On our recent vacation to Coronado island, we were concerned with which wagon to buy? What will carry everything and not get stuck in the sand? After a bit of research, we purchased this wagon. I was not excited about the $120 price tag as it seemed a bit excessive when compared to the other lower price point options. But I will say that this wagon did everything we needed it to do and more. When you hit the beach and the soft sand, it is tough to pull any wagon through that is loaded up. Our 14yo lad did a great job. One thing I noticed while he was pulling everything is that while it was tougher, the wheels continued to turn. They did not get bogged down. While at the beach, I would watch others using their wagons only to see that their smaller and skinner wheels would get stuck in the sand and stop turning. This turns a relatively straightforward exercise into literally dragging dead weight through the sand. Back to our story, our son was able to pull our wagon through the soft sand. The wagon carried our cooler (ice/drinks/sandwiches) along with 3 full sized boogie boards, all the sand tools, towels, footballs etc. I would follow behind the lad while he was pulling and I positioned the umbrella so it was sticking out the back of the wagon. This allowed me to "help" by putting my hand on the umbrella (out the back) and help give a little push while he is pulling. This was MORE than enough to lighten the load and get the wagon through the soft sand. Once you get near the water, the wagon takes minimal effort to roll to your final destination. Pulling the wagon on hard ground is a breeze. Now we read some stories on how this wagon is set up with the front wheels positioned inside the outside wheels. This CAN cause a tip over if you do not probably load up the wagon. Put all of your heavier items (cooler with ice/food) and 3 boogie boards in back and that eliminates (or significantly minimizes) the wagon's ability to tip. For the week we were in Coronado, our 14yo lad tipped the wagon once on Day 1. As he was still learning on how to drive the wagon, he learned what not to do and never again tipped the wagon over for the remaining six days. So that is a non issue for us. Truth be told, while the $120 is a stiff price to pay, this wagon is top of the line. We had a few people on the beach ask us about it as they were impressed. Once you are done using it, you grab the metal white bars in front and back and the wagon collapses down like an accordion. The wagon comes with with external sleeve that you slide over the collapsed wagon to secure it for packing in your car or at home. This really is a slick wagon once you get past the $120 price tag.

We love this cart. We own a condo 3 blocks from the beach. This cart holds everything we need for a day at the beach. The wide tires roll easily in the soft sand. The cart is easy to open and folds easily. It also comes with a bag to store it in. It is worth the price. I highly recommend.

This is an excellent cart for transporting stuff to the beach. The large wheels don't dig into the sand like other beach carts. It glides effortlessly on paved surfaces but will require some effort to get it moving through the sand, as expected. I compared this cart to a very similar looking one from Sam's, this one is more expensive but worth it for a number a reasons. It will last longer, has better tires, better quality materials, etc. Follow the directions and store heavy items in the back, I didn't and it flipped backwards when I was pulling it up a little sand dune. Customer service at Mac Sports went above and beyond what is expected when I had some issues with shipping. I appreciate their extra effort in making sure this arrived on time for my beach vacation. Buy this cart and you won't be disappointed.

