I absolutely LOVE this Panda mini dryer. It's the perfect match to my Panda washer/spin dryer. Yes, it's compact....it's supposed to be. If you expect to fill with larger loads, you might want to make room for the new larger Panda dryer. But I have to say that Panda made the absolute MOST of the space and offers the largest size drum that could possibly fit in this compact size. The first time I tried it, it did take a few minutes on the hot setting before I felt warmth coming out of the dryer vent (most likely caused by the cold wet clothes). But I was surprised when I checked the clothes and they were already dry....sooner than I'd been led to believe. When 2 pair of stretch jeans were finished, they felt HOT! But this was before getting to the warm or cool down cycle, since I kept moving it back into the HOT part of the dial so things would dry faster. I was also pleased to notice that even after running several loads in a row that the top, sides and back didn't even feel warm on the outside....which tells me that it's well insulated. That's nice since it sits in a small area. It's also very quiet. If you need a compact dryer and can deal with a smaller drum, by all means try this dryer. It arrived on time, was packaged well and worked perfectly right out of the box. My only complaint is that I didn't receive an owner's manual. Hopefully, Panda can send me an online document. Update 2/22/14: Bright and early Saturday morning (very next day), I received scanned copies of the owner's manual by email from Kate at Panda/Sonya. I'm happy and love this little dryer.

As for the dryer itself, I love it. It fits about the same amount of stuff as I do in a load in the little Panda washer I bought (the PAN30), so it's the perfect size to pair with that. But I did run into one little problem. I'm not deducting any stars because it was something that happened during shipping, and not something that's wrong with the dryer itself. I'm just posting it because it might be helpful to anyone else who might run into the same thing so they know what to do about it. I thought the dryer I received was defective because when I first went to use it it was getting hot but the drum wasn't turning. I called the company's customer service and got an actual, helpful human being on the second ring (a big plus!). She said that it wasn't defective - that it was just something that occasionally happens during shipping, and that she'd email me a picture of what to do about it. I didn't feel like waiting for her email, and assumed from what she said that all it was was that a belt had come off during shipping, so I just took the back panel off the dryer (very easy) and saw that the belt for the drum had indeed slipped off. The belt was very easy to put back around the drum (it's obvious how to put it back on when you're looking at it). I'm not particularly mechanically inclined, but the whole process of taking the back off, putting the belt back on, and putting the back of the dryer back on only took about five minutes. So, if anyone else happens to get one of these and thinks it's defective because the drum isn't turning, don't worry, it's fine. Just take the back off and put the belt back on.

