Easy to install!

I wanted to wait a week to make sure ours still worked before writing a review. I am proud to say my husband installed this and it only took him about 20 minutes. No you tube! No google! I had to text him to make sure it was that easy before I reported that it was because he didn't even struggle. He was proud to say it was not difficult at all. Just pay attention to how you take the old one off and you will be fine. After reading some of the reviews I was concerned. We had ours out of the freezer for a week waiting for the part so I did read that it is recommended to do this at room temperature so maybe that is what made it so easy. Exact replacement for our GE fridge.

Works Great! Install tips in review.

This has been working great now for some time so I decided it was time to let you know it works great! Installing it can be slightly tricky if your not mechanically inclined. But still you don't have to be an electrical engineer or anything. If you Google videos on installing these you will find a few. Very helpful to know and watch someone else before doing it first. A word or two to Help you. First let the tray get to room temp before trying to take it apart. Clod plastic can crack. Once at room temperature the plastic is easy to work with. Keep the video handy. A second note is to pay close attention to reassembly of the auger into the tray. The Fixed Blades have a small ear that needs to go into the tray notch. I missed this in watching the video and I was getting some crushed ice and mostly cubes. Watch the video again and found I did not place the auger into the notch. This hold the fixed blades from rotating around. All this may sound hard, but watch the videos on youtube and decide for yourself if you can do it. Sure will save you a lot of money doing it yourself. Hope this helps you get it working again.

Instructions for installation were very clear and easy to follow. These things break if you don't empty your ice maker bucket every so often. I know.

Exactly what I needed ice maker fixed!

It is wonderful to finally have more than one ice Cube slowly come out of my ice maker again after over a year of being broken. Tip... Do not use a metal spoon to break loose frozen ice on top of your ice maker auger.

Good replacement part / Fast shipping

Mine is GE Model Number - GSH25JSTFSS. With the instruction from YouTube, it took less than an hour to replace the part / having some extra tools, like putty knife will help you complete the job easier. It is decent replacement part, and now my ice dispenser works as it supposed to. The seller shipped my package in timely manner, which is plus!

Just installed the auger. Works great so far. Take it easy when removing the plastic cover. Search the video on YouTube and watch how they remove it. Also take a picture of the springs and blades and washers before you remove it.
