Love them, this is my second pair for the office
I bought a pair a few months ago because I work online almost all day with a large monitor at work, and two monitors in my home office. But I bought a second pair so I can just keep them by the computer and home and work so I never forget them. I have also been using my pair at home any time I watch TV in the evening, to block the blue light because research shows this messes up your Circadian rhythm and can make it both harder to get to sleep and if you do sleep it's not as good. The color on the television looks a bit weird at first but you get used to it very quickly. I like the look of these, see pic. The only downside is a small one, I find they are kind of hard to clean, so I have an eyeglass cleaner kit by both my workstations so that I can keep them clean. With only a t-shirt etc. they don't get clean, they need the cleaning solution. Otherwise, these glasses are great, and I literally wear them any time I used the computer anymore and find that I have way less eye strain, and feel better after long periods of time on the computer. It's funny because I didn't notice a problem before, but now that I have had these I realize how much better I feel after a long stint on the computer than I did before.

Love the glasses!
These ones are a lifesaver for my desk job. I'm a digital illustrator and, usually, I don't need computer glasses for work. However, with my new job, where I have to constantly read a variety of instructions, styleguides and forms, these glasses have become a great help. Small fonts on bright screens have been making me have headaches and dry eyes by the end of the day. Not anymore! What really surprised me is that I bought same glasses for my husband two years ago. The quality of the current ones has become so much better! His were great, but these ones are above all expectations.

A good buy for weary eyes
I was somewhat skeptical of these, and their benefit. I have a desk job that requires me to look at a computer screen for 8-9 hours per day, and thought that these might help the eye strain that is inevitable with staring at a monitor all day. I received the glasses in a timely fashion. The construction and build seems to be high quality, with no flimsy or cheap materials used. The glasses also come with a nice silkish carrying case that does a good job of protecting the lenses. The glasses themselves are fantastic at cutting out blue light from the computer. I was surprised at what a difference this made. I used to have very tired eyes at the end of every day with blurred vision. No more. I also appreciate the slight magnification these add, and have realized that they are a game changer. The only inconvenience of these glasses is that I only have one pair. I often take them home from the office so that I can use them at home as well.

I will confirm that they do get dirty quickly. I don't really understand why
I got these yesterday and spent 4 hours gaming with them right after that. First, I will confirm that they do get dirty quickly. I don't really understand why, but there was lint all over them after my first session. You should plan to get a micro-fiber cloth to keep around. It's hard to write an unbiased review of something like this. Eye strain is a subjective experience and I did my best to eliminate the placebo of a new gizmo from my assessment but in the end we are all victims of psychology. After my 4 hour gaming session, my eyes felt great. They did not get as dry, were not red, and I didn't have that tension behind my eyes. After taking them off, I watched videos for about 15 minutes and I just felt like my monitor was way too bright and there was too much going on. The glasses make watching your screen feel much more relaxed. After using them, I now want to get a pair for my work, for when I plan on doing long sessions in front of my computer.

