These are so beautiful in design, and clever in conception -- no wet ring on the counter or sweaty glass and wet hands with ice water, no burned fingers reaching for hot coffee cup. I just got them, and I know they are fragile, but I've had the handle mugs for a few years with no breakage. I like these, without handles, because they take up less shelf space. There are many other brands of double-walled glasses now; I haven't tried them so I can't say if Bodum is better. It may be be the only brand with the plug on the bottom, not sure.

This set is my 3rd purchase of these products over the past 10 years (or so). The current generation is awesome and really benefits from gradual design improvements over time. Too many products start out great, then get cheaper and more flimsy over time. This is NOT the case with these. My first set did eventually all break, but the second batch are totally intact. I just needed a few more. Great size, a little larger than a juice glass, about the right size for wine or coffee. Very sturdy and dishwasher safe.

In the 1st and 2nd picture I poured water in th Bodum glass and then heated it for 1 minute in microwave. The second picture shows the heated water still in Bodum glass with the temperature now at 187 degrees Farenheight. This was to prove if the glass could be heated in microwave with water in it and not crack under stress Answer - yes. Internal temp of water 187 degrees F. Temperature of glass exterior when handled was warm but not hot like a traditional mug. In 3rd and 4th picture, I instead heated water in a standard porcelain mug also for 1 minute in microwave to 187 degrees Farenheight, then poured it into the Bodum glass, which was room temperature. Bodum glass accepted the hot water, did not crack and exterior was cool to the touch. Overall excellent, has a neat silicone vent on bottom of cup, but remember it is glass so wash gently. Only cons, I would have bought larger size for more coffee!

I’m really liking these glasses. The 12 oz size is perfect for coffee, tea, wine, or water (I’m glad I didn’t go smaller or bigger). This size is just right. At first I was afraid they seemed too lightweight, but they’re just right and they keep my drinks hot or cold. They are also easy to clean and hold up well whether hand washed or put in the dishwasher. They’re my new go-to glasses.

The pair of 2.5 ounce glasses is the perfect size for a double shot of espresso set side-by-side. I've found after using them every day for more than a month that they are very durable if handled correctly - and by "correctly" I mean that they are not stacked in the dishwasher, not left in the sink to clank against dishes, pots, pans and other glasses, but are always rinsed/washed directly after use and dried immediately. If this is something that you will find to be too much trouble, do yourself a favor and use standard shot glasses because these won't make you happy. If you have no problem with what I've said thus far, you're gonna love these. They are not only beautiful on or next to your machine, but are great at preserving the heat of your pulled shot - the only thing I could possibly whine about is that when you pour your shot the crema covers the inside of your Pavina shot glass so keep a mini-bladed scraper if you want it in your cup (which happens with all shot glasses, but there's something about the spherical interior of the cup that holds on to more of the crema). Anyway, love these glasses and would buy them again no doubt.

I always liked Bodum double-walled glasses. However, for some reason, these look a little bit sturdier than what I used to have. I broke two Bodum glasses. Overall, they are more fragile than regular glass cups. However, I have been drinking tea and coffee with these a lot; I forgot how hot a regular glass cup could be until I recently tried one again. These glasses are effective blocking the heat from reaching the surface to the point it burns your fingers. Also, I have seen a different brand after I broke my Bodum glass cup and realized that it was not as much quality as the Bodum ones. Bodum glasses also look more clear and good-looking. As long as you are carefully handling them, they can go for years without any problem. Just not drop it.

These glasses work wonders for keeping drinks cold. Ran a side-by side test with my favorite cocktail in the usual martini style glass and this glass. About halfway through the drink in the martini glass it was cold bordering cool. The drink in the Bodum was still ice cold. By the time the drink in the martini glass was finished it was room temp, where the drink in the Bodum was still very cold. The smaller format works great for shorter cocktails and chilled shots from the freezer. The glasses are really lightweight and that takes a little getting used-to, especially, if like me, you like drink-ware that has a heft to it. They are supposed to be dish-washer safe, but I do them by hand since I don't run the washer that often and only have a couple glasses. I'll be buying more at some point in the near future.

These are gorgeous glasses for hot (or cold) beverages. The double-wall construction will keep the hot beverages hot and will keep cold beverages from condensing so much on a humid day. They feel good in the hand -- not too light, and not too bulky even for someone with smaller hands -- and they are beautiful to look at. I love making myself a morning latte, and it's enjoyable to watch the foamed milk mix into the espresso, something you can't see in a regular ceramic mug where the patterns and colors of the different liquids are hidden. One warning: if you particularly like to use a hot mug of coffee to warm your hands on a cold day, you may not prefer these glasses. The double-wall design does mean that your coffee stays hot longer, but a side-effect is that you won't feel much heat when you hold the glass in your hand. These glasses are just a little warm to the touch, not hot.

I bought these as a gift for a family member who just got a new expresso machine. They loved it and I was also able to try them out and found them great, they fit well in the hand and there are no issues with the out side getting to hot to hold. The photo attached is from the person I bought them for they were so excited they took this picture.

These mugs (glasses?) are wonderful! I have an older version of them that doesn't have the opening at the bottom with the rubber gasket. I never had a problem with them getting fogged up or compromised, but this improve design should guarantee that never happening to anyone. I love the reaction you get from people who hold them with hot liquid inside! There is no heat transference whatsoever and they are very light but somehow sturdy. These are my every day coffee mugs.
