This is a very nice looking thick blade grass. I had a couple of contractors over today to do some work and the both stopped and admired the lawn. I planted a new lawn in the front yard with this seed and will never go back to rye. Seems to be better suited for the Pacific NW than rye. I have a house in SoCal with Saint Augustine grass; not as coarse as Saint Augustine. Better to walk on. I understand that it is drought resistant, I will test that next summer when it is established. It seemed to germinate a bit slower than rye; don't worry - it will come up. I suggest seeding a bit heavier than the instructions say for it to fill in quicker.

One. At filled in some big dead spots we had. I raked up the soil, watered a little, added the seeds and covered with some potting soil for extra nutrients. Watered lightly for a few days and enjoyed the thick grass that came up. We’ll see how they handle the Texas summer

It works it grow beautiful grass but be sure to prep the ground . Rake the dirt a little bit and put it in a 1:1 :1ratio of blood meal Bone meal and composted cow manure Throw seeds on after you rake then throw your amendments on Water well best to seed before a big rain

This grass grew quickly and filled in very well! It is holding up well. Planted last Fall and went through below normal freezing temps this winter. It is doing well so far with temps in the 80's. We used it to fill in some bare areas, some of them very large. It looks beautiful and very green!

This is at about 12 days, I think most all seeds sprouted, I went to Home depot rented a peat moss spreader 13.00 and bought peat moss there also under 12.00 a bail, bought 3, I would say a bail covers around 6 to 700 sq.ft. watered 3 times a day just to where it would start to puddle, temperature has been in the 70*s, also used (1) 7lb. Bag of Scotts starter fertilizer for 2000sq. Ft. Good luck to all

Germination was in 6 days at low end of advertised. After 3 more weeks it is healthy, green, and has been cut twice. Results are tough here in the panhandle of Texas. Waited for a cool week (less than 82F), raked 2 inches and covered seed with a sprinkling of dirt (about 1/8"), and watered, but not soaked, 3 times per day for first 2 weeks -- Nothing different than on the package. Real impressed that it had hardly any weeds, if any, from the seed. Bought a second bag for additional grub-eaten spots.

My front yard was a mud pit and two months later I have a beautiful lawn! The seed is blue so it may look funny when you first put it down, but I liked that it was visible so I could see any spots where seed hadn't been absorbed into the ground. In those instances I watered the ground, used a hoe to till up the dirt and deposit the seed under the surface...within days I had grass. Tall fescue is soft, brightly colored and is proving fairly durable. Would definitely recommend for lawn care beginners like myself.

This grass is fantastic. I have spots of dead ground where I had piles of leaves. I take the leaves, throw a bunch of seed on the ground (just used my hand wearing gloves) and watered nearly ever day. Didn't even take it in and have had great results. Can't wait to overseed the rest of the garden once I have the patches soted!

Loved this seed and grass that grew from it. I have hard clay in nw houston, i turned the soil 6" deep, put a shallow layer of topsoil, laid the seed, covered with a shallow layer of compost then peat moss. Most of my hard work got ruined by an above normal hard rainfall 2 days after sowing, so 60% washed away😔. What did take, was 1.5" and dense (laid the seed fairly heavy) in one week. Very nice grass though. Update*** (may 15) all the grass that was in direct sunlight has turned brown. Ill monitor it thru summer, if it makes it, it will just be a nice shade grass.

Grows in 4 days without any extra help came quick and the bag says 14 days for growth. The grass is very thin and very fragile be very careful with this grass and once its stepped on it stays flattened it doesn't bounce back like most grasses do.