Super fun and functional computing glasses :-)
I had some hand-me-down Gunnars in the past, but they were more military-looking with sleek lines and metal frames. They didn't suit my personality at all and I wasn't too sad when I lost them during a move. However, I just took up work on a new game team and my shift is graveyard. I was finding the hours, light differences and the typical 8 hours working at a computer tacked on to my personal computer use to be making my eyes red, itchy, bleary and tired. And so, to Amazon I went, to search for some new computing glasses. These Gunnar glasses with retro nerdframes stood out to me immediately. When I saw they came in *fun colors* I was more determined to make these my pair. Although there are a number of complaints about durability, I know I can be careful with my peripheral goodies so-- I decided to go for it. I've only had them a few days, but here are my impressions: 1. I love the color! I got Ink, which I felt was fun enough to stand out but neutral enough to go with lots of other colors. It is just as expected, being just a wee bit more vibrant against my pasty nerd skin and bright hair. 2. The texture. The frames themselves have a soft rubbery coating that feels awesome to the touch and prevents the glasses from sliding down my nose. 3. The real reason we buy them: the glare reduction. It's fantastic! I can't say that as you wear them you think things look that different, or the colors look dramatically less blue, but the moment you take the glasses off - while facing any computer screen - you can't help but notice that they were really working to reduce glare. When you take off the glasses you see the harsh blue light and how much they were blocking. It's not unlike the difference between being outdoors with polarized lenses that aren't dark, mostly just polarized and very lightly tinted/mirrored, and then popping them off for a moment to feel the full blaring light of day. Yes, it feels that dramatic. Especially when you use a computer in low-light settings and the monitor feels a bit like your own tiny, rectangular blue sun. :-) 4. Quality-- I can't speak for long term durability, but I will update this review immediately if I experience issues. Other than that these glasses have a feel similar to my neon wayfarer Oakleys, which I got in New York about four years ago. When I first held those glasses I thought they felt cheap compared to the Ray-Bans, but the salesperson explained how they were collapsible and flexible, etc. I got used to them and found I prefer their lightness. I have yet to have those shades pop apart on me so my hope is these will stand up fine, despite being light weight. 5. Smudging-- Others complain of smudging but I have had zero issues. Maybe I am fastidious? I don't know. I have really oily skin and leave blatant prints on everything I touch but... if I don't touch the lenses they don't get smudged. I gently remove them from my face by gripping the arms and then I gently place them in their case or on my XL desk-length mousepad. No issues. When I do have to clean them - to remove dust - my old Sunglasses Hut spray and wipe works fine. Some things to note: I have an average-sized female head. These fit me perfectly. They do not squeeze near my ears like some glasses can. Anyone with a larger or wider head might be saddened by the fit, which would make the glasses painful to wear for long sessions, and could well be the cause of frame stress which could cause breakage that others have experienced. Just a theory. And looking at the hinge and arm construction - these don't look at all adjustable. Unless you can try them on in person - or are confident you have a head size that is "average female" or smaller - you may want to look for a different style. Also, I bought the nice Gunnar case at the same time as the glasses (Gunnar Optiks GAI-030102 Gunnar Eyewear Case, Black). It fits width-wise, but the glasses are too deep and for this reason the case will not fully close. I considered returning it but since it was so inexpensive here, and I am not sure I would get the full refund since the item is not faulty, I just kept it and leave it on my desk as a place to safely nest the glasses when I go AFK. UPDATE 03/28/2016: I am not sure why this would be the case, except perhaps that the glasses could be less stiff and can now fold flatter? But the upshot is, last night I went to put my glasses in the case, same as always, and this time it just snapped shut as though it had always been able to do so. Previously the glasses had held it open and a gentle pressing did not cause the case to magnetize closed so - in order to avoid breakage of the glasses - just let the case sit ~1/4" open on my desk with the glasses in it for a little protection, being better than none. Oh, and side note, you may not want to wear these while driving at night. I wore them out inadvertently and found that the blue-glare reduction caused some odd diffusion of the lights of oncoming vehicles. The color wasn't bad, in fact it reduced the glare same as from a screen, but the diffusion of the light made bigger fuzzy blind spots around oncoming traffic in darker places on the road. Just a word of caution. :-) So, to sum it up: I love these. They are fun. They are comfortable. They really, really cut computing glare and so far they haven't given me a stitch of quality issues. Again, if they do I will update here ASAP. Hope this review helped and hope these glasses help your eyes, too! Best of luck!

Should have bought these a long time ago
I always struggled with the lights at work and a lot of glare on my computer screen because my back sits to a window. Tried several brands of glasses and these by far were the best. When I think back to all the hassle I went through trying to fight this battle of dealing with the lights, monitor glare and the headaches I would constantly get from it all, I just wish i got these a lot sooner. These seriously changed my life at work with no longer needing to deal with the headaches while staring at my monitor for 8 hours everyday.

