Exactly what I was dreaming about !! Finally a side by side battery box. I'm installing a new 24vt trolling motor on the bow of my boat. I could have rewired my entire boat, but why? I going to put this box, up front, secured from sliding by using a cooler foot system. Then strap down the batteries inside the boxes ( to prevent hoping), then strap down the box lid. This box is prefect, 2 group 24 AGM batteries fit great, very little wiggle room. Should do the job.

This is an injection molded box for a group 24 size lead-acid battery. For what it does, it is a good product, sturdy and functional. The mounting hardware is simple but effective. I have had others of this brand and they all seem to be practically indestructible. It will easily outlast any battery you put in it. My application for this one was for a boat using a Lifeline Marine AGM Battery GPL-24T. They also work well in RVs for house batteries (if you want to encase the batteries and have room for the box).

At under a fiver including shipping, this battery box exceeded my expectations. The plastic is good quality and not too thin. It's got what passes for handles in this product category. The lid fits securely with no wobble and overlaps the box by 1.5 inches. The strap actually works and can be cinched down tightly (although it's not very long, so you may want to use a ratchet tie-down strap). Overall it's a nice clean functional design. Are battery boxes that cost 3x more 3x better? Somehow I doubt it.

Well made and have an overhang so you can run your jumpers from one battery to the other. (12 v in parallel)

Surprisingly nice box for the money! My huge Deep Cycle battery (Group 31) for my car trailer fits in it with no problem! Since it sits against the wall in the trailer underneath the cabinets I am sure their strap hold-down will be just fine. It can't slide forward if I was to stop quickly which isn't easy since the trailer weighs 12,000 pounds, and probably can't slide backwards since I can't take off that fast! For a boat, I think you may want to secure it differently though.

nice item, be careful on the battery size vs battery case size you need, this item is a bit over size for my 12v battery by 2" inch x 6" inch empty space. i use fuller to take up the empty space so battery don't slide around in it! but i can work with that and add item to charge my small USB items to it using a converter 120v, 140 watts on it, when there blackout do happening! by the way my rider mower do the same! but it lot easier to charge the 12v battery over time! if blackout last more then say 2-3days 1.) rider mower 12v outside (already setup) 2.) handy 12v battery in the shop to charge items (still adding item to this one)

I purchased this and one from NOCO. I like both but prefer this one slightly. The NOCO has clips on the side that are rather cumbersome to use. This Camco has no clips, and just relies on the included strap to hold the lid on (which I prefer). This Camco also is just slightly thicker, and seems to be made out of a more rubbery plastic, which I think will hold up better. The base box is also 3/4" taller on the Camco. Recommended

Perfect. Good quality, superb design and materials. Strap brackets with screws were included. The brackets fit into recessed slots in the bottom of the box and stabilize the box so it won't slide off whatever it's setting on. The cable outlet gaps in the cover were just the right size and orientation to snugly fit the main cables and also allow multiple accessory wires front and sides.

As advertised. Fit my Group 27 Cost Co / Interstate marine battery (similar to SRM27) with plenty of room on the side. My battery has a semi-regis plastic handle which needs to be pushed down, but that was okay. Comes with a strap to attach top of the box to the box. Also comes with small plastic pieces to attach to plywood if desired. Cables can come out from either two of the corners.

Camco makes great stuff, and this is no exception. We are replacing the deep cycle battery for our travel trailer (always dry camping and needed more ah...our refrigerator hasn't run the last two trips due to marine battery degradation), and needed a new box to fit our 100ah AGM battery (27). Fits perfectly, closes easily, and assume we will have no issues with cable access once we have it installed.
