WOW! My wild birds LOVED this mix!! The birds I feed daily include, tufted titmouse, nuthatch, red bellied & downy woodpeckers, cardinals, blue jays, chickadees, and several other species. They all loved this mix ..not a drop left! No mess means no attracting rodents, a huge plus for me. I love that the larger birds like the jays need to work harder for the smaller pieces leaving plenty of time for my tiny birds to fill up! I open feed along the deck railing twice daily, early morning and late evening to avoid our resident predator hawks.

The birds in my neighborhood love this food. It truly is no waste, which is crucial for feeding on a balcony overhanging my driveway. There is no food waste below the feeder, since everything that falls out gets snatched up by birds. This food has attracted a wide variety of birds and has prompted more than one battle for control of the feeder. Doves can be pushy little things! My balcony has become the place for lots of neighborhood birds to hang out, which has made my cats very happy. Constant cat TV!

I wasn't sure how my little finches would like this. I just recently purchased and filled a multi-port tube feeder and, WOW, there has been a BEAUTIFUL red-throated sparrow , some yellow finches, and other small birds on that feeder every day. (Also, some grackles and cardinals) It's a pretty large feeder so I fill some of this and alternate with some thistle seed and some safflower seed and they like it. When I figure out how to post photos on here, I will add some. LOL. The cardinals, red-winged blackbirds, and other "bully" birds try to get on that feeder for this but they can't hang on too long. They like it too but it isn't for them. LOL!!

Absolutely the best. 1. The clean fresh aroma is wonderful, 2. the texture of these cut-down nuts and hulled White Proso Millet appears to be of premium quality. 3. The blending of the six ingredients - without the cracked corn filler, is superb. 4. With the sizes mostly even, the woodpeckers will not throw out the millets in order to get to the larger pieces of nuts. 5. The nutritional values are high and appropriate. In all aspects this product is fabulous! I only added Nyjer seeds to the feed to keep all the goldfinches happy :-) One improvement I'd like to see is a reclosable zip bag for it's packaging - the bag is already of good quality, but a proper closure is necessary in order to keep the content fresh. Very happy that I found this product.

I wasn't crazy about the cost, but the 20-lb. bag I buy at a local feed store produces SO MUCH mess and waste even though it's otherwise great quality. When I received this and cut it open, the fresh smell and great quality of the contents amazed me. Honestly, I could eat this because it's so full of sunflower and other high quality seed. Since it's getting quite cold up here in NY, all the birds that come to my feeders need more fat in their diet, and they get it with this feed. No throwing lots of millet and shells all over the ground that I have to clean up. We live in a mobile home park, and our landlord/owner drives around every morning to check the park. He doesn't like seeing a mess of shells and other waste scattered about near the parking/road area. I highly recommend this seed, but I do understand if the cost is just too much. I live on Social Security, so I have to cut back on some other non-essential items. But I love the birds, what can I say!?

I always purchase waste free seed at a chain pet store to feed my backyard birds. I tried this seed as it feeds similiar types of birds. To say that this seed mixture is of an exceptional quality, would be an understatement! It also has a convenient wide white plastic carry "handle" attached to the side of the bag. I took a picture so you can see it's quality. Yes, it will fit in any standard feeder.

I like Lyric bird seed. I've gotten samples through the Amazon Vine program, and I've purchased hundreds of pounds from Ace hardware and other places. This mix comes in a heavy plastic RESEALABLE bag. The advantage of 5 pounds of birdseed is that most people won't have a problem hefting it out to the bird feeder. The disadvantage is that is so delicious (or so the birds and naughty-squirrels tell me) that it doesn't last long. The solution to that is to pace your distribution. I've been putting mine out on the rail on the deck. (I choose cheaper bird chow for the feeders.) What you get in this mix is all good stuff. No stems. No sunflower seed shells. Everything is tidy and neat. The mix is going to attract a wide variety of birds. It contains pieces of peanuts, pistachios, and almonds. Also some millet, sunflower kernels and pieces of pumpkin seeds. Everything from Goldfinches to Cardinals will be attracted. Woodpeckers and Grosbeaks too. SUMMARY Obviously NOT a mix for those with severe nut allergies. If you and yours are allergy-free this would be a good mix to attract popular and easy to recognize birds. You should also know that the squirrels will not be able to resist the nuts either. Good, clean seed.

The smell of nuts whaffs past you as you open this bag, the aroma of peanut, pistachio, almond, hulled white proso millet, sunflower and shelled pumpkin seed traveling through the air. This is a feast for our larger songbirds like cardinals, thrashers, titmice, grosbeaks, woodpeckers, nuthatches. Useless shells are not included in the gross weight of this bag. Nothing gets wasted here. I really appreciate not having peas or corn in this mix. I'd like to see this stuff come in a resealable bag.

I've never really been a bird person, but I got a feeder for a gift and decided to try it out. I've been using this seed in my squirrel buster feeder for little over a year now and the birds just LOVE it! I live along a wooded area and all the birds just go nuts over this seed. I have to refill my large feeder about every 3-4 days in the summer and every 2-3 days in the winter. I have a constant stream of cardinals, chickadees, goldfinches, house finches, juncos, sparrows, downy woodpeckers and hairy woodpeckers coming to the feeder all day long. It's really fun to watch them. They've developed a feeding routine where they all wait, fly around and take their turn at the feeder. I really love that there is really no waste seed or hulls in this mix. Anything that falls to the ground quickly gets eaten up by the birds or squirrels. As for those that say the birds in their area don't like this seed mix, you may need to keep it out for a longer time. It took about 1.5-2 weeks before the birds in my neighborhood found my feeder and started coming regularly to it. Once they found the feeder, it's been a constant stream of birds.

This is the very best bird seed I have ever put out for the birds! They eat every scrap, absolutely no waste, and I have such a variety of birds feeding in my yard. There is no millet, or milo, in this mix - they're just waste seed fillersI like to mix this seed with black oil sunflower seed (also by Lyric) for the cardinals and house finches to enjoy, but it's not necessary, just my personal choice..
