Works wonderfully me and solved my tick problem, but all cats are different
Cats are mammals and all mammals have complex biology and the needs and reactions of different individuals can vary greatly. Some people are allergic to some lotions, some medications don't work for some people and some do for others. 2 years ago I had a horrible flea problem in my house with my two cats. It was really bad, particularly because one of my lovely cats is allergic to flea bites and was in real trouble because of it. I tried all sorts of things, carpet powders, all natural sprays, frontline, I constantly vacuumed and cleaned sheets, put out flea traps etc. The fleas were a problem for maybe about 6 months. My cats are outdoors cats so it was extremely important for me to find a solution. Then, on a recommendation from a friend I bought each of my cats a flea collar and the problem seemed to go away. My biggest fear was that, with outdoor cats, a collar might, as some do, get caught and strangle or injure the cats, but in the years that I have been using these collars nothing like that has happened. One time one of my cats came home without it, it appeared to have snapped off and I got my backup and everything was good. So I highly recommend this product and it may have been the greatest influence in my flea problem. However I will say, my cat with allergies had some sensitivity to it and had some mild hair loss around the collar when I first put it on. That doesn't happen anymore and i have not had a returned flea problem, despite being in the same area that often has a high flea and tick alert in the summers. I will say however, that I have read many of these reviews and believe that some people have had cats that have had bad reactions to and injuries by the collar and for some the collar may not be the only thing to work, or work much at all. Animals like cats, that have a vast degree of genetic diversity, particularly as a result of excessive varied breeding, will differ greatly individually. So, it is important when you choose any product for an animal, especially a product that involves chemicals and the health of the animal, that you think a lot about that individual, you try several things, and you watch them carefully for how they respond.

I have a cat who developed painful flea dermatitis
I have a cat who developed painful flea dermatitis. She was allergic to Advantage II. It caused an open wound where it was applied. The Frontline products did not work. Although I was hesitant to pay $50 for one collar, I had no other option. She was literally losing her fur and scratching miserably. What can I say, within one week she stopped scratching and her fur started to grow back. Its been more than 8 months and she is still flea free. Her fur is full, soft and beautiful. No signs of scaling on her skin. This collar really works and it does not cause any irritation to the cat.

Six months. Still working. Healthy cats. Yes, I will buy again.
I have four cats and Advantage had stopped working completely. The house and cats were hopping with fleas. It was horrible. I vacuumed. And flea combed. And used various products in the house short of fogging which is impractical when you have four cats living there. The vet's assistant had suggested these collars as an option. Came to Amazon because the price was much better and I needed multiple collars. Then I saw the reviews where people claimed their cats died and developed horrible skin reactions. That was a bit offputting. I hesitated. But the fleas were very bad and the vet's office--which I trust--had recommended them. I ordered three collars, figuring that I'd put them on my healthiest youngest kitties first (ages 11, 7 and 4--weights 10 to 16 pounds) first. My 14 year old cat (6 pounds) loves to be combed, so I would just comb her. When the collars arrived I, for perhaps the first time in my life, read the package insert that discussed the company's trials of the product. The only notable side effect observed in testing (as I recall it) was some dermatitis. It wasn't a lot of the trial participants but it was observed, and this explains the folks whose cats lost hair. Encouraged by the package insert, I put the collars on the cats. Initially, I was afraid that one of them was getting lethargic. Then I decided he had always been that lethargic and I was just paying more attention because I was afraid I was doing something that might kill my cats. Ultimately, the only effect these collars had was killing fleas. It took a couple of weeks because the fleas had gotten so bad, but they went away. About 99%. And the cool thing is, they also went away on my one cat on which I did not put a collar. Just having three collared flea killing machines wandering the house protects my fourth cat as well. She gets the occasional flea, but it's rare. And while I used to comb her twice a day to get the fleas off now I comb her once a week and find maybe one or two. Which seems pretty unavoidable given that she and two of the other cats go outside. It's been about six months now so the collars are supposed to last another couple of months. Hoping that by December there won't be fleas around to kill and that I can wait until spring for the next round of collars. Great product. Less expensive than Advantage for comparable months of effectiveness. And works like Advantage used to work when it was new.