I really like this cart. I think that it's really well designed and thought out. We thought it was great at the beach. Here's some more advanced notes: Pros: - This cart is extremely well thought out. From the cover attaching to the unit to keep it folded together during transit, to the large wheels for getting through soft sand. It is a workhorse for sure. - The pockets on the front are perfect size to fit even a 30oz Yeti, yet stretchy enough to hold smaller stuff as well without falling out. - Handle is broad and ergonomic enough that your hands don't hurt while pulling it though soft sand. It latches tight in the extended or collapsed position and the red "hook" on the handle locks into the main frame of the cart to keep it upright and not laying on the ground. - Capacity. This thing is a workhorse. We loaded this thing with a ton of our junk for full days on the beach. I didn't weigh the full unit, but I believe we probably had in excess of 80 pounds in it and it rolled perfectly. - Weight. This unit is remarkably light for what it can handle. We were very impressed. My petite wife could lift and manuver it just fine. It doesn't take a brute to deal with this cart. Neutral: - The manufacturer notes that for heavier loads to put the heavy items in the back of the cart for easier rolling. I found that with the heavier stuff in the back, when pulling it through very soft sand, it tended to do "wheelies" on the back tires as I pulled it. It still rolled, but this was just something I noticed. - When the unit is in the travel case, I would like to be able to carry this from the side "briefcase style" and there's no handle on the cover to allow carrying it in this fashion. You have to carry it from the main handle or roll it. No deal breaker here, just something I personally would like. - Price. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. Cons: - Couldn't really find any. Overall this was a great purchase for our beach trip. I envision getting much more use out of it, and I would totally recommend this for beach trips, sports activities where heavy loads are concerned, or other events where you would need to carry a heavy load any sort of distance. Great Cart! It folds up nicely, opens up easily, turns dependably, holds plenty of stuff and is quality built! The big tires and tall stance came in handy when the beach path took us through some tide pools, about 10" of standing water. I took it slow and the wagon pulled right through and kept everything high and dry! Sullivan's Island, SC has pretty fine sand, and in most places it was pretty well packed. The cart pulled easily and handled the soft fluffy parts well too. We are very happy not to be toting arm loads for 3 blocks from the car to the beach! Easy to rinse off and stow, even in the back of my Beetle. The handle works well, extends and locks into infinite positions. I like how it stays up too and locks into a storage mode. We hauled a set of beach chairs, small cooler, bag of towels and snacks, 2 boogie boards, 3 tumblers of ice water and more! Only con is that it is loud on the pavement, kind of like the old Big Wheels Trikes from the 80's.

This little wagon made our beach trip a totally different experience. Other people had wagons with the thin, gripped wheels and they ended up bogged down in soft sand. This wagon is made with wide, smooth wheels with two narrow front wheels that glide over even the softest sand. As much as I love the beach, walking thru soft sand is a workout, and dragging chairs, coolers, blankets, beach bags, body boards, etc can really be a hassle that is physically exhausting. Our beach trip was hassle free. The wagon is durable, easily folded, and comes w/ a cover. Some complained about the wheels not locking, but I store mine upside down (wheels up)- problem solved. It has cupholders on the side, a retractable handle for pulling, and is made exceptionally well. I researched extensively on beach carts and wagons and this was most definitely the clear winner. One of my main concerns was the ability to pull on soft sand. Other wagons and carts pulled on hard packed or wet sand, but got bogged down in thick, soft sand. This wagon just glided across the softest, deep sand on the Emerald Coast in FWB/ Destin with no problem. Anyone who has visited the area knows the soft, white sand is thick and powdery like sugar. It was no match for the BeachComber. This wagon held everything we needed all day on the beach. It saved us several trips back and forth to our 6th floor room and we were able to enjoy our day on the beach and relax without the hassle of multiple trips to our room and the physical exhaustion of dragging chairs, bags, etc. One of the best purchases I have ever made on Amazon.

Simply great. Bought this to grocery shop to Publix 1/3 mile away. First trip, bought 9 gallons of water, 4 - 2 liter bottles of soda, eggs and bread. Total weight: 90 lbs. Put the heavy weight in back mostly, lighter stuff up front. Just incredible how easy and smooth it pulls. And the 10" plastic wheels ARE NOT noisy. Sure, they make a little more noise than rubber tires, but to hear some reviewers complain about it is groundless. This is a well constructed heavy duty tank of a wagon. And it does not too easy. Use some common sense. It is a trike. Use common sense. It will never tip over.... Highly recommend...would buy over and over... Also: use common sense...if you expect to put 150 lbs. In this wagon and pull it through soft sand, you are mistaken. Common sense should tell u that. On hard ground, yes. Sand, no. Max in sand around, maybe up to 50 lbs. And should be do-able.

Bought this for one of my married children in Florida. They think it is the best thing they've ever had for taking my grandkids to the beach. It glides over the sand instead of getting bogged down. It pulls very nicely and isn't top heavy or wobbly. They like it very much.

Have used this a handful of times at the beach since receiving it and LOVE it. -Arrived well before predicted delivery date. Awesome! -Easy set up and take down. -Collapses for storage, space saver. -Wide tires maneuver easily in sand. -Construction is good, not flimsy. -Only CON, which has not been an issue so far, is the sides are soft, not rigid. Carefully loading the cart makes this a nonissue. The soft sides make for easy collapsing.
