I wanted a case to protect my fishing rods during travel, but most of the products being sold for that purpose were higher in price, so I thought I'd try this document tube. While it isn't durable like a PVC pipe might be, it is adequate for my purposes. In contrast to some of the negative reviews, so far I'm seeing a good positive locking of the adjustability design, and the shoulder strap is ample. I took 2 different densities of foam and cuts discs to press into the base, and a smaller diameter foam duo (so it would fit inside the tube) to glue into the cap, so both ends are well protected.

So, I purchased this for a poster that I presented at a conference held in a place fa fa away. I paid fair price, near about $25.00 on AMZN. The product arrived with very small crack on the cap cover, nothing major. But the packaging was good, and I needed it for now, & later, so I kept it. I did not have chance to contact Nozlen or AMZN, & was hoping I would do so after I returned from the conference. I did fill out a previous comment stating the above in similar terms. Day before my trip, I received a box straight from Nozlen with two replacement plastic covers. Not one, but two. One in black, and other white, since apparently they did not know which I had bought, but were kind enough to send me both. The responsiveness is amazing, and I am seeing this more & more as social media, and reviews and need for public perception runs high. I cannot commend Nozlen enough on this customer service. The tube served my purpose just FINE. I had to tape up the joint (extension area) in the middle, just to make sure it did not come apart during transit. This is highly recommended and not a product fault, rather your own due diligence in how much you value your item inside. :). I also taped the cap at the junction, just mindful of the possibility that I might have to put it into checked luggage (I did not). I suggest you ask your flight crew to put it away in a closet, if it does not fit the overhead bin. Someone on online boards suggested to wrap the poster in a cheaper paper poster to protect it (?). I did not have any problem though I did wrap it in something (i.e. no wrap was really needed). Overall, this is a good plastic poster tube and strong enough not to be easily crushed. You can buy this with assurance.

I've used this for posters both locally and nationally where travel is imminent. It can easily hold several rolled-up posters at a time if you put one within the other, and is adjustable for different sizes. It has a label at the end so you can put your name and contact information in case it gets lost, and the strap makes this easier to travel around with at conferences. I have both put this in overhead compartments as a carry-on in planes, and have checked it in through the airport where this held up very well. The only tip I'd give is if you're checking up in, it might be in a different pick-up section of baggage claim that your other bags because of it's strange shape compared to other items.

I actually use this to transport my four 3-foot long poles for my photography backdrop. This thing works perfectly!

Good heavy duty tube, did it's job and protected everything I needed to keep safe, and expanded to fit many possible sizes. Haven't bothered testing it in rain or mud to see how well it keeps documents dry, but the design of it tells me that it'll fair pretty well. It's a very heavy duty document tube, so if you're looking for something rugged and versatile, this is amazing at making sure you can fit any size poster or document and protect it through any situation. It's a little bit heavy and cumbersome for light-duty use, so if you just need a tube to carry documents from one office to another in the same building I feel that this will be a little bit overkill, but if you are running around multiple places that requires you to be outside at any given point in time, the peace of mind of being able to throw this thing all over the place and still know that your documents are safe is definitely worth the extra weight and size. Edit: I originally gave the tube 4 stars because the extra size and bulk were a downside in my opinion, but after going through comiccon with it I realized that it wasn't actually noticeably larger than any of the light-duty document tubes. On top of that, the extra mile that Nozlen takes to stay in constant e-mail contact and ensure customer satisfaction (I got no less than 3 emails keeping me up to date on my item between the time I ordered it, the time it shipped, and the time it arrived) definitely made up for any shortcomings that I thought this tube had. Overall, I'd say that this is definitely a tube that you can't pass up if you want something to transport documents in!

