I had used Living Language's NOOK tablet app, which opened my eyes to just how helpful computer-based language learning could be. I also tried Rosetta's app. As I researched available systems, I discovered Rocket Languages Chinese (Mandarin). After only a few weeks' study, using Rocket Chinese, I was able to greet,and exchange pleasantries with ,Dr Paul Lam,in his native Mandarin! Very effective learning tools

I have just returned from my first-ever trip to China. For 6 months prior to my trip, the Rocket Chinese course helped me learn basic conversational skills that resulted in many compliments from tour guides, drivers, flight attendants, hotel personnel and other native speakers. Fun and engaging; it's surprising how much you pick up, and how quickly!

Couldn't be happier with the Chinese course I recently bought. Only got it a few days ago, but I've sunk hours and hours into it... it's surprisingly engaging and I'm normally not so studious. Fully intend to follow this to the end and hopefully build a solid foundation in Mandarin, and from what I've seen so far Rocket Chinese gives me most of what I'll need to do that.

Makes learning grammar easier!

Since I have been writing Chinese as Calligraphy for a few years, I have some familiarity, but when going to China, I am stuck. They talk too fast. So I chose Rocket Chinese because it seemed to fit where I am. I could never have gone to a sit down class of Mandarin—no extra time or interest. I need it quicker and at my own pace. Learning grammar with this is much easier, even though I need to also study grammar, since I translate what I write. Xie xie!
