Great for my Jack Russel terrier! He could destroy anything but this frisbee is pretty tough and he loves it too much. He'd rather drop it at my feet so I can throw it again than tug on it but he does occasionally and eventually is shows wear but it's been used hard for two months now and has at least a few more months left. I already bought two more, one for the beach house and one in back up. I can throw this forehand and get a lot more distance that way. It took a dozen tries to get make the adjustment in technique but now it soars and my Jack runs like the wind to catch it. We use it in the lake and the ocean all the time and it floats and the orange ring makes it stand out in the water. I love it and so does Ziggy who gives it Five Woofs!

It's been a week and it still has life in it. I know that doesn't sound like much, but we count frisbee life in hours, sometimes minutes--never before in days with our super zealous Rottweiller/Shepherd/etc mix. Even professional-grade, fairly expensive frisbees have never made it a second day. The thing is, she absolutely loves catching frisbees and we love her acrobatics. I've just ordered three more of these. Besides being durable, this is just a great toy. It flies well, folds and packs easily and is soft in our hands and her mouth. Chomped up plastic toys are not great on your fingers.

Our dog goes crazy over these flying discs. I prefer these types over the hard plastic ones, these are much safer for the dog. I have tried several types and sizes the last couple of months and they all worked very well. My favorite is still the 10" Floppy Disc, but that might be because I have used it more than the others. This particular one seemed a little lighter and had some significant hang time. Maybe with more practice this will become my new favorite. I have tried the ChuckIt listed here, the Floppy Disc, and the Tail Spin. I've also tried different sizes, 10" and 12". Right now I prefer the 10" Floppy Disc the best, then the 10" Tail Spin. We're talking small preference though, like 4.8, 4.9, and 5.0 ratings. As far as the size, I like the 10" disk better as it seems easier to throw consistently.

My dog LOVES these! Part of my daily routine with my lab has been to play Frisbee with him every evening. That was getting expensive with plastic Frisbee's as he was destroying them nearly daily with his teeth (causing them to crack/splinter and eventually fall apart). I decided to try these out and they provide a solid return on investment, though they aren't cheap compared to .99 cent Frisbees. I was going through about $5-$10 in Frisbee's per week (he would sometimes destroy 2 in one day!). And now we use two of these daily - when he returns one to me I throw the second one as soon as he drops the first. The first set of these lasted me well over a month - I'm on set 2 now. The flight pattern etc. is very close to that of a plastic Frisbee. The first set we had were retired after my dog managed to puncture a few holes in the cloth and tattered the edges a bit causing the flights to be very wobbly and sporadic.

Really like this toy. My Heeler is really hard on plastic frisbees even the EXPENSIVE JAWZ brand. We have gone through about 4 of the JAWZ brand to one of these. I really like the JAWZ frisbees cause they fly so nice and far, but they get very sharp edges and she winds up cutting her mouth so they get thrown away for a new one. The Chuckit flys pretty far and is lasting longer than any other Frisbee type toy. Note: I wash/rinse all of the frisbees after each play as they get dirt/grit embedded in them that will wear out your dogs teeth.

Our dogs favorite flying disk (2 Black Labs and a Sheltie). We weren't sure if the dogs would be affected by the glow-in-the-dark stuff, but since we typically take them out to run pretty late at night to avoid distractions we thought we'd buy a few glow in the dark toys....as much for us as for them since if they don't bring them back we are wandering around the field trying to locate the toys. The dogs love them and for some reason this disk is their favorite (equal to the new LED flashing ball, which was a huge hit as well). Highly recommend - be sure to give them a good charge under a bright light beforehand so they glow nice and bright for about 30 minutes--enough time to play fetch long enough to wear them out!

My Aussie is a frisbee dog. He loovvveess frisbees!!! For some reason, we had never bought this brand before. My sister recently bought us the "squirrel" version of this toy and we really liked it. Of course, it only lasts about a month with rough and tumble dogs. So, when i went to buy a new frisbee, I saw this one and thought we would give it a try. It flys so well!! I am not the best frisbee thrower and this thing is light and very aerodynamic. It is also has a soft outer rim, which is great for the dogs gums. It seems sturdy enough and I hope to get a month out of it to get what we paid for. Great buy!!

Soft rubber ring around the outside edge, covered in Cordura-type nylon. Throws well and won't hurt him when he catches it in his mouth. My dog loves it. Not only does he love to chase after it and try to catch it in the air, he REALLY loves to run around with it in his mouth. Not sure why, but it definitely does something for him that a tennis ball does not. He runs around and shakes it back and forth as he goes. We throw it for him about once a week and after about 9 months, it's about worn out. Mainly because he loves to try to chew on it (?maybe the rubber is fun) and likes to try to get us to play tug with him. It would hold up forever if he would just bring it back to us after a throw. Up date: Tried the Kong frisbee too. The Kong works well too, but my dog doesn't love it quite as much and more importantly, the all-rubber surface gets slimy quickly. The ChuckIt isn't as affected by dog saliva as much -- the material absorbs it so you don't feel it as much.

As a border collie owner I quickly realized the importance of the frisbee. Disc golf frisbees while being able to travel far, are made of a harder plastic. This can be problematic for a dog who loves to catch them in her mouth (teeth, mouth issues). Luckily I found this frisbee which travels well in the air, is soft, but most importantly is durable when we like to turn the frisbee in a tug of war match. Also this thing is easy to wash and dry, having exposed it to all different types of weather climates and terrains. Overall I would suggest this frisbee to other frisbee loving dog owners.

I bought the Hyperpet, Chuckit, and the Cosmic frisbees for my 45 lb dog. Who likes to chew. And I do not practice "toy discipline." All 3 are durable, can't say what the limits are yet. She has destroyed other frisbees with ease. The Hyperpet is the best for throwing in light wind. It seems to inflate quite a bit as it spins, it's a bit unusual. I think this gives it extra hang time. In strong wind, this is a minus. Its texture most appeals to my dog. The Chuckit is much better in stronger wind. It's a heavier disc and doesn't inflate as much. I can throw it farther. It has a waterproof coating which my dog has chewed away after maybe 8 hours of use?. I'm assuming that this is something that is nontoxic-it could be silicone, which can be non-toxic. This was good in the beginning because they all get soaked from drool without such a coating, making the Chuckit nicer to throw. The Cosmic is the most floppy of the 3, and is the least good for throwing. But it is still good for throwing, and it has brought many hours of fun for my dog. The Cosmic is perhaps the gentlest on my dog's mouth, and she loves it as a tugging toy. Once again, I don't do "toy discipline." She has torn holes in the Cosmic, it doesn't fly as well now. But she loves it still. I also got a ring throwing device that she destroyed in ten minutes when I didn't notice she had it. That shall remain unnamed. I recommend the Hyperpet, Chuckit, and Cosmic discs. Update: after 3 months, the Chuckit disc is dead, with holes along its perimeter making it not flyable. The Hyperpet is still going strong, despite its seemingly less durable construction; I still like throwing it, and I can throw it more precisely than the Chuckit (the other family members cannot throw it as well as I can, but I played a lot of Ultimate years ago.) But the other family members prefer the Chuckit because of how well it works in heavy wind, and so it gets more use. I'm buying another Chuckit, seeing as my dog loves playing frisbee with it. The dog plays frisbee almost every day, sometimes for over an hour a day, so that's $0.10 to $0.25/day.
