These 3-ounce cans are the perfect size for little ones’ hands. With so many colors, if all three girls want pink at the same time, each one can have some shade of pink, or the 3-oz ball is still big enough to share. We keep our Play-Doh in a large see-through plastic box so that the kids can choose a color without dumping out every can. Keeping the lid on the box after playtime helps to keep the dough moist, just in case any of the can lids aren't on tightly. If the dough gets slightly dried out or too stiff to work, wrap it in a damp paper towel before putting it in the can after play. If the dough is very dry or crumbly, sprinkle some water over the ball of dough and knead it until soft, pulling in the crumbs and adding more water as necessary. I’ve been able to restore life to some Play-Doh that seemed too far gone to keep. It just takes water, kneading, and patience. You can buy tools to roll, cut, and shape the dough, but because it’s non-toxic the kids and I like to find different kitchen tools to make shapes and patterns. Admittedly, little pieces can end up on the floor, so we put a large plastic tablecloth from the discount store under the play table. It catches the crumbs and makes for easy cleanup.

It is play-doh what else can I say. Great price, great colors, great for classroom use. I sometimes make my own dough or buy the generic kind, but there is a difference. I am not generally brand loyal and if I could have bought generic cheaper I probably would have, but play-doh brand play dough does seem to last longer and have a nicer texture. I personally like the texture of home-made best- the stove top kind, but it does not always work perfect (user error I am sure), and unless your willing to spend the time and effort to make multiple batches, you get one color at a time. Here is the recipe I use- 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, 1/2 cup salt, 1 tablespoon cream of tartar (don't leave it out), Food coloring, 1 cup flour (and a bit more for kneading). Combine water, oil, salt, cream of tartar, and food coloring in a saucepan and heat until warm. Remove from heat and add flour. Stir, then knead until smooth. Add flour if sticky. Store in plastic bag. I like this pack best for the price, but we also can work on color identification and have fun getting creative with the colors. Will I make my own, yes. Will I buy this again, yes.

I love the color assortment in this pack of Play Doh. 24 canisters come in this kit, varying shades of all of the primary colors. They come in a discreet box too, mine didn't even say Play Doh on it, so it was easy to hide from the kids until it was gift giving time. There are white and black colored dough included as well, which is something you don't see alot of with these variety packs. The containers are about 3 ounces of dough per canister, and the possibilities for creativeness are endless. My kids have played for hours with this set of dough, and they absolutely love it. This would be great for a classroom, youth group, childcare or playroom because there is enough doughs to go around. I am very happy I purchased this set! So are my daughters!

Play-Doh, in an array of colours, as expected. Arrived within 24 hours of ordering. Kids thrilled!

Good selection of colors. I got the whole rainbow (though it would be nice to get a true red rather that 6 varieties of pink). No repeat colors though, so that's nice. Love that they include black and white. They are the first to get used at my house. Other than the fact that I hate the stupid f***ing lids and how impossible they are to open, it's good old playdoh.

....it's Play-Doh. If you've never played with it, I'm sorry. As for this pack, I grabbed 2 of them at Christmas time for my upper elementary classroom. It's great for checking students' understanding of various concepts - model something in science, make a diorama in social studies, model the structure of an essay, etc.

Excellent. 23 different colors. Only one duplicate. Seems soft but haven't played with it yet. For my son's preschool classroom.

I swear that play dough has gotten better since I was a kid. This stuff is practically mess free. It doesn’t stick to anything and when any stray little crumbs dry up in a few hours, they are easy to sweep or vacuum away. When pulling old play dough out of a toy with a popsicle stick, the whole thing pops right out and doesn’t leave sticky residue inside of small areas. I use toothpicks and fingernail tools to get it out of any small crevice areas, comes right out! This also doesn’t stain Or leave oily residue! I LOVE play dough because 2 or 3 colors can entertain my EXTREMELY busy toddler for sometimes up to 45 minutes! That’s 45 whole minutes where I’m not chasing a small child around the house. Sometimes I’m even able to make an important phone call or clean something! It’s well worth the money, especially in rainy and cold climates where toddlers can’t always get outside.

OK, I know we can make Play-Doh at home. But the colors of the commercial stuff are hard to beat, and the pleasure my daughter gets is hard to argue with. Especially when it's less than a dollar a container. It costs less than a shot of espresso and she gets a heck of a lot more pleasure from it!
