading your clothes. When finished, you close the flaps at the top of the box over the metal bar and you have a completely enclosed garment moving box! While a bit expensive, they are indispensable if you need to move clothes that must stay hanging during a trip. Five stars. Note: - Don't forget to carefully open the boxes at your destination, flatten them back into flat packs (the way they come shipped to you), and store them for possible future use! If you keep them in a reasonably dry location, they should last a long time. - If possible, keep the box in which these three boxes come shipped to you. You can use it to store the three boxes! - This set comes with three boxes, each with a two-foot hanging width.

Great quality boxes 5 stars

These are great quality boxes I am a woman with lots of clothes and they are heavy at that. I did not experience any bending or breaking of the handles like some have said maybe they stacked another box on top of this one which that can cause the handle bar to drop down or bend the box. Will buy again!

Great boxes, make sure you get these tall ones

Great strong boxes, quality metal top hanger bracket. Pity I only used them once (as we moved three times in 15 mos, argghhhh). Why only once? Because I "wised up" and got these and used a professional mover. No more throwing stuff on the car rear seat and having to fight with hangers and having your neighbors laugh when you drop your clothes on the driveway! Just kidding. Seriously, get these boxes and move your stuff properly.

Great boxes for moving and/or storage

Great boxes for moving and/or storage. Assemble easily, relatively sturdy and hold a ton of stuff. Worth every penny and so much better than folding and smashing my clothes in a vacuum bag. I placed cotton puffs treated with essential oils into a zippered quart baggie, that I hole punched for ventilation, to ward against any creepy critter wanting to seek refuge - my version of moth balls just better smelling - and cedar never seems to last long enough. Will probably order again for the rest of my wardrobe for our move.

'Life-Saver' for clothes in a move

I bought these thinking "I have a lot of winter coats and dress shirts - better get 3. Well, I only needed 1. But was super super helpful. Once fully loaded these are very heavy. I broke down the one I used when done and put all 3 into storage. My friend just borrowed them for his move and described them as a life-saver for an impossible amount of hanging clothes.

Better than expected! Very durable!

Ordered these for mom as she was moving to an assisted living facility - they were in dry storage for a while and then she actually set them up right in her closet. She used them for a year as her primary closet and they held up perfectly. Later went through another move and were still in great condition, given to a friend that was moving. Very durable, highly recommended.

Wardrobe boxes are so cumbersome to deal with! Instead of going to the store and trying to fit them in the trunk I had then brilliant idea of having Amazon deliver them to me. BEST IDEA EVER. They're pretty good quality and they come in a nice quality box themselves (which I used to pack my mirror and pictures). I call that a 2 for 1 deal. For that, I say it's actually reasonably priced and I have Amazon Prime, so they delivered straight to my house with no issues in 2 days. I bought 2 sets, so that means I got 6 total wardrobe boxes. I also reused the 2 boxes they came in, so I really got 8 boxes. I am such a happy camper, and don't know why I didn't use this sooner. If I could give it 6 stars out of 5 I totally would.

Best way to move lots of clothes

These are a great way to store or move clothing - just take stuff out of your closet, hanger and all, and put them in here. I generally find that I'm getting three feet of closet space to one box, but of course that varies depending on how bulky your clothes are. I also like that they're pretty easy to assemble - just need some strong tape for the seams (I use 3M "Mover's Tape"). If you seal the seams well, I'm also finding it tempting to use these boxes for longer-term storage...it's like having an extra closet that you can put in the attic or basement. The front of the box even folds down to give you good access to your clothes without having to unpack the box. One small thing is that thick plastic hangers don't fit quite as well as you might like because they can protrude out the top of the box. Thin metal hangers certainly fit fine, however. Overall, the only other negative to me is the price - these are somewhat expensive if you have a lot of clothes to move. Still, one of the moving companies I used quoted me a price for similar boxes that was almost double what these ran, so I'm confident that the price on Amazon is about the best that's out there. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a fast and convenient way to move or store lots of clothes.

Strong & Quality wardrobe box for storage or moving

We were looking for sturdy Wardrobe boxes for an upcoming move. We are very happy with these boxes. They are very sturdy- in fact- they are the same quality as the Wardrobe boxes provided to us by our moving company during our last move. Very happy with this product. They ship three boxes per carton. The box they come in is also a great size box to use for your move. We set these up the same way our moving company assembled them for our last move. Three strips of tape across the bottom; One length of tape all the way around the lower third of the box; tape on the exterior of the box across the opening where the bar sits; three strips to close the box and a final wrap around the top third of the box to prevent any potential 'crushing'. After receiving the first set, we were so happy, we purchased an additional set. Highly recommended.
