This product is constructed of sturdy MDF with an aluminum frame. The screws are a bit cheap, but when assembled with a powered screwdriver you shouldn’t have any problems. The surface has a very pleasant, mildly “grippy” feel. The storage bins are great but only for lightweight items. I am able to fit most of my sketchbooks and other books in the space underneath. I am most impressed with the price. I have seen another brand with the same blueprint as this one for $20 cheaper, but reading reviews on those they were made of even cheaper materials. Overall I am so happy with my purchase and for artists this is a great workstation! FYI I assembled this slightly different than intended to give the storage space a feeling as if it’s floating)

This craft center I thought was going to be the best gift ever and it was! My girlfriend really loves to sketch/draw/paint, everything art, and this desk folds all the way flat or lift it up one notch at a time to get which ever angle is more comfortable for you then once you reach the top rung it will go back down to a flat surface with ease. It did take some time to get all unboxed and together, probably about 20-30 minutes but she loves it, the side table has most of her supplies in it/on it and the cubby below that looks like a foot rest (can be used as such) store the rest of her supplies, sketchpads, and reference books. This center came with everything she needed and I couldn't be more thankful.

Bought for my very artistic young daughter and she loves it! The tilt mechanism is easier to use and more stable than similar desks I have seen for sale at places like Michaels, the instructions were clear and it was easy to assemble. If you need a more stable solid drawer I'm sure you could find or make one, the fabric drawers work fine for light loads of paper and supplies.

Upon first impressions this desk is everything I thought it would be. From some reviews, I was a bit apprehensive the assembly would be difficult but it really was not difficult if you FOLLOW the instructions. It took me hours but I’m slow with things like that; with an average person I can’t see this being more than a 2 hour process. One thing to mention is the pencil ledge did not look like it’s picture in the instructions. It was also the only part of the assembly that I had to measure to center it to the main board because there were no drill holes for the screws. Another thing that was sort of a let down was the fact that there was one small “lump” on the main desk surface that I can see potentially being a problem with drawing straight lines and such. That is more of a point that no one can really help because it is more of a manufacturing error. One thing that I originally did not think I’d like, but ended up being surprised by was the drawers. I was afraid that the material would be cheap and the drawers wold be flimsy. I found them to not have those issues upon first impression. The bottom of the drawer seems durable enough to hold heavier items like glue or paints. Maybe over time the drawers could lose their rigidity, but for now they seem durable. The desk seems stable and has a very sharp look. Excellent purchase.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 13 yr old daughter who can spend hours drawing. It took her and I, with an assist from Mom, about 3 hours to assemble the desk. As other reviewers have noted the instructions are short on words and long on illustration. All the parts and screws and bolts are numbered so if you follow the instructions carefully you should have no problem assembling the item and I am not a handy man by any means. We got assembled without any major hiccups. We did not have any damaged or missing parts. Some people complained about holes in the brackets not matching the pre-drilled holes. We thought we had run into the same issue so we made additional holes which led to the desk top not fitting correctly. Fortunately my wife found our error and fixed it and we continued on with no problems. We had wrongly read the directions for that step. So if you think holes don't match up I advise to read the directions more carefully before making unnecessary holes. I also see some complaints about the cloth drawers. We found them sufficiently sturdy to hold notebooks and drawing supplies without any problems. In the end we have a sturdy, nice looking drawing desk with ample storage space and a nice stool. My daughter is very happy with the desk. We highly recommend the product and would buy this product again.

My son is an aspiring artist and complains about back pain from long hours of drawing. We ended up buying this and so far he's loving it and doesn't bug us anymore. XD

We bought this for our 9 year old son. It arrived quickly and very nicely packaged. Assembly was easy. This is a super nice table, better than what we expected. It’s perfect for him and his art projects. The storage drawers are a fabric, but stylish and nice. The tilt table is easy to operate. Buy this table, you will not be disappointed.

Exactly as expected and very happy with this. I didn't notice when looking at it,however that the drawers were made of fabric, so that was surprising when I put it together, they are rather flimsy. I want to say that this was difficult to put together but really....I just needed to be patient. All the parts were there and had very specific accurate instructions. It says to NOT fully tighten any of the screws until it is all put together. I did not adhere to this and had to unscrew a lot so that everything lined up. But it felt like it was going to break apart if I didn't screw them in more tightly. So that was a juggling act that got a little frustrating...but I am also not the best assembler... Having said that though - got this put together after about two hours. It was a surprise for my daughter and it is awesome. She loves it!

I had to get this super cool drawing table... space saver design which I use in a small one bedroom apartment. Plus, the stool is sturdy enough for me. And since it is all black, it looks clean all of the time. Really glad I got this one.

What's not to love? Sleak look, easy setup, great product! I've bought quite a few studio designs pieces. They're all pretty great depending on your need. This may be the best though being able to transform from regular desk to drafting and drawing desk with relative ease seems perfect for the hobbyist, professional taking work home, or somewhere in between. From laptop to drawing board to just plain ol' desk stuff. This table does just enough
