Bought this for my first year of college and after completing my first semester I can say that I love this microwave. A simple google search of best college microwave brought this model up and I bought it considering its reasonable price and its adherence to my dorm's wattage specifications. I have had 0 problems and all my food heats up really well. It has mainly been used to heat up popcorn and Panda Express leftovers as well as the homemade instant coffee. No problems so far and I hope that it stays that way. A plus is that the black and sliver model remains low profile and sleek at the same time unlike many white boxes for microwaves that are out there.

This is actually still boxed, but I have used this product in the past and am very pleased with it.

great oven bakes great and looks good too

The oven works great and has excellent features. I gave it a five-star review for multiple reasons: It looks great, it performs great, and it has a glass touchpad instead of pressure-sensitive buttons. The cooking temperature is displayed on the front of the oven as it heats, showing you how close you are to cooking temperature, and the unit beeps when the temperature is hit. The bottom heating element is enclosed and is not exposed to the oven interior. This makes the oven much easier to clean and to keep nice. It comes with three shelves and multiple rails for adjustments. It has a full Sabbath setting menu for Jewish users who observe Shabbat. The convection fan is not very loud and works exactly as it should. The oven allows for convection roasting as well as convection baking and the instruction manual tells how you should set the oven to prepare various food items. The cooking temperature (actual temperature) is user adjustable to plus-or-minus 35 degrees, allowing you to correct any disparity in the actual temperature and the cooking temperature displayed. The oven makes clicking noises very often, but this is normal operation. The manual states that the oven has very strict tolerances for heat and the clicking is the oven adjusting to maintain a perfect temperature. You will also hear a fan when the oven is on, even when you are not using convection, this is because the oven has a fan that helps keep the internal electronics cool when it is operating. The fan will remain on for some time after you are finished cooking as it cools the unit off. One thing to note is that this oven is quite deep and it might not fit in your opening if you have a gas line in the recess. Our gas line is in the opening and the oven would not fit. I had to make an extension to my cabinet in order to accommodate the deeper oven. This is something that the average homeowner will likely not be able to do, but I have a wood shop and was able to build the extension to make the oven fit. This is something to think about, so be sure to measure carefully (which I didn't) before buying the oven. I installed it along with a KitchenAid gas stovetop (KCGS550ESS) and the mounting brackets for the stovetop went down too far and the oven hit them, so I had to modify the brackets in order to get the oven to install as well. This included remaking the brackets so that they were nearly flush to the bottom of the stovetop. Please measure better than I did before purchasing anything, as it is not a trivial matter to modify mounting hardware and to build cabinet extensions to accommodate a larger oven if the depth is restricted because of a gas pipe. Bottom line: Highly Recommended
