These are 100x better than the standard black ones. These are a softer foam material that doesnt crack when opened up to insert new cuttings. I am also able to fit 8 clones per site with these collars.

Solid Cloning Collar

They remove easily from the foam pad without tearing. Small relief slits remain snug after use. Actual hole punched in the middle allowed for uniform pressure around the stems. Very pleased with this purchase. Will return to seller.

These come in a square sheet and the holes have all been pressed so all you have to do is pop them out. They are around an inch think

Just using them now on my new Tower Garden to block unused openings until new plants germinate. Work great!

Roots grow into the foam

Gosh I feel dumb, as I thought the roots would grow UNDER the foam, not into it. Best rooting medium we found to date. It's the foam that is key.. not just any foam works either. Really effective stuff for DIY clone boxes.

Cheap and work like a charm!

I love these! They worked great for my DIY cloner. Just make sure you use a 1 and 3/4 hole saw like they recommend. No reason to pay huge money for these! Would recommend to anyone.

Good Quality, they fit 2 inch net cups.

These collars are great. Fit my 2 inch net cups and they also fit the Hydrofarm Salad Grow Box net cups. Easy to use. I'm sure to order more in the future!

Very sturdy

I bought a 13/16 whole saw and a square plastic bucket and used these to put cuttings in. Held plants well and I had some over large ones in. To press them in whole tight enough to keep light out and provide support for stalk they get crushed on one side. Will flip to the other side next time. Not sure you will get more than 4 uses per collar due to they don't seem to be returning to previous diameter after being removed. But hey you get 50 so that is around 200 cuttings so for this price you can't beat it. Light penetration thru collar is minimal no algae build up.

Value Town!

Of course my cloner only has 4 spots, so 50 collars will last me years - So I have this thing with collars, some of the foam or neoprene collars squeeze way too tight, and you have to stretch them a bit before you can even consider putting your clone in. These are actually manufactured with that in mind, when they are pressed the center has been cut right out, and its not a ton of space, but large enough for most clones. I like that. I don't leave a review on most of my growing equipment, but these guys asked for it, and I like the value. I do wish I was able to get the blue for the same price as the black, just because its more appealing to me, but all the same, its a collar, and it performs better than expected! Don't keep shopping, this is the best value.

I expected to receive 50 neoprene (or something similar) plugs that would fit into 2" net pots. That is exactly what I received. Shipping was fast. An added benefit is that they send the inserts in the sheet of material sheet that they are cut from. There are probably a half dozen uses for this piece of buoyant material
