Comfortable, easy to use, made travel for us much easier. We got both a Bubble Bum and a Mifold to use as travel boosters for a trip. The kids took turns using them, but in the end both preferred the Bubble Bum. They found it to be more comfortable and easier to use on their own. They said that the hooks on the side of the Bubble Bum were easier to slide the lap belt into and out of on their own without needing grown up help (and the lap belt was still securely held in place while we were driving). I still helped with the clip that attaches to the shoulder strap behind them. I still prefer a more traditional booster for everyday use, but for travel this will be the one we use in the future.

We have three of these seats for our boys (ages 5, 6, and 7). These are great seats for travel, as they collapse and fit inside a carry bag. Perfect to throw into your carry on or suitcase! I could also have really used these when we had two in car seats and one in a booster. Many vehicles are too narrow to fit three seats across (unless you have a slim seat like a Radian), but these are perfect because there are no hard plastic edges around it that would prevent it from squeezing in a small pace. Our kids think these seats are comfortable, too. We don't use these as our everyday seats, as I do prefer something with a bit more structure (and has a cupholder); however; these are great when you are traveling so you don't have to lug a big booster around with you. They are also great if you are going to be traveling without a rental car, but will be riding in a taxi/Uber etc. Highly recommend!

We needed something safe and portable for a trip to Europe with our 3.5 year old. He's huge for his age (42 inches, and 42 lbs.) so he qualifies to use the bubble bum even though he is not 4 years old. It rolls up very compactly and comes with a small drawstring bag for storage. I brought it in my carryon backpack for the flight, and have been carrying a larger purse on excursions so we can bring it around with us. It is so easy and quick to inflate! I bring it out when my husband hails a taxi and in 45 seconds (4 or 5 puffs) it's blown up and ready to go! It doesn't take long to slip the seatbelt through all 3 positioning clips, and my son loves sitting on it. Once the cab ride is done it's easy to deflate and I roll it up to put back in my purse. I originally bought the Mifold for the trip, but returned it after I realized it was not rated by the IIHS. The bubble bum has been great and I love that the case is included in the price (with the Mifold it was not). As a random side note this also doubled as a pillow on the flight since it's reasonably soft with the cover on it. I can't speak to durability as we've only had it for 2 weeks, but I plan to use this for domestic travel now as well vs lugging the high back booster around.

This has been a great travel car seat! I was so surprised to find this. Blow it up like a balloon and set it in the car. Turn the nozzle and it deflates and rolls up into a small bag and fits in our backpack when we hop on the plane. My 5 year old likes it (makes him feel grown up!) and we can use it in any rental car without the hassle of checking a full carseat. I also use it as an extra car seat for my niece and nephew.

Product Review: This inflatable booster worked great for us! My husband was quite skeptical but we both thought it was perfect, especially for traveling. My daughter is 6 but quite slim, and since she just clicked over the 40-lb. weight minimum for boosters, she is still in a convertible booster with a 5-point harness because I believe it's safer and she doesn't complain so why not? However, we recently took an airplane trip and since we already had to travel with my younger son's carseat, we did not want to lug 2 full sized seats through airports. We decided since driving on our trip would be minimal once we got to our destination, to go with this booster. I'm so glad we did. It inflates and deflates like a breeze. It rolls up and fit in my daughter's backpack until we needed it. It was easy for her to use, comfortable to sit on, and the belt guides were easy to use and kept the seatbelt perfectly placed on her shoulder. It will be perfect to keep in my car to use when we have an unexpected friend ride along with us because it's small and will fit nicely in the middle seat between our two very large Britax convertible seats, which hard boosters probably would not. I'd purchase again without hesitation. Warehouse Seller Review: I ordered this item as New/Like New from Amazon Warehouse Deals. We received it in a torn and re-taped box (as expected) but sadly the item had clearly been used. It had food (?) crumbs all on it, along with a large amount of dog hair. So, we returned it and since we needed it right away, we bought the same item at Walmart for almost the exact same price.

