Big Truckin'

While its not the all-steel forever-toy like back in the day, this thing is built pretty stout. And its HUGE! I actually bought both versions of the dump truck (the other being the "Tonka Classic Steel Mighty Dump Truck.") If you can see the picture, you'll notice that you can easily put that dump truck in the bucket of this one! Its gonna be a hit for the kid you are buying it for, easily.

Tonka Classics Toughest Mighty Dump Truck

I was so excited to find a BIG Tonka dump truck like my brother had 60 years ago and this is the closest I found. My 3 year old grandson can fit into the bucket and wants me to push him all around the house...hard on my back but worth it for the joy he gets out of it. When we've done the house tour, he gets dumped which he loves. It's incredible how many toys he can put into it and he loves to then dump them out and start over. While the "antique" Tonka dump trucks were all metal, only the bucket is and the rest of the truck is plastic. I've checked the metal bucket and I don't believe there are any corners or edges that could cause him any injury and there aren't any plastic pieces that look like could come off. This is a wonderful toy and good for toddlers and older children.

Great dump truck for kids

This is probably my 2 year old son's favorite toy. We live in a rural area so he is able to drag this thing with him wherever he goes and so far it has held up to it. It gets left outside, rolled down hills, filled rocks, hit with rocks, and a litany of other things that would damage or destroy other toys but this one is solid. So far it isn't even dented or bent, and this is with being left outside for nearly 6 months now (through the winter too). Anyhow this toy is tough, and if your kid likes trucks like mine they will probably get a lot of use out of this toy. I will say it is probably more appropriate for outside play since it is so big, but could be fine inside as well.

I looked and priced like an eagle before I bought it

Bought this for my 18 month old grandson, who was so excited when he opened it, he couldn't hardly play with it! This truck is big. I mean, BIG. he can sit in it! His sisters pushed him around part of Christmas Day in it. The older ones even sat in it briefly, and it holds up very well. This price is so much cheaper than other sites and stores too. I looked and priced like an eagle before I bought it. Great price, superior quality.

Huge Hit!

We bought this for our 16 month old godson for Christmas. He loved it! It is HUGE and I have not seen anything like it in stores. It is made of metal an plastic and seems durable to last over the years. Can't wait to see how it holds up in the sand! I think this truck would be enjoyed by kids ranging anywhere from 12 months up through age 7.

Rugged, Sturdy, Boy Resistant Toy!

This Tonka Toughest Mighty Dump Truck is just one awesome, rugged and sturdy toy for a young boy! We got this for our over sized 1 yr old grandson and he absolutely loves it! He can sit in the bed of the truck comfortably as if he was in a car seat. All the while the grand daughters pull and push him around the living room. This Tonka Toughest Mighty Dump Truck is built to take the abuse from kids, especially an over sized boy to boot. This was the reason we sought out this toy as a gift for our grandson, knowing it could take the abuse of toys dumped into its bed, being pushed around the back grassy yard or even taken to the local beach to be buried in the sand. All the while able to be hosed off and set off again into another adventure from the mind of a little boy. To save money, we searched high and low and Amazon Warehouse is who came through. As we were able to save almost 50% off the local retail price. Not to mention the ability to have it shipped all the way across the states. Amazon Warehouse, a true blessing in disguise. Super Tonka Truck is a Hit

Bought one for my neighbor's son and the smaller version for my son but when we saw t his we both were amazed by it, so of course mom had to order it! It's actually great to have both sizes for different aged kids. This large one they use to tote around hot wheels, Barbies, sippy cups, whatever! They ride around in both of them as well as push their 10 month old sister around for a ride (adorable!) They play with this every day and I love how durable it is and it doesn't scratch floors. Strong like Tonka brand is known to be and still the classic that my husband and I grew up with. Also no loud sirens lights bells or whistles! A bonus is we fill it up at clean up time and my two year old pushes it over to the toy organizer to put his toys away. This also has a lifetime warranty which is wonderful in the event something would happen. We will be back to buy more Tonka for his birthday in the fall!

Huge Tonka, a must have!

I grew up with Tonkas and while this isn't the old school metal 1985 version, it's still a really sweet truck! The dump body in yellow is metal, the black and cab are plastic, who cares, less risk of damage to your kid, it's still awesome. I bought this to make my baby announcement card with another mid-sized Tonka and a small toddler toy Cat dump truck -came out awesome. I also wanted this for my kid whether boy or girl to play with, the size is great, it's huge, we'll be able to wheel him around the living room or backyard probably until he's 3. It was $50 when I bought it, don't hesitate, it's a cool truck and if you're kids for some reason don't like it, you will!

This gift will piss off the parents of any kid

My kid chases the dog around the house with this, the dog takes off running when she sees the little one coming with this and her nails scratch the floor, he smashes it into drywall requiring patching, bangs up the kitchen cabinets, chairs, tables, and baseboard. This toy has brought so much destruction to the wood work and drywall of my house I said the hell with the house and finally gave up. When the dog is dead and the kids are grown up I will replace everything. This toy broke me.

Mobile toybox that dumps.

Well it's huge, yellow and black, and makes my little buddy smile for days, what else could you need? Ok, sure it isn't the Tonka of old, some of us grew up with. No it doesn't have more steel than 90% of the cars on the road like our toys did BUT, it is tough. It's tough, it's huge, it carries half the neighborhood, and makes kids light up just like we did for the big old Tonkas, that's more than you will get for the money with a video game!
