I have tried many things as a quick pickup before a workout and I am glad I found these. Please don't buy these if you are looking for some nasty processed sugary snack. I have seen a lot of negative reviews and I don't understand why unless the people thought they were buying some kind of super sweet snack. I have bought these in the store as well as on Amazon and they do crumble a little but if they come in bad condition it is usually the carriers fault and not the product. I have been buying these for a year and will continue to do so. People try to compare these to Cliff bars! Cliff bars have approximately 21g of sugar compared to 11g in the waffles. Come on people!

Not a fan of gels for fuel on my long runs so I tried these waffles and found them to work well. In fact used them on a marathon the other day and provided great energy. Taste is good, not to sweet, just right. They pack easily in my belt pouch and are easy to open. Eating the waffle gives you some satisfaction to your hunger vs gels or sport drinks and did not upset my stomach. Overall a great product for someone who needs some quick energy on a long run or long bike ride.

Love these waffles! As a multiple IRONMAN finisher, I swear by these, and not only appreciate the taste and thoughtful ingredients, but love that it's kind of a treat because they're so delicious. I primarily use it as fuel on the bike (solids aren't my thing when running), and these are the perfect pre, mid, or post workout pick-me-up. I love the Honey and Chocolate varieties, and supplemented the waffles with homemade fuel on the 112 mile courses I've ridden. They're also great starter for a brutal, indoor training workout on the bike or as a post-swim snack. Tastes great and go down easy. Not too tough on the tummy either. Those disgusting, chemical-infused gels would sit like a brick in my stomach, and this has been a great alternative! Highly recommended. My wife and I have made our own on several occasions, and while good, this is one nutritional product that I think deserves a purchase!

These work well for running, I do use a brand of sports gels but I find these are even more gentle then those and they give about 50 more calories. Edits: I do find that I can only eat about 2-3 during a road marathon I a also had the traditional sports drink provided on course. During a trail race beyond marathon distance I find I can eat more like 5 for the 30 mile trail race I did in addition to the more gentle endurance sports drink provided on the course along with some fruit at one of the aid stops during the race. I will eat these better then the sports gels even though I find they are drier then the sports gels I had used before, I just have to take enough water when I use these things depending on how well I am hydrating during the race. I like these because they have Maltodextrin in them.

My son races MTB for a local high school team. I'm a volunteer coach for that same team. I also race trail runs. So between us we train a lot. Like a lot. We need something with a little more body than mere goos provide, and these waffles hit the spot just about perfectly. We got a sample at the USPro Challenge Cycling Race in Breckenridge Colorado (Stinger was a sponsor) and have gotten them ever since. PRIME Subscribe and Save is the perfect way to make sure we always have some on hand. These are the classic flavor everyone loves.

These taste AMAZING. The chocolate waffle flavor is my favorite, but I look forward to trying the other flavor options from Honey Stinger. As other reviewers have mentioned, the product can get a bit crumbly when taking it out of the package or biting into it, but I'm careful not to throw the package around in my bag so it maintains its shape. The waffle is not too filling or heavy and is great to snack on twenty minutes before a workout. It's super lightweight and doesn't take up hardly any space in my daypack. I take these as "dessert" on my long hikes or for during a trail run. I'll keep buying these in bulk for as long as they're available on Amazon. I don't notice a huge kick after eating them, but they're easy on my stomach and keep my energy up.

The chocolate honey stinger waffles taste really good. I bought these for a quick, on the go snack to eat at work so I don't go to the gym on an empty stomach. I can't say that it gave me any energy but it didn't upset my stomach when I was jumping around at the gym so that's good. I saw a review on here that said someone adds peanut butter to these so I gave that a try... OHHH my goodness! A little bit of peanut butter on a chocolate waffle takes this quick snack to the next level. I also like that by adding the peanut butter, I'll get some protein. I'm glad I bought these and I probably will repurchase. I'm a chocolate lover so I don't know if I'll try any of the other flavors but they do sound good. Oh-- just a little "warning"-- these are really crumbly. They're soft and fall apart easy. I just wanted to let you know so you don't open it and get crumbs ALL OVER your rug or in your car.

My son has Crohn's Disease and meeting his caloric needs is a daily struggle. These honey waffles have been a big part of keeping him healthy because they're portable and they taste great so he'll actually eat them. Honey has always been important in his diet, I put raw honey in all his shakes for the the energy and calories and all the great natural anti-inflammatory properties it has, so when I first saw these waffles about a year ago, I was really excited to give them a try.

I tried one of these on a charity ride where they were handing them out for free, and it was so good, I had to buy a few boxes. All the flavors are good: vanilla, strawberry, lemon, chocolate, and honey. I'm a cyclist, and in the past, I've relied heavily on energy gels such as GU and Power Gel. However, I got kind of burned out on these flavors. Another problem is some snacks like shot blocks or bars get really hard in the cold. The Honey Stinger waffles don't get hard in the cold, and they taste like I'm eating "real food" which as an any endurance athlete knows is a huge plus when you've been out on your bike all day and need to keep taking in your food. Lately I'm excited to go on rides just so I can eat some Stinger waffles. My only complaint is that sometimes the edges are a bit crumbly and I waste a few crumbs trying to eat the waffle on the fly. May be better for training rides than for races for the same reason - opening a package while racing may be sketchy.

Decided to try these out on the recommendation of YouTuber "Ginger Runner." They taste great and are a great alternative to mix in with my gels. After about three gels I just get tired of gulping them down. They have zero texture, are sickly sweet and coat my mouth. I always have to take a swig or two of water when I eat them. These Honey Stinger waffles have a nice chewy feel, decent texture and are just sweet enough to appease my sweet-tooth. What's more is they supposedly 160 calories worth of energy. Looking at a Clif Shot "Razz" gel package, those are only 100 calories each. I can stuff several packages of these in my cycling jersey pockets and they don't break into a crumbly mess. I've tried the plain honey, the lemon and strawberry flavors. All of them are good, but I like the plain honey best.
