We've had our set of salt and pepper mills for about six months. We love them! Absolutely no issues. There's not a whole lot to say: These put out significantly more quantity than our last (relatively inexpensive) set, which is awesome. Consequently we do fill them more often, but not overmuch, maybe once every couple or three months. I do use them (briskly) over steaming pots and pans quite often, and so far no jams, but I wouldn't push that one too far. (The product could hardly be faulted for elementary physics: steam + salt = mush.) Anyway, I'm so pleased that I'm thinking about getting a few more salt mills. Obviously, I would buy again!

Excellent product. I was so tired of buying those grinders that are made of plastic, and take quite a bit of turning to get the product out and on the food. These are more than I would normally pay for such a luxury, but I expect these to last for at least 20 years. There is nothing like freshly ground pepper and salt to enhance a meal's flavor.

I viewed these on an episode of Americas Test Kitchen and fell in love. Purchased these 3 months ago and they are perfect. Had a pair before these and they were total crap compared to these. They grind so finely...I am amazed. Get you a set. Easy to fill. Easy to clean. Beautiful to look at. I am so proud! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Cole & Mason set looks great on our counter and dispenses perfectly. Our previous grinders often failed to consistently dispenses, but that has not been the case with the Cole & Mason. We bought it with the custom wood base which effectively keeps loose grinds contained rather than letting them "float" on to the counter. Not sure why the plastic base is so much more expensive than the wood, but the wood is working just fine.

These are lovely and work very well. Sure there's some silliness to a Salt grinder, but it looks great and works fine "fresh ground salt" pointless or not. Very precise grind settings and over all they just work great.

I have several salt/pepper shakers and mills and the Cole & Mason Derwent Salt & Pepper set is excellent; the best so far. I like the tallness and the grip and twist works well, even for these "older" hands. Easy to fill. The box they arrived in was superfluous in my case, but if giving as a gift it would be impressive.

Beautiful and stylish s and p set. This would make a lovely gift. They both have adjustable grind sizes which allows easy changes depending on what you are making. The top is easy to twist and is very comfortable in your hand. And the tray they sit on looks gorgeous for the set.

Beautiful, sturdy, easy to use, and they offer a variety of grind sizes. Love these mills. Changing settings is simple. Grinding is a breeze. They deliver consistent sizes and amounts of salt/pepper bits every time. Yes, they are pricey. But once you actually have your hands on these, you'll understand why. High quality, versatile mills that are well-made. Not heavy, but they look like little shiny tanks. When something this well-made is in your kitchen, it just makes cooking that much more pleasurable and easy. These are a luxury, for sure, but a pretty great one. Excellent gift idea. BUY THESE MILLS. You won't be sorry. Especially if you cook often.

I've had a set for a few years and this Christmas I gave away about a dozen of them as gifts; they were very well received. The adjustments are great. My only recommendation is that when you finish grinding on your food, turn them to the smallest setting so they lose as little as possible when you store them. You will also want a small ramakin or something under the salt grinder wherever you store it.

The Cole and Mason salt and pepper mill set was purchased because our other brand of mills could not grind fine. Especially the pepper would come out chunky that is objectionable to some. The new Derwent style mills grind very evenly and down to fine particles. They look better and perform better, so I consider it money well spent.
