We have a RV trailer so saving space is important. This item is light weight, easily collapses, travels well, does not leave a plastic taste to the water (I washed it once before using), and boils appropriately. Obviously, the boiling speed depends on your elevation too. I can't remember if the listing mentions ounce capacity, but filled to the top I was able to make two bowls of oatmeal and three cups of coffee, if that helps. I read some reviews that said the handle got too hot. I've used it several times and didn't have that problem. Though, of course, you want to make sure you use an appropriate flame and that it doesn't lick up the sides when using. The only thing to watch for is make sure you allow the inside to dry completely before collapsing and storing. Overall its compact, light weight, and perfect for camping or rv's.

I like this collapsible tea kettle a lot. It takes a very little space and is big enough for using it in my RV. The only thing I wish it could do is whistle.

I love a pot that pours well, since a lot of my camping just uses hot water to rehydrate. This pot heats fast since it is well covered and the silicon doesn't transfer heat. Not only is this as light as my titanium pots, but it collapses down to a size that is easier to manage in a small pack.

I bought this for my Niece for Christmas for the ease of taking on the plane to Miami. She loves it. In fact, here's the 1st thing she did when she got back to her apartment ...

I love this kettle. We recently purchased an RV and with limited space I wanted a solution for making tea and coffee while on the road. The kettle collapses into a disc and fits easily into the side of my tiny cupboards. The capacity says it is 5 cups and it is IF you fill it all the way to the top. I filled it with approximately 4 cups of water which was plenty for my needs. The kettle heated evenly and quickly, the handle stayed cool enough that I could pour the water without using a pot holder and there was no off-odor in my water from the silicone. The base of the handle is metal and does get hot but as long as you grip the colored silicone section it is fine. The only negative was that my kettle arrived missing one of the knurled screws that holds the handle on. It must have fallen out while it was in a stockroom as it wasn't in the packaging. I went to a home improvement store and found an 8/32 knurled brass nut to replace it. Good to know if I ever lose another one! I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a lightweight, space saving way to heat water.

Heated enough water to to fill my French press. Worked like a charm, easy to clean, lightweight, and easily stored! Plus everyone at the camp site loved how it looked and how it folded up. I’d highly recommend

This tea kettle was a gift to my girlfriend who is studying abroad in the UK. The tea kettle itself is a decent size, smaller than a metal tea kettle that you might find on the shelves, though you could get three cups of tea out of this depending on the cup size. There is a warning label on the side of the kettle that says low heat is preferable. From what she's told me, she used it at low heat for awhile and then gradually bumped it up to high and it doesn't seem to have damaged the kettle. She's had it since December and has used it daily since then on high heat and it looks exactly the same as when I bought it. Because of the green, plastic/rubber type material I certainly would not use this over an open fire. This isn't a camping style kettle. More of a, spending the night at a friends house tea kettle, or traveling abroad sort of thing. I really don't regret buying it! It's certainly been well loved and well used.

My husband and I bought this for a three month road trip in our pop-up camper. This item appealed to me because it was collapsible and bright colored. Out of all of the items we bought for our trip, this was was the best! It's convenient, holds enough water for two coffees and there were no issues with the material melting (which was something I had thought might happen).

This little teapot is just what we needed for our van camper. We used it to boil water on the induction burner in our van to make tea. It worked great, and the handle did not get hot as some people had complained. Thanks for this product!

I'm not sure why other's had issues with the handle. It's a small teapot we used a lower setting on our camp stove and the water was hot enough to make hot coco. Everyone was happy.
