I'm not really sure why this gets such bad reviews. Yes I'm sure a few people may have gotten some DOA units, but luckily I wasn't one of those. 1st and foremost, this is not a top of the line cutter, let's be realistic it's $300. That being said, please understand that this cutter is not going to be able to cut out the most intricate of detailed decals. It surpassed my expectations however, and am very pleased. 2nd: The unit is very large, this is not for the hobbyist. Most decals can be printed on a smaller 15" machine. This unit is overkill for me also, but I had the room to spare, and I wanted to be able to cut larger vinyl for vehicle signage. 3rd: YouTube/Google are your friends when it comes to this cutter. In the days I was waiting to receive it, I watched countless videos and read up on different forums. When it came in, I had educated myself enough that I had it assembled and made my 1st decal within 30 minutes, and after a couple of hours I had to make myself stop because I was putting decals on EVERYTHING in my house. I've seen a lot of bad reviews about the cutting software that comes with it. Again, YouTube is your friend here, and I didn't find the software bad at all. I use Paint.net to create my graphics, then I just use the "Trace Image" button in SCAL, and it works perfectly. I was surprised by the amount of vinyl they give you with this package. I know it states the amount, but in my head I wasn't thinking it was going to be that much. In my opinion this is a great value. Obviously I have not had the machine that long, but again it has already surpassed my expectations. I will update this review if there are problems down the line.

This machine is totally worth every penny I bought it just to play around with end up doing my car and my wife's car

Arrived slightly ahead of time with no shipping damage. Clear instructions and all hardware plus the promised starter supplies were in the box. This comes with everything you need to get started except a computer. I did not review all of the documentation because I am able to configure and run CNC machine tools and have also built my own 3d printers and other things. If you're a beginner with this sort of tooling, better have a machine savvy buddy available to help you get going. The pros: - This thing is big, like my old D-size H.P. pen plotter. It can also handle pretty small pieces of label stock, due to the 3 movable pinch rollers. - It is nice and fast. - It came with three cutter styles in a small case which is marked clearly with depth setting examples and also states which style to use for what kind of job. It also came with a test pen holder for doing check plots, including a fresh ball point pen insert, ready to go. - Both USB and serial cables are provided. - The license key for the pro version of the cutting software was included and I was able to download, install and activate it without any issues. - For a fellow like myself, this machine was a snap to get configured. One casual evening of effort to get a perfect cut using the included materials. The only con I found was that the driver software is not signed. For windows versions after 7, this means you need to jump through hoop[s to get the drivers installed. I didn't take off a star for this, because the driver appears to be a clean design. Giving this 5 stars, because it's a nice, clean design with no out of box failures and everything works exactly as advertised. I have no idea how it would hold up to high volume, but I don't cut vinyl signs for a living so I'm not worried.

I have used large industrial cutters, engravers, lasers, 3d printers and other CNC machines in the past. So I have a rather strong background in operating machines of this nature. That being said, I purchased this MH series cutter for hobby work at home, as an entry level cutter, I can't say enough about it, the price is right, and I was truly surprised with the ease of setup, and how quickly I was up and operational. Straight out of the box, the cutter base was easy to assemble (took about 20 minutes altogether and within 30 minutes I had cut my first set of stickers). The only issue I had during assembly was that the instructions were a little vague, so make sure you look up USCutter's video on youtube or on their website. Their video shows how to put the cutter together, ground it, hook it up to your computer, install the software and sets you up for your first cut. The software is definitely entry level as well, but is easy to navigate. While I use Adobe Illustrator and Rhino 3d to create my vector images, they import into the provided software with no issues. The only con I have with this purchase, is that USCutter requires you to keep the original box the cutter was shipped in, or your warranty is void. I have a small shop and it would be nice to be able to dispose of the box, but I understand that it is the best way to ship it back for servicing should you have any issues. All in all, great product, great price, and when purchasing as a kit, there is plenty of material for you to get started.

I wouldn't trade this baby for nothing... Quality is written all over this machine. It is a life savior. I use this for my Graphic design Business... Cut Vinyl, Cut T Shirt Designs, Draw School Projects, Layout Posters... you name it... Oh and I have't changed my blade as yet,, still have the extras that came with it. Started using this around April 2016, blade still cutting clean.

I did a lot of research before I pulled the trigger on this cutter. The items arrived on time, and looked great. The only complaint was putting together the stand, I had to find a youtube video to help me. One complaint about the design of the cutter. The communication ports and the power plug are on opposite sides to most this is nothing but the way my work area is set up makes it a lil awkward.setting up the software and learning it took 30 minutes, I cut my first decal/sticker in less than one hour from the cutter hitting my front door. A lot of folks call this cutter junk, cheap, not for a real business. This cutter has cut everything I have thrown at it and has already paid for it's self in less than a month. If you are on the fence about buying this cutter go head and do it. As of now I highly recommend it. Is it loud? on a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 4-5 you can hear it but its not so loud where someone in the same room could not enjoy a tv show. I think when I do get another one I will get one with an optical eye. I have not needed it yet but I see where it could be useful

This cutter has been a fun adventure into vinyl cutting. The kit came with just about everything I needed to start making decals and such. I've even made custom coffee mugs with the vinyl, too. The only other thing I had to get was a cutting mat. The software it came with does an excellent job creating vectors and outlines for the cutter. I've not had any problems with it. And that's saying something, since I installed it on my Windows XP computer that I've had since 2002!

I run a window tinting and vinyl application business and purchased this to get started. I have used it for several large jobs now and am more than satisfied! The machine is most certainly entry-level and requires some special treatment, but it has not let me down yet. I have made back my money three-fold since buying it. It was easy to set up on my laptop (Windows 10) and I had my first few decals within minutes. The package of vinyl and transfer tape/tools was nice to get started with. I have been using mainly Oracal vinyls since this purchase, but it has never had an issue with the various samples from other suppliers that I have used. The bundled software does the job, but I don't find it super useful during the design stage. I use inkscape for most of my design work, then import it into the included software. This machine, as configured, requires some babysitting when running very large graphics, but this is pretty typical when doing large jobs. I am constantly impressed by its accuracy, from 2"x2" decals all the way up to some 8' long things i've cut. I could see outgrowing this machine eventually, but for me and for most beginners, this will just continue to make money.

This cutter is our first venture in the vinyl world. We got it to promote our business. We have gotten every penny's worth of use out if it. First we just played, making all kinds of vinyl decals for just about everything in the house. Then we made a huge business sign, 8ft x 6ft. We have since created dozens of signs and promotional items for our business. We also use it with siser easyweed vinyl for our business t-shirts (and other recreatioonal tshirts). Vinylmaster software takes a little instruction to get proficient, but there are plenty of educational videos on the internet. Definitely recommend.

I absolutely love this cutter! I don't really care for the basic cutting program that comes with you. You have to upgrade to a better program to get more features. Other than that, this was one of the best purchases I could have made. I had a few issues when I first started out due to a screw but I contacted the seller and they were and are very helpful. I've been able to talk to them on the phone and thru chat. I've created so many products with this cutter. I would recommend it to anyone. I think this is definitely the way to go especially if you plan to operate a business.
