Odor Free, Gentle with Infants
Our baby boy has been using the Comotomo baby bottles since he was 6 months old after he was done breast feeding. We were looking for a bottle that was softer and more accepting of drops and tosses since he wasn't able to actually hold things up on his own yet. We purchased these bottles with the replacement fast flow nipples and the handle grip (these are awesome because he actually uses them to grip and control the bottle at this young age with his tiny hands) and together they just make the perfect bottle. They are easy to clean with your standard baby bottle wand and have a wide enough opening at the top that you can scrub out anything by hand if needed. They don't leave and odors or stains and is one of the main reasons i love using these bottles over other brands. We've used other bottles besides this one and in comparison the comotomo bottles still look brand new while our other plastic bottles and nipples have a little yellowing or plastic fogging over time. i recently discovered these bottles at Target stores as well. A little on the pricey side for 2 bottles but well worth it in the long run in my opinion. I couldn't recommend this bottle enough!

Excellent bottle for transitioning exclusively breastfeeding babies to bottles, it worked for us!
Highly recommended for exclusive breastfeeding babies who refuse bottles. It took us a few months of feeding in the carseat in the car (on and off) before he got the hang of it and weaned himself from the breastmilk and transitioned 100% to the bottle! We now hold the baby facing forward when feeding our son to mimic the sitting position in the car seat. Pros: -Accepted by exclusive breastfeeding babies!! -Soft, short nipples that is easier to suck on and won't gag (The nipple on Dr. Brown both narrow and wide neck bottles which were too long and made my son gag at month 4... he was ok with the bottle when he was a newborn. The nipple on the Phillip Avent wide neck bottles were too stiff). We also tried Num and Mimijumi, which didn't work out either) -The flow of milk on the bottle is great, it doesn't gush out when tipping over the bottle like some of the other fast flow nipples (Phillip Avent), so baby will not choke on the milk when the flow is too fast for them. And baby can learn to control the flow of the milk. -Air vent of the bottle allows the baby to drink the milk continuously and that he doesn't have to stop for air. -Soft squeezable bottle which was important when trying to get baby to learn how to use the bottle. I could squeeze a little milk into his mouth so he could taste it, then squeeze more into his mouth when he was learning how to drink from the bottle (apparently drinking from the breasts and the bottle is completely different). WIth some of the bottle, either the milk gushed out when i tried to dab my son's lips with some milk, or milk wouldn't come out because there was no way to squeeze the bottle, and due to the air vent, milk wouldn't come out unless the baby sucks on it) -Few parts, super easy to wash (only 3 parts vs. Dr. Brown which had way too many hard to wash parts). Dr. Brown was great when my son was a newborn and had gas issues. Cons: -For some reason, the silicon bottle absorbs detergent smell when using dishwasher even though it's supposedly dishwasher safe. I contacted customer service through amazon, the service was great and they offered refund/replacement right away. -The bottle of the bottle is round and narrow, so the bottle often rolls off the table if you accidentally bumped the table or the bottle. Other: - The bottle was leaking for the longest time, until I double checked the instructions and made sure that the nipple was placed into the rim correctly. It stopped the leaking, and my son was able to drink from the bottle successfully. Giving it 5 stars because my son eventually loved it (after 5 months)!

Lifesaver!
Oh were so I start! First off these saved my life, my daughter was exclusively BF for 6 weeks, when I had to go back to work I attempted to give her a bottle and to my shock she did not want it. I bought and she tried 8 different bottles and no luck! I was mortified! I spent many hours and alot of money hoping to find the perfecr bottle for her and nothing. I made a post on my facebook breastfeeding mom’s group and one of the mom’s recommended this comotomo bottle so i gave it a try and wwwaaalllaaa it worked!!!! She successfully transitioned into a bottle and I was able to go back to work without thinking my daughter was starving at daycare! The only downside was that I had to practically tip it up the whole way so she could drink all the milk! Other than that I highly reccomend them!

I am a first time mom and did my research on great bottles for your infants that are similar to the nipple and prevents gas or colic. The Comotomo bottle are outstanding! My son took to it at two months without any issues He is now 4 months old and can still go back and forth with ease from breastfeeding to the bottle. The bottles are easy to clean. The texture is great, makes it easy for you and your baby to grip. The shape of the nipple on the bottle and how wide the area is, doesn't allow my son to suck in a lot of air. This prevents a lot of painful gas. The only bad thing I can say about this product is.....I wish it came in a different color for boys other than green.

