I actually had to buy 2 since both can fit in my kitchen drawer: Pro: Holds 6 small knives up front, and 5 Big knives in the back Good fit keep the knives with the blades covered Cons: Over size handles may hold the knives at an angle although all my knives are normal size Wish they had one twice as big, but cheap enough to buy 2

There were multiple variations|seller for this type of storage units with varying ratings and price. What caused me to pick this brand is the impressed "Cook N Home" logo on the side of the racks, I bought 2 of the units which fit nicely in the kitchen drawer leaving enough free space for steels and cleaver. My knives fit well in the units (longest blade 11 inch) and all blades are easily accessible.

I am so happy with this product! It wonderfully organized as my knives so that I can easily find it the one that I want. Fits beautifully in my drawer, and it makes me feel so happy that I’m starting to be a little more organized. I would definitely recommend this product.

Bought this to store new knives. Great because the 6 segments are held together with threaded bolts/nuts so the width can be changed to fit different drawer widths. In my case, I removed one section to fit into my drawer. NOTE: You'll have to cut the threaded rods down after removing a section.

Have had the knife block for about two weeks. Great drawer block. I have 8 Zwilling JA Henckels Twin Four Star II steak knives in the slots, 1 paring knife, and two 20 year old larger MAC knives. The drawer block only has 6 smaller knife slots on the top; not a problem I just put several of the steak knives in the lower slots. My drawer depth from the "inside bottom of the drawer to the top of the drawer opening is 3 7/16th inches and the knives all fit fine and the drawer closes with no problem. I consider this a low profile knife storage block. I put a rolled up towel at the back of the drawer to keep the storage block from shifting to the rear. Recommend this storage block. I paid full price for this storage unit. Update 10/13/16: This knife block is holding up beautifully. Still love it. Strongly recommend

I’ve looked around for a knife block that does not take up to much room on my counter to no avail. I found one solution, but after receiving it I found it to be too small for cooking knives. Also, I did not want to drill holes in my marble backsplash to have a magnetic knife holder on the wall. Finally, I came back this product, and I am happy I gave it a try. This is the perfect solution to cooking knives that would take up counter space via knife block. In a nutshell, I reorganized a couple drawers and I am not going back. If you’re on the fence about a knife block, give this a try. It’s worth the little time you put into reorganizing a couple drawers.

I was a bit skeptical buying this... it looked a bit "cheap" from the pics, but when I received it, it actually looked great. The stain on mine is darker, more of a honey brown, which makes it look way better than the pic. It's very very solid, and surprisingly holds all of my knives very well! I have a few fillet knives, sushi knives, and some steak knives, ALL of which made it in with no problem. The only issue I have is that I wish there was some sort of locking mechanism just in case my kids open the knife drawer! Not really an issue with the product, just need to find a better place to put my knives!

Handsome, well crafted, and well engineered. I don't have place for a fancy knife rack, and I was afraid my beautiful new knives lying loose in the wide utensil drawer would be ruined. This sits easily in the middle of the drawer, and it holds all 11 lovely knives that I own. Other items lie on either side. Perfect!!!

I really, really like not seeing a knife block on my kitchen counter. One more piece of clutter cleared! Well worth the time to make space in my drawer. As for size, thank you to fellow shoppers for all the answers listed. I found this was my Goldilocks options- just right. I realized I didn't need to have every knife out that I own, just the ones I use most often and just the number of steak knives I will realistically want for a small gathering. The rest can be stored further away. This is the right amount of knife storage for daily use, smaller gatherings, and a standard size kitchen. Just right....

I have a narrow drawer that had a lot of knives in it - just laying there. It wasn't the safest as you could reach in and get your hand cut. This storage unit allowed me to organize the drawer. The knives are now safely sitting in the drawer. I am using knives ranging in size from 8" chef knives down to pairing knives. I need to find someway to store my butcher knife. It is too big for this storage unit (and doesn't fit in my drawer). First world problems...