Not a placebo effect
I noticed a difference in eyestrain when I bought these 3 months ago, but I was weary that I was experiencing a placebo effect. Today was first day not wearing them at work (I forgot them at home) and I can now say with certainty that these work. Right now my eyes feel dried up and strained. It hurts to keep them open and focused on my screen. I need my computer glasses. Just an FYI, I installed f.lux (a computer program that some people say does the same thing as computer glasses) first this this morning, and it's no substitute for computer glasses. My eyes are very strained. People who think they are expensive must not have purchased eyeglasses in the past, or even sunglasses for that matter. $50-60 isn't expensive for the quality. I do agree with people who say it feels like the lenses might pop out, but so far this has never been an issue. The main thing I notice about these frames is that they are very comfortable and study feeling. It is annoying how the lenses fog up and smudge easily, but I'm not going to dock this product because I assume this is a consequence of the humidity they create around your eyes. Since you're only expected to use these while seated in front of your computer, it's convenient to keep a microfiber cloth on your desk. My brother decided to buy these after trying mine, but while shopping found a cheaper alternative brand (Gamma Ray). He asked what I think of those. I told him he'd probably be happy with either, but my recommendation was for the Gunnar's because of the comfort. I can't stress how comfortable these are. I enjoy wearing them, and even more so because of the reduced eye-strain. This is for sure a 5-star product.

My eyes felt relief immediately and my fatigue is minimal after 10-12 hours
These glasses only have one Con and that is the tightness just behind my ear. I was able to carefully offset this by moving the glasses slightly forward or back. Over a couple of days the glasses adjusted to my head. I was not aware I needed these until I saw them on SharkTank. I am in front of a computer 10-12 hours a day. My eyes felt relief immediately and my fatigue is minimal. One unexpected effect is related to my PTSD and I only relate this as to affect I have. The first day of use was a partly cloudy day. At one point I walked downstairs and then noticed I had these glasses on. I took them off and the natural light was not as bright. I immediately felt (for me) a sadness. I put the glasses back on and there was relief. I highly recommend these for while you are looking at any electronic as I watched TV and noticed a difference. As to my PTSD effect, that could be only me, but I am grateful for any relief.

These helped me get back to work faster
I had a relatively major concussion that gave me some pretty aggressive post-concussive symptoms, and one of the greatest triggers for my symptoms were fluorescent lights and screens. Unfortunately these did NOTHING to help with fluorescent lighting; however, they did wonders when working with a bright LED/LCD screen. I still dimmed my screen a bit, applied blue light filters, and even turned off one of my monitors for my dual monitor setup, but these added an additional layer of protection that I loved. I also love that it is just slightly magnified. I don't know if it would be considered 1.3x even, but it is noticeable, and it seems that when I am reading font on a computer, it's just a little bit clearer. I also play games, and I use these when I do that, but frankly -- I think the best use of these glasses is when looking at a white screen and text.

They're Worth It!
I wanted Gunnar Optiks because I spend 8 hrs + at a computer for work, and then go home to game. Changing my screen options and contrast colors were just giving me the results I wanted. After comparing prices, reviews, and product descriptions of other glasses, I chose these over products like them simply because of the positive reviews as well as the name brand. I have a few friends who've bought Gunnar Optiks products and they adamantly recommend them. I officially love them too! These glasses have not only reduced my eye strain from computer work, but I've noticed that I sleep so much better after I wear them. Everybody at my work loves them and agrees that they're a huge help to the eyes. Plus, they look cool. I'm not a glasses type person. I'm extremely picky when I buy sunglasses, and I love the way these look on my face. Product Description: These Gunnar Optiks Intercept glasses came in a white, cloth-type bag for cleaning and storing purposes. The bag got dirty within the first day of use, so be mindful of where you put it. My dog decided to eat the bag anyway, so I pitched it and bought a simple glasses-cleaning cloth. These plastic rim glasses have a yellow tint with a slight magnification that is noticeable when you first put them on. The lenses of the glasses are extremely easy to smudge, however they are pretty scratch resistant (Knock On Wood!). I have dropped these glasses on multiple surfaces like concrete, wood, and carpet. I have also accidentally left them in my car in 80 degree weather. So far, so good. These glasses are pretty tough. The lenses are big enough to wear over smaller, square wire-frames so if you have glasses for vision you can still wear these over them. My boyfriend does so when he steals these to wear while playing xbox. A good buy for the price I paid! Conclusion: Definitely worth the money.
