These are great for reusable diapers. They do not shrink after washing and are very thick. You do not need two layers with these. They are large enough to be used in multiple different reusable diaper covers. They stay extremely soft even after many washes. There are a lot of them for the price and I find the value quite high compared to other diaper inserts. They hold up very well and are pretty heavy duty. I would definitely buy them again. If you are thinking about using reusable diapers, I would recommend putting these on your registry. They are some of the best ones I have found for the value.

These work well for my 4 month old. Here is how they fit in a BG 4.0. They are trim and absorb well.

These are by far my favorite cloth diaper inserts. We have various brands of diapers including Alva, Kawaii, Sunbaby, BumGenius and a few custom made diapers by small companies (work at home moms). We have inserts from each of these companies, and the Alva's far outshine the others. They absorb quickly, which is of course awesome, but the best part about them is they hold shape when inserted into the diaper. Several other brands bunch up at the crotch of the diaper as soon as my toddler starts walking which leaves us with leaking diapers and a need to change clothes as well as his diaper. The Alvas don't do that at all. We use these day and night, though at night we add a hemp doubler so that he can sleep through the night without waking up to be changed. Such a good buy! Will be buying more as we grow our stash for baby number two!

The only inserts I like. We have around 40. I use them with the Alva pockets and only need 1 per diaper change. These are trim and my baby doesn't need any special clothing to wear Alva pockets with one of these.

Alva diaper liners are 13.5" long and 5" wide. It takes 6 or 10 washes to get them to the high absorbency state (typical of bamboo covers). They are a little more absorbent but slightly less breathable and feel somewhat hotter than the micro-fiber (non bamboo) liner. These diaper liners are used for a bed ridden adult who was able to give me this comparison description. Since a baby cannot precisely describe how they feel I thought it was a useful feedback to share. Overall, we are pleased with them. Ali Julia review

I used them with the alva baby pocket diapers on amazon. These seem to work great! They are thin and dry well, no complaints here. EDITED: I still use these for the babies who are now 9 1/2 months. They still work really well!! I have now bumgenius as well as fuzzibunz diapers. For those who have these diapers, they seem to work on the bumgenius 4.0 well (though a tiny bit short, so if you have boys, you may want to stick with the large microfibers that are included), and the fuzzibunz, they work with the non minkies diapers. The minkies I have found to be smaller and thinner, so it's a bit more of a stretch trying to pair them with those. They are not as absorbent as the large microfiber inserts by fuzzibunz, though I've found them to be more absorbent than either the small microfiber inserts, minkies, or bumgenius microfibers (which I think are the least absorbent of the bunch). For the size though (since they are really thin compared the to large microfiber inserts by fuzzibunz) they are pretty darn absorbent. Those microfiber inserts are really thick!

I use these with the LBB cloth diapers and they are really great so far! I do a combo of cloth and disposable diapers. These are super absorbent and stay soft after several washes. They're much better than the cotton ones that came with the diaper covers. Make sure to wash them in a load by themselves the first time to get any residue off them. After that I've been washing them together with the diaper covers (even though it says not to do so) and it's been working great so far.

These inserts are amazing. They are very soft with great absorbency. They can be stripped easily with multiple rinses. We started to notice deterioration after about 2 years with about 2-3 washes be week. So, that is about 300 washes before any deterioration. Even then they were still usable, just not as absorbent. They may last even longer if you don't use a whitening agent. We soak (with Oxyclean) the inserts for several hours to restore to bright, white appearance. It works like a charm. So, if the stains don't bother you I'm sure these will work without deterioration for several years. You can't go wrong!

I love these inserts! They are very absorbent, and they are nice and soft, so they fit really well. We use these overnight and have not had any leaks whatsoever. I had bought the Alva Baby charcoal bamboo inserts as well, but like these so much better. The charcoal ones are much more stiff and don't seem comfortable for our little guy. I ordered a second set of these, so that I won't need to use the charcoal ones anymore. Really can't say enough good about these inserts. Our son is 5 months now, so we will have to wait and see how these hold up as he grows and becomes more of a heavy wetter. So far though, I am very pleased with them!

I first started using bamboo inserts made by Nora's Nursery, and fell in love. I had planned to buy more NN inserts to replace some microfiber ones, but picked up the Alva Baby ones on a lightening deal. They are longer than NN, but work well folded over slightly in my snap pocket diapers. Great absorbency, wash wonderfully. My wash routine is a cold water rinse followed by a hot water wash with Watkins powder detergent on my washer's "heavy duty" cycle. I tumble dry on low.