This is one of those products you find when it occurs to you that "wouldn't it be nice if someone made a container to store big posters and maps." Very few of us could afford the big, specialized cabinets with wide, thin drawers built for holding lots of large documents. We usually have one or two or thee things which we never frame, but do not wish to discard. This product is the answer to your prayers. It is long enough to hold an exceptionally tall map of Europe, rolled up, and it is of a wide enough diameter that I can roll up two additional maps and feed them inside the large map. IF you roll things carefully, you could probably fit six to eight documents in, but if you expect to retrieve them often, I would limit it to four documents per tube. Each tube comes with a neat lable you can place on the cap to indicate the contents. If you happen to have a number of US Geological Survey maps, this is ideal. The fact that the tube telescopes to a wide variety of lengths is an advantage for both narrow and wide sheets. You don't want to put a 22 by 28 inch poster in a tube which is 36 inches long. Twenty-eight inches is quite long enough.

I was looking for tube to transport my fishing rod in, and this tube worked very well for my purpose. I was able to get three 2 piece spin fishing rods in the tube, along with one multi-piece flyrod into the case with it being extended approximately 3/4 of the maximum length. to The tube functioned as my carry-on for an airline flight, and also served to protect the rods while in the bed of a pickup truck with other outdoor equipment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone, and my only reason for not awards a full 5 stars is that the strap is too short to easily use to carry the tube over your shoulder when the tube is fully (or mostly) extended to it's maximum length. **UPDATE 8/4/2014** Nozlen was in contact me with after seeing my feedback about the strap length and provided me with a new revised strap that is approximately 24" longer and make the tube much easier to carry when extended to some of the longer lengths. They provided the new strap free of charge and mentioned this strap will be on future production of the product. Based on this great customer experience and the resolution of the only issue I had with the tube, I have updated my review from 4 to 5 stars. Way to go Nozlen with a listening to your customers and product feedback!

True to other reviews please be aware the shoulder strap length is quite tight when the tube is maxed out. This would be ok for smaller women and men but would be difficult for anyone with a larger frame or a reasonable amount of muscle, let alone trying to get this over your shoulder with a coat/jacket on. Also based on other reviews, I was worried that the tube could come undone. To deal with this potential issue, I wrapped clear packing tape over the overlap area. I tend to over prepare so to make sure the tube didn't collapse in transit I placed a solid - almost unbreakable - cardboard roll inside the poster, within the tube. The setup was solid enough that my poster was kept in pristine condition on the multiple flights, trains, trams and buses. The poster tube looks good and I wasn't worried about appearing like a ragged student. I would recommend this product to students who want to keep your posters looking professional.

I searched for a good poster tube that would expand in length based on need. This is the only unit that actually lived up to the expectations. First, it is a solid tube, and not a flimsy plastic. If you banged it against a door, it would protect the insides. But if you jumped on it, it might crack. I loaded mine up with 5 posters and headed to an event. Once there, I picked up a couple more, pulled mine out a few times and got some much wanted autographs. With all of the opening and closing, the tube held strong and protected my new treasures. I would suggest this tube if you need to protect different length posters. Strongly recommend over the other units available as this one really lived up to the billing.

The Declaration of Independence is only 29 3/4" tall by 24 1/2" wide and this document tube can expand up to 40" inches. As such, it works quite well for my purposes. It's water resistant, so I can rest assured that documents I'm transporting are safe from rain, splashes from the escape boat and other moisture. I do find that I have to avoid jumping into canals or attempting to exfiltrate via scuba gear, since the expandable nature of the tube means that it is not totally waterproof and should not be submerged. Still, this isn't a huge problem since I typically use boats, vans or helicopters to get around, and the convenience factor of re-sizing the tube more than makes up for not being waterproof. If I get to a location and discover that an item I need to retrieve is a bit larger than I expected, I can extend the tube to accommodate fairly large documents, up to about 39-40" wide. The plastic is rigid, so I don't have to worry about gold bars, sacks of cash, thermal drill parts or ancient artifacts crushing my documents when I throw them in the back of the van. Lastly, the black color works great at night, and goes nicely with a classic suit and tie which is always a bonus.