Fantastic bottle, with one small heads-up...
After trying several different brands and types of baby bottles, this one is the winner by a long shot. In summary, they have the magic combination of being both vented AND easy to clean. Let me explain... Due to some challenges with nursing we have been feeding our little one exclusively from bottles (with pumped breast milk), so we have had plenty of opportunity to try different bottles! The first bottles we used were non-venting, which turned out to be a big mistake. By the time our little one was a few weeks old she had developed such a strong suck that she would create a vacuum inside inside the bottle as she drank, which would cause the nipple slowly to collapse. Several times each feeding we would have to pull the nipple gently to one side of her mouth to break the seal and allow the nipple to re-expand. Obviously these mid-feed interruptions did not make her happy! Next we tried a well-known brand of vented bottles which vent via a thin tube that extends all the way down through the center of the bottle. Although these bottles solved the suction problem, each one had four separate pieces, two of which contained tiny internal tubes. Cleaning all these small parts was cumbersome to say the least, and the thought of doing it multiple times per day filled me with a sense of despair I just couldn’t shake. There had to be a vented bottle that wasn’t so difficult to clean! Enter the Comotomo bottle (accompanied by rays of sunshine and a renewed sense of hope). This was the answer! What makes this bottle so great? 1. The bottle is vented very simply, via two tiny “valves” on the sides of the nipple, so the whole bottle has just THREE pieces: the bottle itself, a nipple, and a plastic ring which secures the nipple to the bottle. No small parts to get lost! 2. The wide-mouth design and lack of tiny tubes make these VERY easy to clean. 3. The lightly textured silicone body has a non-slip quality which makes the bottle easy to grip. 4. They don’t leak (at least, WE have never had a problem with them leaking) 5. They have a cool, modern design (this is subjective and a matter of opinion, but still…). I can really only find one “negative” to these bottles, and it’s really not so much a fault but rather a characteristic due to their shape. As the bottle’s contents are being consumed, if the bottle is held at a 45-degree angle or so, the last bit of liquid will pool at the top-side of the bottle instead of flowing into the nipple (see my photo). This isn’t a big deal, as all you have to do is tilt the bottle more upright briefly and the liquid will move into the nipple, but it is something to watch as the bottle gets close to empty. Oh, and it’s not obvious from the product photos, but these bottles DO have volume markings on them. They are inconspicuous but still easy to read. We are VERY happy with these bottles.

Need handles for these fantastic bottles??
First, these bottles are fantastic. Only ones I ever had to use with my son! (Sippy cups have been a different beast however) I have 2 tips/suggestions for any new mums or potential purchasers out there: 1. You might (probably?) only need one set of the small bottles, and more of the larger ones. And then only if you are using these with an infant. They outgrow the teeny ones so so fast. 2. Need handles?? I couldn't find any that were 'made' to work with como tomo. There were a couple expensive and larger rubbery 'cases' with handles out there, but that wasn't really what I was looking for - so we improvised. With the soft nature of these bottles and their durability I was able to use these (although not the way they were intended - pic attached) from prince lionheart: http://amzn.com/B003JZAUGM They have worked great for us, perhaps they will help someone else out there looking for handles for these wonderful bottles! UPDATE 04/12/2016: It appears that handles* have now been made specifically for this bottle and are available here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D41LIIY/ref=cm_cd_asin_lnk Thank you very much @Des Moines Princess for the new info! *I have not used these handles and cannot confirm or rate their quality, etc.

