Three words - FAB. U. LOUS !

Three words... FAB U LOUS!!! Well thats actually one but you get the point. Fan is silent, lovely in style and works like a dream in my enclosed porch (9'x12') - which gets plenty of sunlight. This is my second purchase of this fan. Also bought it for my kitchen which is considerably larger than the porch (14x 16') and it is killer good there as well! LOVE THIS FAN. Buy with confidence. Best deal you'll find and the quality cannot be beat!

If it Clicks it may not be defective...

We bought this fan as a birthday present. We also purchased the remote and had the fan installed by an electrician. When we turned the fan on it started making a clicking noise. I have had 3 hunter fans and they have all be silent. I went through the reviews and noted other people complaining about the clicking noise. Most of the reviews praised how silent the fan was. I decided we were going to have to take it down and send it back. Big Pain!! I called my electrician to see if he could return. He immediately said he could stop the clicking, there was nothing wrong with the fan. He came back the next day and in about five minutes the fan was silent. He explained that when he installed the remote it had an antenna on it hanging down.. He thought he had secured it but it came loose. He tucked the antenna out of the way and the fan functions as expected. The recipient of the fan is thrilled with it. It looks good, runs goods and was fairly priced. I write this review has a heads up. If you purchase a fan with the remote kit and have a clicking sound, it is not the fan. Stay Cool!!

The fan went up easily. DO GET a retrofit ceiling fan bracket/safety bar ...

Wanted a fan to hug the ceiling as we have 8’ ceilings. This met all my requirements—height, blade length for size of room, and can use LED bulbs. The fan went up easily. DO GET a retrofit ceiling fan bracket/safety bar to insert between ceiling joists. Fans are too heavy to hang from most electrical boxes. The fan went up very quickly, less than an hour start to finish. That includes teading directions. The opaque bowl shade limits the amount of light. So we put in 60w equivalent “daylight” LED bulbs, and were satisfied with brightness. In our small 10 x 10 room, this helped cool very well.

Quality!!

Hunter does it again!! This is the second Hunter fan I have bought this year. I liked the one in my kitchen so much I purchased this one for my sons room to replace the noisy piece of junk that was in there currently. Very classy look, extremely quiet. You seriously can't even tell it is running unless you feel the breeze or see the blades spinning. I will ONLY purchase this brand from this point forward. LOVE!

Great fan!

Bought this for my parent's bedroom in their newly remodeled house and we are quite happy with it. Pushes out air nicely, and quietly, Small size fits perfect in the 12x12 room and colors are fantastic!

Great for my office

For the money I paid ($67 damaged outside packing) I think it was a good buy, attractive and functional. Addressing comments from previous buyers: Yes, the bulbs are not bright enough to read by, but brighter bulbs are available. The chain pull works fine if you make sure you align all the holes leading to the end of the pull. Easy to install, but make sure you glance at the instructions paying attention to the assembly. If you don't, you will probably end up disassembling and redoing.

Great fan from Hunter Works just like it should

Love this fan. Does not wobble, priced right, looks great, easy to install, and moved air like it should. I use this in a bedroom which I use as an office. It does well in this room but I think if it was in a bigger room like 15x20 it would not be as noticeable as far as air movement. I went from a cheap wobbly 50 inch to this and the air movement was noticeable but its not that much of a difference that I would have put up with the wobbling. Maybe the only negative thing I can say is that it uses the small light bulbs shaped like a candle flame and it recommended against using cfl on the box. Other than that its a great fan

Great fan and light

I installed the fan myself. The instructions were not overly descriptive, but if you have some experience in electrical and home improvements its pretty straight forward. Took me a couple hours to take down the existing fan and to install the new one. It looks great! Exactly what I had hoped for. Flicked the circuit back on and everything worked perfectly. Fan is silent and perfectly balanced.

Excellent Fans

Excellent Fans - they look really good and move air much better than the ones they replaced. In addition our old fans had light kits that were very dim - with the provided bulbs the light is about twice as bright as what we had and I saw several reviews that said if we wanted it even brighter to replace the frosted bulbs with clear bulbs or even better LED bulbs. When these burn out I will most likely replace with LED bulbs just because they are so energy efficient.
