I had a few bolts snap the heads off in my exhaust manifold like all of these older trucks do. These do the trick. Good luck getting the old ones out. A few different ways you can go about it. The first being center punching the stud then left hand drill bit. Hopefully it will catch for you and spin right right. Or remove the manifold, stick a nut on the bolt (as long as there’s enough sticking out) then tack weld it, and hit it with a 3/8 impact.

used these to replace several broken bolts on my 04 5.3l gmc . 18months and about 22k miles later none have broken their heads off yet. a machinist recommended that i put them on my lathe and make a score right under the head facilitating removal if and when they do break off , at least there will be stud sticking out of the head. tips for removal of broken head bolts- mig weld a nut and washer onto the broken stud sticking out of the head .if you don't own a welder go buy one , still going to be cheaper than having a mechanic do the job and then you'll own a welder.

Used these yesterday to replace the BS GM ones on my LS Suburban. These did the trick. I liked that the heads are bigger on these bolts also. If these break off I will drill the heads and manifold out and put in good old 3/8" bolts, never had one of them break off of any manifold.

I used these when I installed headers on my 2001 Silverado 5.3L 1500. The OEM were terrible because the heads would break off. These are much harder and the heads are bigger. Size matters in this case.

As far as exhaust manifold bolts go they break eventually no matter which brand you use. That being said don't spend the extra money on GM when these work just fine. Inexpensive substitute that works just as well. Installation tip, on all of the vortec engines be sure and use some pipe dope on the exhaust manifold bolts. The exhaust manifold holes sometimes get machined too far or crack and go into the water jacket and can leak.

you need the longer bolts to use than the ones the kit gives you as so you dont strip the bolt holes tighten them up thanks so much guys

These are the best replacement for the crappy exhaust bolt that come on LS engines. They have a nice coating on them and the head is bigger than the stock ones.

I used these to bolt on the "Speed Engineering" long tube headers onto my LQ4. These bolts are a bit long and had to shave off just less than 1/8" of thread so they didn't bottom out. Great little high grade header bolts that come with the washers shown in the description picture.

These things work great I broke half of the original ones but they came out pretty easy so good thing for these and you cant beat the price

These were cheap bolts but the engine only calls for 27 pounds of torque. If you are debating whether to buy or reuse you should just buy these. New bolts finger tighten and torque. you will thank yourself for pressing that button.
