Great fun for the little one!
I bought this for my daughter's first birthday because she loves to beat on pots and pans and thought that she would love this. This is by far her favorite toy. She likes banging on it, especially after I do it once or twice to start her off. The drum sticks are the perfect size for her little hands (though as a result they can be a little tough to keep track of). The clapper is useless to her but she enjoys it when I do it for her. Overall a great toy that has provided hours of fun thus far.

just perfect for a young toddler
just perfect for a young toddler, my granddaughter just turned too, and she really enjoys it, and enjoys playing with it and her 6 year old sister helping.... very well made...and all in one..can be slid under the crib skirt is space is an issue... but the sounds are entertaining and keeps her attention... for quite awhile... Like it...very much.. worth the money.

Great toy
My baby loves this toy. At first he loved chewing on the sticks and clapped mostly but has now started to beat on the drum with the stick and the cymbal. He still, however, likes to turn it over and play with the legs on the bottom and pull on the one that comes in and out. He probably is still a little too little for this but with watching me hit the drum and move the clapper he has been able to do the same. I hope he will co Tunis to play with it.

High quality, durable, a great kids toy!
This toy is high quality, and definitely puts up with a lot of abuse from my kids. I got it for them for Christmas, so we've had it about 4 months. The drum is made of some very durable plastic-my 1 and 4 year old beat on it constantly, and it has held up and not even really gotten any dings in it. The cymbal is bright and cheery (sometimes it's a little too bright-it's loud, and hurts my ears!). The xylophone has great tones, and is made of high quality metal. It can handle anything the kids put it through, which is a lot. The wood block/washboard sounds great. The wood they use on this is excellent-the drum sticks, noisemaker, and the whole set up are very durable, and well put together. If you want your kids to be able to make a lot of noise, and you don't want something that will break easily, I highly recommend it. It is awesome!

Great product!
Bought this for my 14 month old twins even though it says for children older. They LOVE it! It’s reakky well made and so far has held up well to the constant beating on it! Definitely a win for us!

Wonderful Musical Fun!
We purchased this, after looking and looking for something fun, musical, and yet compact for our granddaughter . She absolutely loves it! One of her favorited when at 'Gigi and Gee's). It's not so loud that you want to hide in the closet and there are so many different sounds in one compact place! We strive to find wooden toys for her and this is made very well, no sharp edges, bright colors..inviting hours of play for her!

Great variety of musical fun in one durable, compact toy. Toddlers love it!
Highlights... -Aesthetically Pleasing -Compact -Colorful -Inspires Creativity -Good drum sounds -Nice feature of having the durable elastic wooden fold out leg -Variety of musical/noise making options -Not annoying (This is a matter of opinion. A toddler can easily try to disprove this if they get a little crazy.) Drawbacks -Poor musical sounds in the xylophone -Fold out wooden leg may fold back in while playing with it. (The toy still functions fine that way, but I like to stand it up) Not a big deal whatsoever. -Drumsticks may get lost...not really a way around that...good luck! And now, if you want an in depth review...here ya go: I purchased this toy for son's first birthday. My baby loves music, and I can already tell he has an ear for music. His favorite past time is rummaging through the pots and pans and banging a spoon on them. While I appreciate his creativity, I wanted to give him a better musical outlet ;) I searched around on Amazon and purchased this toy because it offered a variety of musical options all in one little table. My baby took to it immediately and lit up with a smile as he played with it. He's had it for a month now and he plays with it every day. Now, this is my second child so I have bins and bins full of toys to choose from. It seems that 99% don't ever get played with and my kids would rather play with a cardboard box. Fortunately, this toy has proven to be a favorite that actually gets used. Both my sons, ages one and 3 1/2, play with this toy regularly. I love wooden toys and this is my first Hape brand item I've purchased. Really I just prefer them to all those plastic, battery operated toys that make insistent noise and go off all by themselves (so creepy). Wooden toys like this one are classic and inspire creativity for little ones. I'm impressed with the durability and aesthetically pleasing design. The colors are bright, the wood still looks new, the paint doesn't peel (I've had this issue with some other wooden toys). My favorite part of this toy is definitely the drum and cymbal. The drum actually has a good sound and it's fun to pound on. I know...I was hogging this toy the other day until my kids reminded me it's meant for them. There's a little wooden bar that you can drag the drum sticks across to make noise with, a wooden clapper (also good quality) and a xylophone. The xylophone doesn't offer very clear musical sounds but that's okay with me. It still makes pingy sounds and that makes my baby happy. One feature I love about this music table is the little legs on it. The leg in the back can unfold into a larger leg which makes the table stand up higher in the back. This makes it sit perfectly for a little one to sit and play and even improves the drum sounds. The drum sticks mine came with look a little different than the ones in the photo. They don't have the little mallet type ball on the end, rather they come to a rounded point. They have nice, colorful designs on them which helps me find them when my baby hides them places (like the hamper...his favorite hiding place for them). The only removable parts on this toy are the drum sticks and clapper so you don't need to worry about losing a bunch of pieces. The table itself is fairly small, which I think is nice because it's large enough to keep my baby's attention but small enough that it takes up little space. I highly recommend this toy for babies through preschool aged children. I even enjoy playing with this toy alongside my baby and have had a lot of fun making music with him. He's a pro at the drums while I add some pizzazz with the clapper ;) It really makes me happy to see my baby light up with pride while he plays with this toy. And I have to say, I'm impressed with his musical abilities already :) All in all, I think this toy is a great option, especially if you prefer wooden toys like I do!

My son loves it and that's all that matters.
I was surprised to see that on the box it says 24+ months on it. We bought this for my son's 1st birthday and he LOVES it. It is one of his favorite toys. He loves to bang on the drum and on the cymbal. Not a fan of the xylophone or the guiro yet, but this is a toy that he will be able to play with and enjoy for a long time. And I do agree with other reviewers that the xylophone is crap, but I have yet to find a kid's toy with an xylophone that works well. If anyone knows of one, let me know.

Love this!
Absolutely 100% my 10 month old daughter’s favorite toy! I gave it to her at 8 months and she took to it right away. It’s study, cute and has a variety of things to play so she doesn’t get bored. My friend’s slightly younger kid DID face-plant directly on to the bell, which caused some crying but no permanent damage! So I’d recommend for younger babies who are able to sit without assistance or falling.
