I bath the dog in dawn dishwashing liquid and spray it on him after drying him it stops the wet dog smell and acts a flee repellent. If towel dried properly and using a blow dryer which kills the bacteria on the dogs skin that causes the order in the first place. As far as using it on myself i don't.. as a guy it smells like baby products to me , I use cheap unscented mineral oil instead which is the main ingredient, Spraying it gives me the sensation of suffocating momentarily til it dissipates which is very uncomfortable , maybe i have an allergy to it?
This stuff is amazing. I live in an area that gets pretty heavily swarmed by mosquitos, especially during spring and summer, and this stuff was the only thing that kept them off my two toddlers. Prior to using skin so soft, my kids would be covered in bites even after using other types of repellent. This stuff kind of smells like a 1980s grandma's house, but it is 100% worth it and quite effective.
Oh my goodness. I just moved to Florida where mosquitoes rule the world. I bought this so I wouldn't have to smell like bug spray 24/7. Instead I smell like my grandma, but at least that's a comforting smell. Works well to keep the little jerks away while keeping my skin, oh so soft. 😃
I love Skin So Soft & wanted it. Not knowing an Avon salesperson in my area, I turned to Amazon. Amazon provided me this product, wonderful for dry skin, and I wipe my plant leaves on one side with it to keep those naughty little bugs away from the leaves. Thank you Amazon ~ your great!
I love the original skin so soft. I got this to use on my one year old to keep bugs away and it does a great job. I know I'm not putting anything really harmful on her skin, it smells great and will moisturize at the same time. It's not something you feel you have to give her a bath after putting it on like other baby bug sprays. Who doesn't love this stuff!!
Works much better than the harsh chemicals for us. We are infested with mosquitos due to a stagnant creek on the neighbors property, woods, etc. My husband grew up using this and they diluted theirs. We do not. I will take putting on a perfume/oily spray any day that works over chemicals that sting their boo-boos only to not work as well. I highly recommend.
Got this in hopes it would help keep mosquitoes away, which it did. I I use it whenever i go out in my yard now. It's a light oil feeling on and it usually absorbs into my skin after a while instead of just sitting on top, in a greasy way, like DEET products do. I like using it for my own yard, but I will still use DEET for forests and such since the this product seems to attract other insects (bees like me more now).

I can't stand the stinky awful kinds of insect repellant. We didn't have too many mosquitoes, but tiny bugs were eating me alive. I like this product.
I have used this for 34 years to keep the mosquitoes and the no-seeums off of me. I have tried a few other products from the skin so soft line and they do not work well for me. I will stay with the tried and true! An extra benefit is it softens my skin too!