96 Hours in and Very Impressed
I have three cats, and have never had a bug problem. Two of my cats never go out and don't have a desire to, but in January we rescued a cat who's the type who you want to be an indoor cat and he knocks you out at the ankles when you open the door. Much to my chagrin, we found flea dirt on two out of 3 of the cats a few weeks ago. I got shampoo, a populat topical treatment, and carpet/furniture spray. Combed the cats, bathed them (including a 23 lber who apparently does Crossfit when I'm not home). Vacuumed obsessively, cleaned all our linens. Sprayed the outside of our home with yard spray. Despite the claw marks all over my body, I felt good. I used a flea comb on the cats every day after I treated. Days one and two, nothing. Day three, one or two small fleas. Day four, they were back. This spurred me to buy some Diatomaceous Earth. No luck. Flea collars scared me because I read some bad reviews of cheaper products. I was hesitant to buy Seresto because it is pricy, and nothing had worked so far. Wednesday night, I pulled 25 fleas off just one of the cats. Put the collars on immediately upon receipt Thursday. Friday night, I combed them all...pulled two fleas off one, one off the other, the third had no fleas and no dirt either. We are now 96 hours out...two of 3 are flea and flea dirt free, one still has some flea dirt but no fleas. I'm amazed! None of the cats has had any adverse reaction (hair loss, lethargy, etc) except they hate wearing a collar. The collars were extremely easy to use, and easily adjusted. None of my 3 have been able to pull it off yet. I couldn't be happier with this product. I will say we did not have a severe infestation - fleas weren't visible jumping on the carpets or even on the cats. We found the fleas because my sister is a vet tech and noticed flea dirt. If you have a bad infestation, you might not have as quick of success as I did. Nevertheless, I highly recommend as we had no luck with topical treatments or shampoo.

I should have tried this first! This collar really works.(indoor cats)
After reading some other reviews, I need to qualify my review as it is for my indoor cats. (They never go outside so they do not pick up extra fleas or ticks) This is the 3rd year using this flea collar. I don't know how it works so well. For my 3 cats, I tried pretty much everything from shampoo, powder, the liquid stuff that smells bad and cost just as much as this collar but did not work. First year, since this is fairly expensive, I bought 2 for my 3 cats and one cat did not get one but that was just enough to get rid of all the fleas. Yes, all the fleas! The price of this collar is so well worth it considering all the money I spent on flea powder for all the carpet, flea spray bombs for each room, not to mention the shampoo and powder for the cats. And all this stuff only reduced the fleas for the time being and did not get rid of them completely. So, with this Seresto collars, all the fleas are gone. Since the second year, for my 3 cats, I only bought one collar and this has been enough to keep the fleas away. This is just a precaution because I have not seen any fleas since the first year.

Awesome awesome flea collar!!
I was skeptical of buying this product since I read so many awful reviews and looked at the pictures of many beloved pets with sores around the necks but I took a chance and bought the product. I tried the expensive flea drops and nothing worked! 6 months my kitty suffered from fleas and it was driving him crazy! When the flea collar arrived we immediately put it around Kyo's neck and it was awkward for him since he never wears collars and he was acting strange but after an hour or so he realized what it was, within 2 hours he stopped itching excessively. After two days of wearing the collar he stopped scratching. We checked his neck every day for the first two weeks just in case he was starting to get an allergic reaction. He was perfectly fine and he has been so calm and relaxed no more scratching! He's been wearing the collar for a month now and I definitely recommend it! Just check your cats's neck daily if you think he or she will be allergic. I'll update this review if anything changes or it stops working within 8 months. Oh I also like the reflective pieces that attach to the collars! Too bad my Kyo ended up breaking them lol Update: the collar stopped working at 5 months. It was worth it and I will be repurchasing the product. Update 2: Repurchased the collar and the fleas died within a couple hours. Extremely happy with the product.

this has definitely worked the best. Quite disappointed at the price jump though
These really do work very well. I am 6 months into my 2 cats and 1 dog wearing these and haven't seen a flea since. There are a lot of stray cats in my neighborhood, which means my yard is full of them, so I've been struggling to keep the fleas off of my pets. After trying several products, this has definitely worked the best. Quite disappointed at the price jump though. They were $34 when I originally purchased the first 2 in September, then I got a new cat in November and purchased one for $38, now they are $55 when it is time to reorder! It still is cheaper than the monthly pill I was using on my dog and the topical treatment on my cats before. I've included some pictures of my furry friends so you can see that the collars really aren't noticeable. They are a neutral gray and fit perfectly right under my dogs collar.