Wonderful, easy-to-clean bottle.
I won't get any other bottles. I love these. My daughter is a really easy going baby. Boob? Great! Formula? Sure! This bottle? Okay. That bottle? Fine. This other one? Cool! She really doesn't mind switching from bottle to bottle and bottle to boob. That said, my husband and I got to pick the bottles we wanted. She did spit up so I wanted to get something that would minimize bubbles but washing something like a Dr. Brown's bottle was so annoying. Since these had three pieces and a wide mouth (making them easy to wash), we tried the 8 oz bottles with the level 1 tops. I think I bought these when my girl was about 1.5 months old. She loved it. No complaints. We switched to the two-hole tops around 3 months of age. She was fine with the "medium flow". I bought the handles too, which you could take or leave. My girl is fine grabbing both sides of the bottle now (at 5 months) and she's pretty much feeding herself with only a little assistance from me or my husband. We just ordered the fast flow (I know, 5 months?) because she seems to be a little annoyed at the medium flow and we'll try those next week (which I'll review next month). So far so good with the first nipples. I will add what others have mentioned: if you're going to buy the different flows, they really are teeny tiny holes and they're very hard to see. Printing any type of identifying mark on the nipple so you know which level it is would be great. Another note: I took a permanent marker and made the line darker for 6 oz so I can easily see it. It hasn't washed off after constant use. Last note: Since my mom, my husband's mom, my daycare, and my own family all have been using the medium flow, I'm going to start the fast flow next week (as I mentioned). I'm also going to take a pin and see if I can do my own nipple manipulation instead of buying a lot of extra nipples. I'll update this review with my findings.

Game Changer.
Comotomo bottles are a game changer. I have to formula feed my baby and was on a quest to find the best bottle. You name it, I've tried it. My daughter has always been gassy. So naturally, I started with Dr. Brown's standard bottles. They are good bottles, and they did somewhat help her gas. But she was still occasionally having issues and Dr. Brown's bottles are a real pain to clean. After a lot of trial and error, and research, I decided to go with Comotomo. I wish I had made the switch earlier. I love these bottles! My baby's issue with gas is now almost nonexistent. Yes, they may be a little higher priced compared to other brands, but they are worth every penny. I've been using these bottles for 6 months, and I love them more everyday. PROS: .Bottle mimics the milk let-down during breastfeeding. If you squeeze/massage bottle milk will gently flow out of nipple. .Made of 100% Food Grade Silicone. Much safer than plastic bottles. Colored rim is plastic, but does not touch milk. .Bottles have not turned yellow from warming/sterilizing. .Dual air vents on nipple work wonders for gassy babies. .Slow Flow nipples do not drip milk when turned upside down. .Modern & attractive bottle. Best looking out there. .Soft silicone and round shape make it easier for baby to learn to hold bottle. .No leaks whatsoever. Just make sure that you screw the nipple ring on tightly. .VERY easy to clean. Such a plus! .Dries faster than standard plastic bottles. .Nipples do not collapse as baby drinks. .Easy for baby to latch onto. Wide nipple prevents "bottle-mouth". .Smells do not seep into silicone. Old milk can be a nightmare in plastic bottles. .Durable. .Both 5oz and 8oz bottles fit into The First Years Bottle Warmer. .Great price point. CONS (a few things to be aware of): .These bottles take longer to warm milk in bottle warmers. Almost twice as long in our First Years warmer (about 8 minutes/5oz). .Tight fit in diaper bag pockets designed for standard bottles. They will fit, it's just tight. .Medium Flow nipples drip milk (from the milk holes) if turned upside down. If you're debating these bottles, don't! Just try them out. They are the best on the market. No other bottle compares. The nipple on Comotomo's bottle is amazing and really sets this bottle apart from the others. I've attached photos comparing the nipple to Tommee Tippee wide mouth nipples. As you can see, Comotomo truly has a wide mouth nipple. Just like the breast.

Best bottles for breastfed babies!!
These bottles are wonderful for breastfed babies and I'm willing to bet that they would also work wonderfully for formula fed babies. I heard about them through a Mom's group on Facebook and chanced it by only registering for this brand. When my one week old had a tongue and lip tie that caused extreme pain while nursing, we tried using these bottles to give Mom a break. Luckily he took to them immediately and now at 4 weeks old still going strong! Baby also goes easily between bottle and breast, something we worried would cause an issue. We use paced bottle feeding (technique for exclusive breastfed babies to help mimic the breast) and these bottles made it super easy for Dad and Grandmas to use this technique. Also love that baby does not seem any more gassy after using these bottles, he seems just as content as after breastfeeding. We did try a different brand that was gifted to us and do not like them as much. I especially like that the flow is not too strong for a breastfed baby and that they are made of silicone which holds up amazingly in the dishwasher. Highly recommend these!!
