I read a ton of these reviews before purchasing, and was a little uneasy about how this would work out. However I've experienced none of the issues other people mentioned! This chair seems to be good quality and sturdy. I'm just under 200lbs and it easily supports me. Don't let the negative comments prevent you from getting this chair, it's a steal.

Wish I had bought it for massages... bought it because a relative had eye surgery and had to remain face down in the chair 22 hours a day for a week to allow his surgery to heal....too bad he couldn't have gotten a few massages out of it...

Ironically I do not use this massage chair for receving or giving massages. I bought it for the sole purpose of browsing on my phone or maybe taking a nap comfortably without putting too much pressure on my back. I can say that the chair is well built, I have actually stood on the seat ( I weigh 145lbs) however I do not recommend you do this. The chair folds up, but still takes up quite a bit of room (see pictures for reference). In a professional setting (I work in a rehab clinic with massage therapist that have massage chairs to treat patients, and the chair is quite comparable to the ones they use). I recommend this chair since it is reasonably priced and is more than good enough for at home use.

Product exceeded expectations. Good value at my purchase price. If I could change one thing, it would be to add an extra 0.5” to 1” of foam at shins and seat. Although there is no shin fatigue within 30 minutes of use, I wonder about the durability of the foam at those locations and extra padding would help alleviate these concerns.

I bought this chair a few weeks back since I'm doing an apprenticeship and I wanted my own chair to practice with. I take mine to a resort twice a week and into the studio when it's slow to practice on the other technicians. It's super stiff when you're setting it up- which I like since it adds an element of sturdiness that helps me relax while I perform the massages. It was easy to assemble, the carrying bag is super durable, and the height adjustments and head rest adjustments are easy to navigate. Just buy it, it's honestly perfect!

Love it! It's nice and sturdy and I've used it many times already. Granted some of the clients may be little to big but! It holds its ground and lets me do what I need! Thanks!

My mom got eye surgery and she needed this chair so I rented it from company for $320 per week!! So after 1week I looked for one at amazon.com and found this chair with cheap price. It was perfect for her but I can't comment about as a massage chair because she just sits there.

Used for a chair massage event. Sturdy enough for the six clients I worked on. Might have had someone around 250 at heaviest & chair was fine. I figured I would be doing a lot of walking, so I used a wagon to carry it around. Relatively light though. Much more manageable than walking a long time with a table. Some of the other therapists had chairs upwards of $300 dollars. I didn't feel like this chair was all that inferior. It would be nice to have a rolling case for it, though.

Husband uses for his tattoo shop. Clients commented on how it is comfortable, my husband likes that it is lightweight and easy to clean.

The one-sided paper instructions (not really instructions, more like inventory list) were lacking, but I figured it out and had it set up in under 15 minutes out of the box. The arm rest on the back was placed between the other 2 cushions and looked like it was intended to remain there, but it isn't attached. The Velcro on the headrest bar also threw me off at first, since Velcro generally has another Velcro piece to attach to and all.. I don't like that the face cushion is only attached to the chair by Velcro as it feels unsecured at first, but once you sit on it, you know it isn't going anywhere. It seems very sturdy and is of nice quality. I will posit that my husband and I are on the smaller side, neither of us individually reach 130 lbs, so it isn't exactly like we stress tested it. I would recommend it personally. I'm not sure if it's up to professional quality, but it is great for casual use.
