When I initially found this product, I was afraid it would not meet my expections. After receiving it, I have to say that I am quite pleased with everything it has to offer for the price. Very durable, not cheap junk plastic. It has adjustable legs for all reclining positions and the fans are a nice touch for when I'm gaming on my laptop. Now I can lay in my bed without feeling like I'm in an awkward position or my computer getting too hot from resting on the blanket. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a laptop. I also think it's a fantastic idea for someone who might be confined to a wheelchair. However, I think they should make it so that you can adjust the width of the legs. I fear that someone with a plus sized waist might not find it suitable. 5 stars for me, perfect.

I am really excited about this new stand. I used to work in the restaurant industry, i.e. on my feet all the time. I now work full time in a work from home desk job, i.e. not a lot of exercise, not even to leave my own home to work either. I started to look up ways or things to change to be more active. I came across all the health benefits of a standing desk. I threw some boxes under my office stuff and decided that I would invest some money in converting my desk. I didn't want to make it permanent, since I have knee issues and would like to sit from time to time. Based on my requirements, this fit the bill and was not too expensive. I mostly needed a raiser for my keyboard, since my monitor already adjusts up and down by about a foot with it's own stand. The construction does seem pretty solid. The platform is metal, and the legs have plastic snap in features. Each joint has a large push button (looks grey on the photo), that has angle measurements printed on them. They also provided a card that displays all the different ways you could set up the stand. PROS It is adjustable. There are many different ways to move the legs for different heights or angles. There are angle measurements on the joints to help with this, as well as a card showing the different angles to achieve different positions. Folds down pretty small so I can store it away when not in use. Fans work great, although I will be using this for a keyboard and not a laptop. Seems pretty sturdy when shaking it whit it is holding my keyboard. Very affordable compared to other standing desk converters. CONS You have to take everything off it to adjust it. You have to adjust each leg separately. If using on a desk, might need to put rubber on bottom of legs to keep it from sliding. Doesn't slide super easy, but a little push and it moves. OVERALL I am very happy with this purchase. I was aware I wasn't going to get all the bells and whistles that the expensive versions have, but I was more attracted to the price. I would recommend little rubber pads for the bottom of the legs, luckily I have some laying around. Overall, very impressed. UPDATE After using this for a week, there is something I would like to note. I am using the stand to hold my dell keyboard. Unfortunately, you cannot use this stand at an angle (depicted in my first photo) as the keyboard will slide down and sit against the metal lip. This is both uncomfortable to rest your wrist on, and is not ergonomic for your wrists. The keyboard has rubber feet, but it is just a little too far apart to make contact on the metal surface. I suppose if you put a rubber sticky thing underneath, it will work just fine. Another alternative is if you use a wrist pad, which will give your wrists a place to rest. I use the stand horizontally (depicted in last photo), which I have no issues with.

This portable laptop table is extremely useful and lives up to all of Pwr's advertising claims. The multiple position options fill almost every laptop owner's needs--from sitting straight up in a chair or on a bed's edge to lying in bed flat on one's back or using it on a countertop in the kitchen or on a sturdy TV tray when one wants to prop a laptop or tablet up in front of a living room or den entertainment center. And I consider the fully functioning dual fans essential since I use Photoshop extensively; these fans do an excellent job of keeping my high-end laptop's hardware cool during extended periods of use with this particularly demanding photographic and graphics editor. Last weekend I spent 5 1/2 hours editing photographs while simultaneously listening to my favorite iTunes recordings and 'Googling' certain photographic information and at the end of this multi-tasking session all of my Toshiba Qosmio temperature readings were well within the normal range. I've spent the first 10 days of ownership trying out the various laptop table positions and testing the mousepad angles and the aforementioned dual fans' reliability. So far, I have no complaints or concerns of any kind and I would recommend this product to anyone interested in a very utile addition to their laptop accessory setup. Purchased as an experiment to see if it could accommodate just a keyboard and mouse platform to temporarily enable a sit/stand setup.on a regular desk. I also have an ergo pole mount that can hold one or two monitors. I am considering ordering a second unit for my laptop. Of course the cooling fans are a little redundant but happy to report that the system is solid and almost perfect for this use. One minor issue is that a keyboard is a little too light to keep the unit from occasionally slipping on a desk. A simple remedy is to affix four small felt (or rubber) pads to the lower base legs to keep it from slipping. Here's an ergo pole you could consider in conjunction with this stand: http://www.amazon.com/Spacedec-SD-DP-750-Display-Quick-Medium/dp/B002RL8J44/ref=sr_1_fkmr2_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426195060&sr=8-1-fkmr2&keywords=ergo+monitor+pole

