My dog's favorite toy

This toy is amazing. My dog is notoriously rough on plush toys and generally shreds them to pieces in minutes, but this little guy has been around for months now. She goes everywhere with him. I've thrown him in the washing machine a few times, and he has help up nicely. The squeaker broke about a week into my dog trying her hardest to pop it, but she still loves him just as much, and I am grateful he doesn't squeak any longer. Love this little alligator. I call him Bitey.

Five weeks later

It has taken five weeks to where a large enough hole has been punctured for stuffing to fall out. Squeaker was dead within an hour (thank goodness), but FIVE WEEKS! I have two German Shepherds who aggressively chew their toys, tug on them, fling them across the house and possibly use the toys to frame the cats for breaking something (jury is still out on that). Whatever the case may be, the toy has two holes now and I have removed the excess stuffing and squeaker carcass. The dogs still play with the toy and chew on it so all is well. In my opinion, one chew toy versus 160 pounds of dog for 5 weeks speaks volumes for the quality of this product. I also got the toy as an add-on item for $6.49; definitely got my money's worth. I have had good success with the goDog products and this product continues that trend for me.

I don't actually know what Chew Guard Technology is, but it is awesome.

We have two beagles. Most toys last literally about 30 minutes. Some, 30 seconds. I have purchased EVERY "Tough" dog toy there is and none of them last. NONE of them. ....Until I got a few of these goDog toys. I got a Gator, and elephant and a T-Rex because they were relatively cheap. They were a few bucks more than the super tough toys at Petscomart. I wasn't expecting much. Maybe a few days if I was lucky? I bought them for Christmas 2016 and they are STILL ALIVE! At least one gets chewed on EVERY DAY. Our Beagles LOVE them. They try hard to break the stitching so that they can get to the squeaky heart, but they cannot. These toys are TOUGH! I don't actually know what Chew Guard Technology is, but it is awesome. As a test, I bought an $15 "tough" toy at Petscomart just to be sure they were still going after the toys with the same gusto. Sure enough, they had it eviscerated within the hour! Fluff everywhere! Proof, at least to me, that these goDog toys are actually TOUGH! I paid full price for these. I have never been in contact with the company. I'm not getting paid in any manner for this. I just would like those with beagles (or any other dog that eviscerates their toys immediately) to know that these toys last! ....that tough toys DO exist! Just reviewed my order from 12/9/2016 and found I also bought a triceratops and a flying pig whose service has yet to be required because the other ones are STILL INTACT!

This is one tough gator!

I bought the small size for my Goldendoodle when he was 2 months old. 4 years later, it's feet have been chewed up a bit and it's gone through the washing machine/dryer several times, but it's still going strong. Sam adores it so last year I bought him the large pink gator and named her "Mama". Mama looks like brand new even though Sam plays with her & her "son" daily! Sam isn't a destroyer, but he does chew on them and his other GoDog buddies (he has 5 others) plus he likes to play tug with them, and they've all held up with just minor repair jobs here and there and only 1 squeaker has failed. I highly recommend them.

WAS ORIGINALLY DISAPPOINTED BUT....

The LARGE pink alligator is barely 15 inches long. I was expecting 18 inches because the description and comparison chart both said it was 18 inches long ... and every inch counts when you're trying to entertain a golden retriever puppy. Also, goDog's website says the large has a "grunter" and the small has a squeaker. The pink one we received has a squeaker. Apparently, this one is a SMALL and someone's pants are on fire. I'm glad I didn't order one of the black ones that cost twice as much! UPDATE: I have changed my two star rating to a full five because my dog LOVES this toy and it has stayed intact. Most of his toys squeak, but this is one of but two that he chooses to squeak repeatedly and with great joy. He comes instantly when you squeak it because he doesn't want anyone messing with HIS toy. Please don't tell him that I originally dissed his precious!!!!

A Household Favorite

Our three pups love, love, LOVE goDog brand toys. We normally buy the Large size because our biggest guy is 70lbs. This time I went with the small and our two 35lb mini Aussies play keep away with this thing for hours. I was really worried that the smaller size meant that it would get destroyed faster, but it is actually holding up better.. I am guessing that since it is too small for the dogs to play tug of war that even though it gets more play time, it is taking less damage than the larger version. I absolutely recommend these toys. They last about a month in our house before they are ready to be retired, much longer than similar toys from other brands. They also keep our dog's interest no matter what other toys they have out. Definitely worth the money.

Has lasted 2 years!!

I decided to come back and write a review after playing with this toy with my dog and realizing I bought it almost 2 years ago. Yes, years!! We have many of the goDog toys but this is my dog's favorite. She is a 50 lb. Rottie/Shepherd mix and loves to play tug-of-war and catch with this. She brings it to me every afternoon for a few minutes of play. And after 2 years it is still in one piece and still squeaks!!

Over the years, I've spared no expense buying my dog a range of toys to play with and I have to say: Hands down (or should I say "paws down"), goDog toys are the absolute favorites by a huge margin over all the other toys. My Jack Russel will shred and forget most new toys within minutes, but these goDog toys really tough it out and lasts for weeks and months (not minutes). Even better, for whatever reason that is a mystery to me, my dog just genuinely loves goDog animals... not just preferring to play with these over other toys, but she'll snuggle and sleep with them (she only sleeps with goDog toys - I don't know why, but whatever works). She's happy... I'm happy. Customer for life! :)

My Little Dogs Love It.

When I first saw this blue and orange gator dog toy, it put a Big grin on my face so I ordered one almost immediately. More importantly, my Yorkshire Terriers love it. It's played with all day, this goofy gator may be a little large for a Yorkie, but no matter, they love it. That alone rates five stars. However, it's tough as a real gator. After a couple of months of steady play, this gator is, still like new, no torn seams, or missing parts, and the Yorkie crew has destroyed some toys within a matter of days. The gator takes everything they give it and comes back for more. A great dog toy, great value, and tough.
