I bought these to install a new exhaust manifold on my 01 f150. They went in just fine, no issues with the treads. The box actually came with two extra studs and nuts, so bonus for me. The nuts are coated, so if for whatever reason I need to remove them, I don't have to worry about them rusting to the manifold or the studs. Also, the nuts are locking, so I never have to worry about them coming off.

They are nuts. They are not flange nuts meaning they do not have the groves in them to lock them to the manifolds.
