• Be it by paddleboat or speedboat, your Sims can now leave port to discover new lands and explore like never before, from inter-island travel to discovering their own uncharted island
  • Create a family-friendly resort of waterslides and buffet tables, a romantic retreat dotted with minimalist cottages, or a singles resort featuring multiple pool bars where Sims can mingle and flirt. Choose and fine-tune your amenities, set your price
  • See what surprises await under the sea as your Sims build their skills in snorkeling/scuba diving. Your Sims may find them on the shore of a new island or discover sunken or buried treasure
  • New stilted foundations give your Sims the best of both worlds, a home that's partially on the water and partially on land. Build a resort, create travelling houseboats, and customize your very own island paradise for your Sims
  • Requires The Sims 3 to play

My daughter loves all the Sims 3 games. I find these games good learning activity for the kids, because they are not mindless responses, but just an on-going building of unpredictable worlds. The only thing I would complain, is that the games are resource hogs, quirky in that they crash on some approved computer platforms, and if you forget they internet password and e-mail (not unlikely with teenage girls) then they won't allow to make any changes, reset, or start a new one of the interaction with the internet community, such as "cheat codes" etc....

Finally EA has made an expansion pack, that i truly love (since Generations and Pets) and will never get bored with, this EP has so much to do in it and it is so much fun. My rich Sims can truly live the "Life Styles Of The Rich and Famous", You can own more than one home (I waited so long for this) and your Sims can live on house boats, swim, snorkel, become a life guard (new Job added) meet mermaids, live on your own island, own/run a resort, travel Island by Island on houseboat, speedboat, paddle boat, water cycle mobile, wind surf, you can still drive cars on land, deep sea diving, treasure hunt while under water, get attacked by sharks, it is also possible to be attacked by a Kracken/octapuss and more stuff to do. It is a series of Islands spread out in the tropics (of course) and yes you can change the weather to be always "summertime", you can buy house boats already build (1 to 3 bedroom) or build your own on a blank barge, it`s up to you. There are also hidden Islands that you can find (hidden by Fog) and other Islands you can explore/discover. There is also an "Island Survival" downloadable you can get and pretend you are "Tom Hanks" stranded on an Island. (smile) This EP is truly a dream come true and you will fall in love with The Sims3, all over again and become even more addicted than ever. I really and truly recommend this add-on to "The Sims3" Thanks

I love this game, it provides non-stop fun in Isla Paradiso!! You can create, design, and manage your own resort, meet a mermaid, be a lifeguard, deep sea diver, and explore underwater caves, but watch out for the sharks!! This game is epic, and can be enjoyed by Simmer's for endless hours. You will not get board with all the different adventures you can play and see. You can even design your own Island paradise home or resort with cute, tropical motif designs, and accessories to give you that Island feeling. So what are you waiting for? Escape to your Island Paradise today and become friends with some mermaids, become a 5 star resort owner, etc., the choices are endless and you will have fun playing all of them.

This is my favorite expansion pack because it gives me an option to live life on the water front or spend it managing resorts and deep sea exploration plus more. If you love the water, give your Sims 3 a fresh experience of life on the open seas. I love the houseboats. So far the only thing that i find wrong with it is that (depending upon how much Custom Content) you have installed in the game, it will take some time to load. Not a real big issue but the game camera is in need of great improvements when you are on the water, (in my opinion). Would I recommend it for you? Yes, because if you are a serious Sim player then this expansion is worth it at the current price. I wouldn't recommend it if it was much higher in price. Wait for a sale price.

Resorts, sharks, mermaids, boats what else could you want right? This pack adds all sorts of island, tropical, vacationy type things! Biggest things dive spots where you hunt for treasure maybe get eaten by a shark. Boats for transportation, house boats are a thing now too. The ability to build and own a resort. Become a mermaid,or a life guard. Lots of new clothing, hair, objects.Best news for me in this pack, lantanas in the flower selection.Great pack stuffed with good things! Only bad thing it might be laggy on some machines due to all the water.

I am loving the futuristic and geeky aspects to this expansion pack for The Sims 3! I want to stay in Oasis Landing, so I may even put down a school from one of the other towns or even the school from Lunar Lakes to fit the theme a little better. Same for any of the other rabbit holes that this world lacks but there is PLENTY of space to place whatever you want or need and it's nice and flat, much like the University world so that is very much appreciated!!! I'd recommend it to anyone!! :)

This is the best EP that EA has released in a long time. The mermaids are so cool and love the houseboats. The only setback to the new world is that it really isn't a great place for a family with pets, particularly horses; but you can always play those families in other worlds. The resorts are a bit reminiscent of Open For Business, in the sense you own a place that makes money, but it is not that challenging to create a 5-star resort.

I was super excited bc I love the sims 3 but it was very slow! Not your fault it was EAs fault bc they made the town to big so it lags!

I have truly Enjoyed Playing this game. Beautiful Beeches views of water at sunset & dawn that are heavenly! So many choices for your SIM to Enjoy! Beautiful homes to choose from, or build. Business 's to purchase, or join. Every kind of water sport to Enjoy. Perhaps your Sims will just take an extended vacation here, Perfect Place for it. I have seen some posts regarding issues, game loaded no problems, when I have made many changes I have found saving it and going back to the game. I am guessing I have too many games loaded, or etc. How ever for the most part I would Highly Recommend purchasing Island Paradise, why I gave it 5 stars. Go purchase & enjoy!

This definitely added a new interesting element for me. Up until I bought this, I only played in Sunset Valley. There are new things to do to the point where the you were getting bored with the game this will make you interested again. I've enjoyed it. I like how you can own a resort and literally me the manager. You have so much control. Not crazy so far about the houses in this town though. I like that you can have a boathouse. It doesn't really work well with all the season, especially winter, it being an island and all and especially if your sim is a lifeguard like mine. She doesn't have as much to time to guard lives which sort of puts a damper on her lifetime wish. You may want to deactivate some weather for this one.
