Works great despite poor packaging by Amazon

I needed a flash drive quick and I decided to try this one. When I opened the package I realized one side of the package was crushed which was no surprise since Amazon sent it in a basic envelope with No protection. The metal end was crushed from both sides. Sending it back was not an option do to time constraints so I carefully pried both sides back to their original positions as best as I could. I was able to plug it into the computer and download needed files with no problem. This flash drive is obviously well built considering the abuse it took in shipping. I definitely would buy one again and hopefully Amazon improves their packaging. It's the second time I've received something in only an envelope.

Simple, well-made, and cheaper than an External HD.

This product was the perfect answer to transferring my music from my old laptop to my new one. 32gb is ample space and the fact that I could buy this for so cheap and save a penny from not having to buy an external HD was perfect. This is lightweight and well made. The USB plug retracts into the body for protection, and when you slide it out, it clicks into place so you don't have to worry about having a hard time connecting or disconnecting. I would recommend this product.

SanDisk Cruzer CZ36 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive (more is better)

I like using these drives as they are very easy to use for any kind of data that you need to store for a short period of time. I just cleaned off some files that I don't use much on these drives and now I can reuse them again. The prices for these drives are a really good bargain and I will be stocking up again on different size drives from this vendor. I found that if I know that I will be accessing programs that need to be installed on my computer, I'll put the needed software on the flash drive. Since I use assistive technology on my computer, I plan to add all of them to a flash drive. I fond that when put audio books on these flash drives that I can hold many books and it makes reading them all a joy. You will want to make sure that if you use a Digital Talking Book Machine (DTBM) that the drive has the FAT32 file system. If it is in a different format (like exFAT or NTFS) the player will not read the drive and call it an error. You can secure the drive with the free software that is on it. I never had a reason to do so but I clear it off and keep it in a safe place. The best trick I found is to put a copy of your passwords on a drive like this along with other needed programs to help get your back up and running from a system restore. I'll be buying more as I find th need.

SanDisk is the best!!

This is a very high quality USB flash drive, it is an authentic item (to it's brand name SanDisk, a well-known brand to many for their flash drives, & solid-state hard drives. They are also part of "Western Digital" which is well-known for their external hard drives. ) I'm sure this USB flash drive will survive many years of being thrown into my over-filled backpack for my final few semesters at our local community college. Sometimes I prefer to hang it on my key-ring for quicker access during night classes. Regardless of the reason, I know the SanDisk will still be completely intact at the end of the day. That's why I choose to stick to SanDisk & their durable products.

Good drive

Excellent! Only issue I had was I did not know this was formatted in X-FAT32. I bought this thumb drive to put the movies I have on my PC on it so that I could watch them in my living room on my smart tv... after spending a couple hours transferring files to the drive, I plug it into my smart tv and get an error telling me that the drive was not supported. I tried it on my Sony Blu-ray that has a usb slot for external media and it doesn’t recognize the drive either. I tell my husband about it and he says I need to format the thumb drive with a regular FAT32 file system. Well, I did as I was instructed, reloaded the movies after formatting with FAT32 and bingo! Both my smart tv and my Blu-ray can now read the files on the drive! So, if anyone has problems with your devices reading or even recognizing the drive after loading files in the X-FAT32 format, reformat the drive with FAT32 and then reload your files. You should be good to go! SANDISK, YOU REALLY SHOULD LABLE THE PACKAGING WITH THE TYPE OF FORMATING ON THE DRIVE! That would save people a lot of wasted time knowing this in advance!

Car Jukebox Music

I load this with all the MP3 music it will hold and plug it into my car's USB port and set my player on random. I can go weeks without hearing the same song twice! I no longer waste time and money burning CDs anymore. Since the prices have come down so much for these flash drives I sometimes gift them to friends that appreciate my taste in music. Wish they copied large volumes a data a little quicker but I never had any errors or one fail. And they don't seem to mind the extreme hot or cold in my car. And some of my other devices that have a USB port have a 32 GB limit so these are the ticket.

Proven reliable memory flash drives. A+ for quality and workmanship

When it comes to high quality memory cards or flash drives Sandisk products are the state of the art standard. I've used mostly all of the other ones out there with mixed results. Some were good and some not so good..but I never had a Sandisk drive or memory card fail on me ever. When you buy one of these you know and can be confident it's going to work. This brand has proven to be extremely reliable time after time. I use them to take my data with me on office machines and to back up all my mp3's at home. High marks for quality and workmanship

I use an ECC system.

This thing is fast. I don't care about what they say about USB 2.0, as it's faster than any other USB storage stick that I've ever used. This thumb drive is just perfect for my work documents. I work from it every single day. It's just that it would be nice if they made one that's bigger, like 256 GB. I could probably use one like that someday.

Good price per capacity. It has a small orange light that pulsates when it's plugged in. It locks into either the open or closed positions. Speed is good: 8 to 12 MB/s on 50 to 60 MB files, 6.5 MB/s on a 250 MB file. (Win 10 on a Dell Latitude E6520).

Everything I hoped for!

This device has allowed me to consolidate several other flash drives plus allows lots of room for backing up data in large quantities. The speed is very good. I provide IT support, so I've connected it to many computers of various types and have never had a problem with it connecting successfully. It seems solidly built and the retractable plug feature (no cap needed!) makes it even easier to work with. The plug extends far enough out of the device to reach fully into every USB port I tried it in. I cannot comment on the software that came with it as I deleted it right away. A lanyard of some sort would have been a plus, but lack of it is certainly not a deal breaker. There is a solid attachment point to connect your own thread-type lanyard if you'd like. I would definitely recommend this to others!