I just started using this yesterday. I have a Midea portable washing machine 1.6 cu.ft.Top Loading Washing and the way I've figured it is that half loads in that machine will be the maximum amount that this dryer can accommodate. I was able to find a 3" to 4" converter to connect the indoor vent and hook up was quick and easy. I have found that it is more time efficient to turn the dial to the red area between 120 to 200 minutes as it does seem to be hotter in that range vs the lower orange/yellow time ranges. Plus, I don't have to deal with the built in cool down time in the lower time range. If I want to run a 1 hour cycle, I just set the dial to 180 minutes and stop it at 120 minutes so it will be hot the whole time. The following sized loads took an hour each to dry: 1) 4 sweatshirts (mens medium/large), 2) about 12 washcloths/dishrags, 6 pairs of cotton socks, 4 pairs of flannel boxer shorts and 2 tee shirts, 3) 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, 6 dishrags/washcloths. Right now I am drying a smaller load of 3 thermal tops with a tee shirt. They came out bone dry after an hour. In case you are wondering about sheets (the main reason I got this machine), a single queen size sheet will fit. I try to not fill the drum more than about half full to allow for efficient tumbling and drying. I could stuff the other sheet in but it wouldn't dry very well. BTW, I run 2 spin cycles after each load to extract more water from the clothes. I have this on top of my refrigerator and it fits perfectly. The room it is in is a combo living/dining/kitchen/office multipurpose room. It did get a little bit warm when running this when the oven was on but otherwise it doesn't seem to heat up the room too much. Humidity went from 30 to 50% which is fine in the wintertime. In the warmer months I plan to vent it out the window. If you don't mind doing smaller loads more often and are limited on space this could be what you are looking for if you want to skip the laundromat. Update: this is my third week of using the dryer and I'm getting the hang of optimal load size and what temp range and time to use. Biggest challenges so far are: pants (at least corduroy) come out wrinkled (even when dried alone), only 1 queen size sheet fits so it takes 2-3 hours to dry the whole set. When I get the load/temp and time just right the clothes come out beautifully. My goal is to dry the loads in an hour. This is a pretty amazing little thing. You just have to be willing to accept the size limitation but I am working around it. I find it's actually easier and faster to keep up with my laundry by doing smaller loads more often. If you want a dryer but are very space (and outlet) challenged I recommend seriously considering this product. Of course, this is really best suited for a single person, perhaps a couple without children. Update 3/8/15: I've been using the dryer for 2 months and have come to love it. I have figured out the right size load/temp settings to dry the loads within an hour (I do two extra spin cycles on my portable washer to reduce drying time). I typically do several small loads a week but I've been sick and let it pile up. No problem! By the time the first load dries, the second load of wash is ready to go in the dryer. Before the dryer I was doing wash all day long on one of the weekend days but no more. I'll get through the 4 loads I have today in a few hours. Pants are still problematic as they come out too wrinkled (I hate ironing) but I spray them with wrinkle releaser and they come out looking pretty good. Sheets still take several hours as you can only do 1 queen sheet at a time but it so so worth it to not have to trudge out in the snow and sub freezing temps to go to the laundromat just to dry a few things.. The best part is I really haven't noticed an increase in my electric bill! People have complained about cleaning the lint filter. I always clean the lint filter after every load in any dryer I've had. This one needs an extra step or two but it's no biggie. I know cleaning the lint filter helps it dry more efficiently and that's what I am after. I have included front and side views (side view with indoor vent kit attached), the lint filter and an example of a load that I dried in an hour. Update 11/24/16: A little before the 1 year warranty was up the dryer started making a scraping noise. Eventually I notice a white piece of felt protruding from the drum. I contacted the company after the warranty was up (my fault) and was told it was the felt that cushions the dryer drum. In all honesty, my interactions with the company were very pleasant. The problem is that it could take as long as 2 months to get the felt from them at 18.00 or buy another drum with the felt for 60.00. Just wanted to let people know that there could be some issues if you need a replacement part. I know this makes me hesitant to purchase from them again despite their helpful service.

Clothes come out very soft and mostly wrinkle free. I sometimes use the "cool down" cycle w/a damp wash cloth on clothes that are a little wrinkled, that helps. Main thing is to clean the filters often, I use a clothing lint remover "wand" to remove the the lint quickly from the round, outer filter. Use the Wonder Washer, the Mini Countertop Spin Dryer w/this & they all work very well together.

I am very impressed I have a small little washer that works excellent it only washes a handful of items and Spins them practically dry. As you can see from the picture it dried two pairs of pants 2 T-shirts and two tank tops completely dry one load took only 18 minutes. Prior to that I dried a sweatshirt with a long sleeve shirt and a face cloth dried it in 18 minutes. Dries it very well I was very surprised even with my heavy weight clothing such a sweatshirts towels bathrobe and other heavy items it dries it very very well no damp spots

Love it great size

great dryer for my needs, light enough to carry up and down stairs to my apt by myself. drys clothes in double the time a normal dryer which is ok. it holds enough clothes for me, so as long as i watch it so it doesnt rattle with too much clothes i seem to be ok. I try not to push this too hard, i hang my clothes beforehand atleast an hour to let them air dry off a bit. I clean out the dryer filter each time, the inner one i have to use tape on to get the hair off it. That would be the only improvement would be to make that process easier. i am not sure why they say i cant take the filter off, but i may try that someday when it breaks.

I've been using daily we've been leaving in our Rv for 3 months now Let me rephrase that.. I have been abusing this washer everyday ( wash at least 5 loads) as we are a family of 6 and we shower daily using endless towels and clothes .. loads are small can fit 2 thick men working Jean's per load or about 4 towels per load or 4 sets of pjs or 2 queen size fitted sheets or 1 twin size comforter ,very small compact washer Is very silent as it washes you can hardly hear it washing, it has several washing cycles which I love, (makes 5 loud beep noise to alert you that it's done wahing
