I think Iams is a very good dog food; made by Eukanuba I beleive. I'm a veterinarian and It's what I always buy for my dogs. Good price and I can find it at Walmart and Amazon; don't have to go to one of those over priced pet stores. By the way, dogs like the small bites better than the large bites. So if your dog is small and chubby, don't buy the small bites and they won't eat so much.

Great Food!

I have tried my dog on all types of food in the year that I have had her, and this is the only food I have found that doesn't upset her stomach. Even the foods that are more than 50 dollars a bag upset her stomach and she wasn't gaining a healthy amount of weight on them, but now she is filled out, healthy, and loves her food. Wasn't a huge fan of corn being the second ingredient, but my dog loves it and it has helped her sensitive stomach, so I say it’s a good food. Great buy for the money! Since we added these soft probiotic chews Vitapet Probiotic Powder Blend For Dogs and Cats with 5 Billion CFU Per Serving we have not had any single stomach issue. We will continue to use this dog food and probiotic as they go well together.

Great bang for our buck

My dog is part and pitt and has really sensitive skin. It took awhile to find good food for her when I first got her, but I found grain free worked best. I have since dabbled in other types of food, including this one. Though not grain free, she has had 0 skin issues and no other problems. When she gets a cut (hiking trails with me or playing at the dog park - again, sensitive skin and also thin), I've found she heals pretty fast which I think it's indicative of her overall health. We've been using this food for 5 months and get a great bang for our buck. Just be aware of constant price changes - we have paid as little as $19 for a 30lb bag and up to $27. When the price on Amazon goes above that (as high as 40/45 I think), we typically order elsewhere. I've never seen a product on here fluctuate so much in price.

we are happy!

After trying my pit bulls on many foods I finally found one that seems to meet their needs. They are maintaining a healthy weight, have a shiny coat, seem to enjoy it yet do not over eat (we free feed) and I do not find them eating grass as with some other brands as well as not having horrible gas. This is finally one I feel is good for my fur babies. It also has an average price point so I do not feel like they are taking advantage of our bleeding hearts for our animals.

Good balance of healthy food & reasonable price

High quality, not full of grain or lots of fillers. My 90-lb, 6-1/2 year-old shelter-rescue German Shepherd likes it. I mix it with some other health-oriented low-grain wet & dry foods. Since she has a chronic eye disorder & is a breed prone to hip problems, I look for food with an emphasis on things that will help her stay healthy at a reasonable price.

It's a dog-eat Iams world

I'm happy because I didn't have to lug a 30 lb bag of dog food from store shelf, to cart, to car, to house. The dogs are happy as they seem to like the Iams a lot better than the variety of Purina brands I've tried. But above all, having heavy bulk dog food delivered to my front door: Priceless

My dog actually loved it. Finished whole bowl

MY DOG LOVED IT!!! she is a 5 year old German Shepherd Husky. She would eat Pedagree fine but would always need a little milk or home made soup added to her bowl. IAMS didn’t need anything added lol she smelled it first. Nibbled a bit and I’m guessing the flavor was great. Because the reaction after the taste was funny. She gobbled up EVERY SINGLE PIECE. After watching her enjoy the IAMS I subscribed to it to get it Monthly. My dog is pretty big. So 30LBS was perfect.

It's a game changer for dogs w skin issues

This dog food was a complete game changer for our two sweet rescues (when I say that, I mean that THEY rescued ME, not the other way around). Both our dogs suffered terribly from skin issues for years, to the point of being bald from their shoulders back EVERY summer. We knew it wasn't fleas(they were on monthly treatments from the vet) and,after treatment after treatment for their skin, we were told to change their food. We choose Iams because of the brand's reputation and price point. After ONE month of them eating it, BOTH of them had stopped itching and biting their fur and it had begun to grow back! Now, a year later, they have beautiful, healthy skin and coats! The biggest test was when the weather started to warm up and it was the first summer neither of them chewed themselves bald! Their coats were, and still are, beautiful and we owe it all to Iams! I suggest this food to anyone whose dog has a skin condition, because it changed the lives of our doggies forever!

Re: convenience, emergency

We have used this dog food for years. Both our labs attack their bowl after given the signal to eat. They seem to love it. (Though my dogs also like to chew cardboard, so who knows!) Having this automatically ordered from Amazon is a great convenience. No more last minute runs to grocery for bag of dog food! Also, I have learned from other pet advocates to always keep extra bag on hand for emergencies such as flooding, or local disasters. Sometimes pets are thought of last, and it's one less thing to worry about.

My 4 baby dawns 7,5 & two 3 year olds... Lab, Catahoula and 2 Lab mixes... All rescued 😊💗💗💗💙 Love Iams 💙 They are all over 50 pounds. I never feed them anything but Iams or Science diet! They are healthy and not overweight.