Review from a Vet Hospital
The little collar that could... Let me start out by saying we work at a veterinarian hospital. It has been a standing policy with everyone, including all of our veterinarians, that flea collars are only useful for chopping up and putting in a vacuum bag to kill fleas. They were just garbage, especially when compared to topical products. Keep in mind, we don't get paid to say anything nice about this product. Our concern is some of the misinformation in previous reviews. When the Seresto collar came to us and we were skeptical, obviously. At first, we didn't even want to shelve this product. We hadn't carried collars since... well, nobody could remember. After a good deal of talk, most of which involved convincing us that this was a new type of collar that was non-toxic, would cover the entire pet and not kill fleas Only at the neck, and could power through several months... We decided to give it a chance. This decision was in part because we had a new rescue kitty that had a very bad allergic reaction to topical flea treatments. These collars came along at just the right moment for us to try something new for her. Believe us when we tell you how surprised we were that they worked. They didn't just work, they worked Well and lasted incredibly long for a collar. No bad reactions were indicated. Even a few others on staff began using them. We began stocking them shortly after and have heard nothing but praise from staff and clients since then. Though we haven't seen any cases of chemical burns or hot spots directly related to these collars, such things can occur with any collar or flea medication. Not to mention numerous other factors. It's important to realize that your pets are as different from each other as humans are. They can have allergic reactions to any number of things. Even pets from the same litter can have very greatly in regards to allergies. One of the reasons we considered this collar at first was due to one of our rescue cats having a severe allergic reaction to topical flea treatments, something that the collar didn't continue. One of our dogs has allergies to grass and beef, among other things, that cause his ears and skin to turn bright pink and itch like crazy; while another of our dogs has such a severe reaction to turkey that her entire face begins to swell up. The point is animals can have bad reactions just like humans. Don't demonize a product that works well for so many pets because your own pet had a bad allergic reaction. Do you have any idea how many people are allergic to Aspirin or other medications or foods? To the point that it could quite literally cause such a severe reaction they could die? Yet we don't go out of our way to throw stones at those companies and their products. Be aware of your pets allergies. Visit your veterinarian and have an allergy test done for each pet, primarily if you see constant itching or bald spots. We can't tell you how many cases we've had of someone wanting a new flea product because their pet is Still scratching, when the reality is the pet is having a bad reaction to a new food or other product in the house. (Do you wash your pets bed using detergents? They can also have allergic reactions to soaps..) Our hearts go out to everyone with a pet that has had a bad reaction. Believe us, we see so much suffering, intentional and unintentional, in this line of work and it never fails to move us. We hope you find the product that works for you and that you and your pets live long and happy lives.

Best product
I have been battling fleas for quite a while, using top of the line spot on product, spraying the house, bombed the house. I finally bought these collars and bombed the house again. No fleas! 2 weeks in extremely satisfied.

Just wow! Love it!
Well I have 3 cats and since I knew ahead of time that every animal is different and some can have an allergic reaction and some would not I ordered only one collar to test on all 3 cats. One of my cats, Silas, is allergic to flea dirt and was scratching so much that he was no longer a long haired cat and there was no where to touch him without touching sores so I put the collar on him first. It took about 4 days before he had a reaction to the collar but he did have one and it was the chemical burn type seen in other reviews on their animals. I simply took it off and put it on another one of my cats, Aspen. Aspen has not had any type of reaction whatsoever to it in the 2 weeks he has worn it and he is completely clear of fleas. Last night Silas (whom we refer to as our British snob and we feel that if he was human he would definitely be royalty seeing how he looks at all other animals and most people as if they are peasants so very seldomly comes out of “hiding” (from behind our kitchen curtain if that is a hiding place?), will only drink water as it is running from the filtered tap, and has to eat fancy feast from a certain bowl or he won’t eat it) decided to grace me with his presence to demand some affection. As I was petting him I couldn’t help but notice he is completely clear of fleas and all previous sores!!!! Mind you he only wore it for 4 days before it was taken off but still clear and no sores!!! Awesome! I am now testing it on our female cat, Sylvannas. So far she has not had any type of reaction either but it has only been 2 days and she is already completely clear of fleas! Can’t wait to order for our dogs and take them off their monthly meds! Updated to let everyone know Sylvannas wore the collar for 2 weeks with no reaction to it either. Silas, Aspen, and Sylvannas are all still clear of fleas!
