When I first tried it I could only hear it through the passenger speaker, but I played around with the stereo to balance it out from the left and right and seemed to fix it! Works great 👍

This works perfectly. I was driving a 1997 sedan for a few months that did not have an auxiliary port. I really wanted to listen to my podcasts while driving and after a bit of internet research this was the most highly recommended cassette adapter I could find. It lived up to all my expectations. I can listen to podcasts and music with ease. The construction is solid and so is the audio.

I have an old car, it pulls the ladies

Works well. I tested this out on a road trip from Oakland to LA & back. It played really well. I own a 2000 S430 Mercedes, fibre optic cabling & finicky electronics make me hesitant to replace the stock stereo. I found a guy capable of soldering my existing deck fabricating an AUX port in the front, for several hundred dollars. I'm really glad I took the flyer on this. If you have a tape player similar to a Bose stereo in a 2000 S430 I highly recommend this item. The mechanism that spins the tape in my MBZ is nearly silent & there isn't much white noise if any. I'm a bit of an audiophile. This definitely met and exceeded my expectations especially considering the price point.

I read several reviews before I decided to purchase this device and I must admit I was very hesitant at first; however, I was very pleasantly surprised to find the excellent quality this device produces. Don't get me wrong, this is still based off of a cassette device so the quality isn't as crystal clear as it would be with a newer auxiliary port but you will be amazed with how well this device works, especially if your vehicle is like mine (old) and does not have an auxiliary port option. I am upset at myself for not getting this device over a year ago. Some reviews I read indicated a issue with clicking but I did not experience this issue. When playing podcasts there is a slight noise coming from the cassette but it is barely audible and is not bothersome at all, especially depending on the podcast. When playing music I have had no issues at all. I would definitely recommend this device. Well worth it.

When I first inserted the cassette into my truck it got stuck, also I could barely hear the music with maximum volume, but I think that had to do with my system not the cassette since I haven't used the cassette player in years. Anyways I started wiggling the cassette with a screwdriver and it just popped out one day. After that the sound started playing like it should and I have to say I'm not disappointed. It's loud and clear. Sometimes I do hear static which is very annoying, I'm not sure if it's from my system or the cassette. Either way, this cassette worked great for me. Even after yanking on the cord to try to get it out of my truck it still works. I really have no issues with it now. Sound wise it is lacking a bit in bass. Again not sure if it's the cassette or just my crappy 1995 preinstalled speakers that are lacking, maybe both. I mean there is bass, just not as strong as I personally would like( I'm a Bass head). Volume gets very loud so no complaints there. All in all it sounds great. It gets the job done. So in conclusion, your experience with this cassette highly depends on your sound system. If it doesn't work right a way give it some time, play around with it. I've had the cassette for a couple months and it's still works great so let's see how long it lasts, its just 7 dollars so I'm not to worried about it breaking. But yeah, it gets the job done.

Just bought an used 2nd car that has an ancient radio system. Normally i like to switch the radio head unit with some fancy navigation head unit, but this time I'm just going to leave it as is. I bought a FM bluetooth transmitter adapter at first and the sound quality was horrible, got this one couple days ago and it works as it should. Sound quality is pretty good, there's no static, or cut off, no hissing, it just works. I'll update later on after couple months using it. Definitely recommended.

I have an older (2000) vehicle with no Bluetooth and no input port, and really don't care about spending big bucks to upgrade it. The problem is it has a single CD player and cassette. Now with this device I can plug in my MP3 player into the supplied plug and be able to listen to my large song data base. Sound quality is reasonable for all but the most discerning listener. There is a slight cassette "hiss" that those old enough will remember is "normal" for that media. It really is a cheap way to bring an older system to a more current time without spending too much.

Worked right out of the box. Good (not perfect, but good) audio quality. Tape deck does occasionally reverse, then reverse again.. perhaps the gears are a bit tight. It happened semi-frequently when it was fresh out of the box, but after about 20 minutes of running, it only does it once a day or less now. For under $5, how can I really complain? I got a good deal. Edit: I inadvertently broke the wire on my first adapter.. it caught my knee as I was climbing out of the car. The wire is super flimsy. However, the adapter and sales process worked so well the first time, and it was only $7, I bought a second one. Same audio quality out of the box, and 2nd adapter has not reversed a single time after about 5 hours of use (so far). Would definitely buy again if I needed to!

I waited a few months to write a review and honestly I have nothing but positive stuff to say. The item works very well and honestly those who seem to think otherwise are probably misusing the item. For one: set your phone's volume to be fairly low, use the car's volume control, and for another, don't leave it in the cassette port constantly, especially in extreme weather. For me, keeping both of those things in mind, this item has worked very well. I use it for music and for podcasts and even for better sound on youtube videos during my lunch break. Very useful and super nice. For context my car is a 2006 so I also have a CD player but I prefer my playlists on my phone.
