Acting Bad? Looking Good.

After reading some of the reviews on this lamp, I decided to roll the dice and give it a shot. After all, it is fairly inexpensive and the design is what I was looking for. A bunch of reviews on this lamp were negative and really not representative of what I received. Opening the box and assembly took all of 7-10 mins. Maybe I have more technical ability than most, as I can also use a toaster, open jars, empty lint traps on dryers, and properly load a dishwasher. These skills have come with my advantage of being patient and remembering to breathe through my nose as some other mouth breather cousins of ours have declined to do. It really couldn’t be easier unless it came assembled. Maybe a simple pointer... of starting at the base and pulling extra cord from the bottom as you go would help some. The lamp looks great for the price. If any recall type issues arise I will update my post.

Well made, contemporary style, priced right, simple to assemble, stands straight, hidden cord storage in base, very satisfied with this purchase. Shades are plastic, but with CFL and LED bulbs, should be no problem with heat oriented cracks and discoloration. Post is very slender, but that's perfect for the area I have it in. If you need something more substantial for a larger area, might not be what you're looking for.

Great Product

Received well within stated delivery time frame. Sturdy. Easy to assemble (as long as you pay attention as you're screwing the parts together to ensure no mis-threading). Just the thing for reading and general room illumination.

great lamp just know that the cord is bit short

easy to put together and exactly as described about 72 inches with two lights that have separate switches. Easy to assemble and it has a nice weighted base. The power cord did seem a bit short at around 60 inches but easily fixed with an extension cord. I am using a19 lifx bulbs and not having any issues. REALLY happy with the purchase.

Provides good light in bedroom

I like this lamp more than expected. The main, upward-facing lamp takes a 3-way bulb and lights a bedroom well - even at the lowest level (I used an LED bulb). The extra side lamp allows me to focus extra light where I need it. I liked it so well that I bought a second one. Overall, this is a good lamp for the price.

Great Lamp at a very nice price

I was surprise when the box showed up on my doorstep because it was so small, but as I unpacked it I was impressed with the quality of the product. The fittings are all solid and snug up tight to make the main post appear to be one piece. Although the shades are a thin plastic, they put off a nice even light that fills the space with a warm tone. I am using the Philips 433227 10.5 watt slim style LED bulb for the main fixture and a Feit 2 watt LED bulb in the reading lamp. I wasn't aware that the main fixture has a 3-way switch in it, but that doesn't affect the bulb, it just works on the mid and high setting with no difference in brightness. I am very pleased with this purchase, and believe I received a good product at a great price.

Nice-looking, works well - I'm happy with it for the price

This lamp actually looks nice, and seems to be stable. It is quite tall, and could perhaps use a larger base, but I'm happy with it. My only problem is it's height. I'm 5-ft nothin', so I have to reach on my tippy toes to turn the top light on. I'm used to it. 🙃 I use LED bulbs throughout our home. I tried an adjustable bulb, but that doesn't work in this lamp. I bought an actual 3-way LED bulb, and that works great. I saw that some reviewers complained that it takes a couple of seconds for the light to come on (first off the 3-way levels), and that's true. I think that's just a mechanism of the 3-way LED. It consistently takes a full second ("one-one thousand") to come on. But when you switch up to the brighter levels, they work immediately.

Bought this for living room. It works great. Price was right and the size is perfect for the side light next to the couch. I saw the other comments about the cheap plastic "shades". I find it is not a problem. They are translucent and work well with the LED light bulbs I installed. The side light works very well with an LED floodlight style bulb. It puts plenty of light right on her lap for knitting or reading. Upper light spreads light across the entire ceiling for great ambient lighting.

Great lamp at a good price

I was looking for something to put in a college apartment that wasn't as cheap and junky as some of the others that I've had before. These seem pretty solid so far. With a 150 W-equivalent three-way bulb in the top, the lamp lights a large apartment room very well. The diffuser eliminates any shadowing. I have three so far and I will buy more of them if I need more lamps for other apartments. (I rent apartments to college students)

Beautiful Lamp with Great Lighting

I was looking for a nice lamp for my living room, definitely needed something bright. I was originally a bit wary buying a lamp online due to not being able to see it in person, but I am glad I trusted the reviews and pictures and went with this lamp. Pros: -This has amazing lighting for the size of the lamp, same goes for the reading lamp. -I love that the reading lamp and the main light has two different switches. I typically keep both on, but it's nice to have the option. -I've gotten compliments on the way the lamp looks - It's a very beautiful lamp for the price. -The extension cord is a very nice length, not too long, but not too short. Cons: -None! A very good buy!