I am very happy with this purchase. I was planning a trip with my 5 year old and the thought of having to bring a booster seat everywhere seemed like a nightmare. We were planning on taking a lot of Lyft's and Uber's and needed something compact to store while we walked around. After using it for 6 days it was extremely easy to carry around. It deflated enough to fit in a small child size backpack and light enough for my child to carry around. It took seconds to inflate and only a few seconds to buckle. Going forward I am definitely recommending this to anyone who has to travel with kids or anyone who needs extra space in their backseat. I definitely would not replace it with her regular booster but this would be perfect to pack for grandparents and travel

I have two Bubble Bums and while I have a couple of qualms with it, it is still deserving of 5 stars. I travel a lot with my daughter and we use Uber a lot. The Bubble Bum, when deflated, fits in a larger handbag. We pull it out, inflate in a few seconds, jump in our Uber, buckle up, done. I recommend this seat to so many people. Here are my problems with the seat: It needs a better system for rolling up and securing with the belt strap. We’ve made it work, but this is a design flaw. After rolling up a bunch of times (probably 60+), the seat wouldn’t inflate all the way and didn’t feel as secure as it was lumpy (from the rolling). The side buckles for the seatbelt take a couple of moments to get onto the seatbelt and, while my 10-yr old can do it, my 6-yr old cannot, so plan to help the kids into the seat. Finally, I find the belt-positioning strap has to be reset every single installation (which is a lot when using 5-6 Uber’s/day). Because we also use the strap to keep the seat rolled up, it is off from th shoulder height ‘setting’ for our kid. This isn’t a flaw, just annoying. I wish there were a button, hook and loop closure, or eleastic band to keep it rolled. The bag it comes with is great for traveling. When not traveling, we keep a Bubble Bum in our car for school pick-up when friends tag along.

Did a lot of research on these. I needed one for when we were on travel for my 5 year old. We needed something for when we took Uber/lyft to the amusement parks in Orlando without having to lug around a big booster seat. This did the job. It rolls up into a ouch the size of a medium purse. Although my child is big enough to walk. A week at the amusement parks calls for tired little legs. We brought our umbrella stroller with and hung the seat on the back of that. Never a bother or nuisance. Complete win for all!

Let me start off by saying I have a love/hate relationship with car seats. I have 5 children, the oldest one is 7, so collectively, I probably have been through 30 car seats in less than a decade. My daughter has been ready to graduate to a booster seat for 2+ years now, but unfortunately, due to her parents procreation habits, she's been relegated to life in a 5-point harness for lack of space. It baffles me that mini-van manufacturers don't consider the fact that you may have kids in car seats. Sure it's great Herb and Ethel sport their Chrysler Town & Country with their teacup poodle Miffy, but we use the heck out of our minivan. So, when the twins showed up, the three bigs got kicked to the back of the bus and we panicked trying to cram three full seats in the back row. Thanks to Radian (and $1000), we didn't have to buy a conversion van. So, after squeezing every moment out of the "baby" seat, I had to find a narrow booster. Our standard graco booster had birthing hips like my wife, and just didn't squeeze in the back. Enter, Bubble Bum. The name and concept are ridiculous, but, by golly, the thing actually works perfect. I was EXTREMELY skeptical about a blow up seat. Sure we want our children to live in a bubble, but to actually sit on one? Low and behold, It fits her narrow booty perfectly and she's now all proud sporting a booster seat. Granted, there are no frills to this thing. No cup holder, no secret pockets, no fun stuff, just base model solidness. We've had it probably a month and it's still inflated, and working great. Thankfully we haven't done any crash testing in it, so I can't validate it's safety. Hopefully, I'll never have to update my comment about the crash sturdiness. Paranoia, I looked online and sites claimed it was safety checked and legit. Now that school is starting back up, kid #1 is begging to be promoted in dad's car as well to a booster. So, buying a second Bubble Bum. Only negative thing I would say is my daughter complains the seat is "itchy" around the logo. It is raised, and when she wears skirts or daisy dukes, she complained of scratching. So, we improvised and she put a wash cloth on the seat. I'm glad I didn't pay extra for kittens or something pretty on the seat only to have a dirty rag covering it. Otherwise, works great. If you're tight on space, it's definitely the seat for you. I have one in our Odyssey and soon one in an Avalon (adjacent to two Radians).

I was wary about the concept of an inflatable booster seat, but I'm so glad I purchased the BubbleBum. We were going on a 2 week long vacation in the UK without renting a car, but would still be in cars occasionally. All our luggage was carry-on and it made no sense to lug a true booster across England & Scotland to use a handful of times. The BubbleBum fit in my backpack with room to spare. It inflated quickly, installed quickly, deflated quickly. I had no problems with it and my son (4.5 years old, 43lbs) liked it. Bonus points for a name that made my older kids laugh. We never got in an accident so I can't speak to that; but it was well worth the $40 for a little peace of mind every time we got in a car or cab. My only (small) complaint is the air valve doesn't seem to have blackflow protection so I found myself needing to screw it closed while it was still in my mouth in order to keep it as inflated as possible. A little annoying but manageable.
