I had purchased a couple salad dressing containers prior to this one. I found that they all dribbled. This dressing shaker does all the right stuff. The size is perfect for mixing just enough dressing to last for a month or so. It's easy to mix the dressing because the top comes off easily. Measurements are on the side of the shaker to make measuring out ingredients even easier. The top plug is tight enough that I can shake the bottle vigorously without any leakage. Because the spout is curved, dressing that lingers on the top tends to run back into the bottle, so that none is wasted. I've been using this dressing shaker for about a year and still no dribbles. It holds up well. I haven't had any pieces wear down or break.

The OXO salad dressing shaker is just what I wanted!!! It is not too small - as to not hold enough dressing. If I am taking the time to make homemade salad dressing, I wanted a container that would hold enough dressing for a few days. It is not too large - as to not fit in the refrigerator door. This container fits perfectly in my refrigerator door. The container is also decorative enough to place on the dining table when having company over. I was concerned about leakage when shaking the container, since I did not want salad dressing all over me or my kitchen. So I did a "test" ...I filled the container with water and shook it and shook it some more...NOT A DROP escaped!! I even turned it upside down for several minutes ( see photo) and still...NOT A DROP escaped!!! If I am still happy with the OXO Good Grips Salad Dressing container after a few weeks, I am planning to purchase 2 more, since I like having daily options for myself and friends!

I already had the larger size but find that I am frequently retrieving that one from the dishwasher so thought a 2nd one might be good and decided to go with the smaller size. I used it several times the first week - capacity is about a cup so works great when you have a smaller amount. I don’t use it for salad dressing but rather for mixing eggs or when making a thickening agent to add to broth or soup...

The little shaker has been perfect for making homemade salad dressing. The first salad dressing container I bought was basically just a glass bottle with screw on lid. I didn't understand the need for shaking at first or the convenience the top opening would provide, but this is great. It is small, so might not work for a big family or dinner party, but for just two of us, it works great. It has survived the top shelf of our dishwasher with no problem.

I like to make my own salad dressing and these little salad dressing shakers are the perfect size for small batches. I use fresh ingredients in my dressing so the small containers are perfect--I use up the dressing before the ingredients spoil. This is my second order of these shakers and I could not be more pleased. I also like the top seal which is air tight. The main portion screws onto the cap. It is easily cleaned and I feel very comfortable in having these on my dinner table for family or guests!

If you need one of these, and you do need one, buy it. I wanted a dressing shaker for a long time, but thought it was stupid to pay when I could just stir the dressing in a mason jar, which was messy and less effective. Finally broke down and bought this and am mad at myself for not buying one sooner. Works great, less mess.

These shakers are awesome. I got a large initially and liked it so much I got a small as well. I make a honey mustard vinaigrette and it's a little thick, but it comes out of the shaker fine. I also started making creamer and the large one is perfect for that, and I use the small for salad dressing. There is a little residue left on the lip after pouring, but I just wipe it off with a kitchen towel and it's fine. For the most part I eyeball recipes, but the measurements are nice to have. I also like that it's easy to screw on and does not leak.

Dont buy that store bought crap salad dressing. Take some olive oil, add a little spicy mustard, couple drops of balsamic, and some salt and pepper and shake it up in this bad boy.

(This review is for the small size jar.) I loved the IDEA of this item – a leakproof dressing jar with a nice wide opening for adding ingredients and a nice narrow spout for pouring. That's two different opportunities for leakage. I didn't believe for a second that it would be leakproof, but I ordered it anyway in my unending search for a leakproof "shakeable" dressing jar. I figured that when it leaked all over the place like every other dressing jar, I would just return it. So guess what? IT DOESN'T LEAK!! The only reason this jar isn't actually perfect is that the measurement markings are a little hard to read, especially when I use a darker vinegar. However this flaw isn't enough to remove a star. To open/close the spout, you just pull back/push up the lever. I really like the small size, just right for one or two people (unless you like to make a lot of dressing in advance). If this clever little jar loses its leakproof properties, I'll update the review. Fingers crossed.

I never thought a salad dressing container would excite me so much. BUT THIS ONE DOES! I stopped buying salad dressing a few years ago and now just take two minutes every week or so to make a vinaigrette with whatever sounds good. So easy, so tasty. I used one of those little glass cruets for a long time, but the rubber seal kept popping out of the stopper and lodging in the neck. Inevitably, as I was - yet again - trying to get it out with a butter knife one day, the seal slipped into the bottle instead of out. And that was that. So I ordered this, and my life was changed. Think I'm joking? I'm SO NOT JOKING. Okay, maybe just a little facetiousness. But salad is serious business in my house. And this bottle is tough, dishwasher safe, and has yet to leak. The hinged stopper and seal are fantastic. I hold it down while shaking just in case, but honestly I don't think it would pop open if it was closed firmly. And dressing doesn't drip when you pour! What?? Really. And the pour is much more controlled than it was with the glass cruet. OXO does it again! Worth every penny.