I have a heavy, 17" laptop. I can adjust it to my liking and very easy to work with. The best part is, I didn't even have to build anything! It was ready to go out of the box. I can only complain about the size of the mouse pad.

The three parts of the legs have adjustable angles which you can can adjust using the measurements printed on each one. Just push in the silver button, adjust until you hear a snap that tells you it is locked in place. See the first two photos. The mouse tray is plenty big enough (see third photo); and, it can be added to either the right or left side. See the slots on either side in the fourth photo. The mouse tray does not, however, have a ridge at the bottom to stop a mouse from falling off when the tray is not horizontal. A cable is provided for the fan and there are two clips, whose purpose I am assuming is to keep the laptop from sliding. I have not used them. See fifth photo. You use one of your computer's USB ports to power it. Don't miss the on/off switch. I had a cooling fan several years ago which powered up simply by plugging it into the USB port. I thought this was not functioning until I noticed the switch on the side of the fans opposite the power jack. See sixth photo. Good product. Glad I got it.

This is just okay. It does what it needs to but there is nothing special about it. Especially for $50. To be honest, I would never buy this again. The mouse pad is very tiny, I don't know if it's just me but the mouse takes up to around 80% of the pad (if I had to guess). I have the Logitech Anywhere Mouse 2 and moving it around with only a little room gets kind of annoying. Constantly sliding off the edges. The worst part is the legs on this thing. They advertise it that it is very easy to adjust and switch positions but they are 100% wrong. Each side has 3 different buttons you need to push AND HOLD while you adjust the way they sit. You wouldn't think that this is annoying but it is EXTREMELY annoying and I can't stress that enough. Then you have to match it exactly on the other side. Very painful to change and setup. The bottoms of the stands are plastics meaning if you put it on pretty much any type of desk, it is going to slide all over the place. Personally, I would not recommend this and when it breaks, I will build my own little stand for much, much cheaper

I work from home, and my happy place is on my couch / chaise near my front window, where I watch people walk their dogs and see the world go by. I worked for months with my laptop in my lap, which was terrible for my neck and back. I saw a product similar to this somewhere on the web and went looking on Amazon for a more affordable alternative. There are so many to choose from! As I generally do, I looked at dozens of items and read reviews. This is why this one works for me: * It's adjustable. I can work from my couch and be reasonably ergonomically correct, or I can move to my table and have a standing desk. After fiddling with the angles for a while, I've found a setup that's pretty stable. It took some doing -- I had a setup for a while for which I liked the angles, but it was too top / front heavy, and my laptop tended to lean toward me. * There's a spot for my mouse. I move the stand around when I get up, so I'm always pulling the mouse off it, which isn't ideal, but this is a far better solution than using my couch cushion as a mouse pad. * There are fans that I can use, or not. My laptop doesn't run super hot, but I like it that I can cool it (and me!) off when I want. * I've messed with the angles quite a bit, and it seems to be a quality item; everything works as it should. * It's as stable as it can be under the circumstances. It does tend to list to starboard a bit because it's sitting on couch cushions, so I use a think book on the right side to even it up a bit. * There are cheaper versions and more expensive versions out there. This one gave me the features I wanted without costing a fortune. Within a few days of setting this up, I had a meeting of friends in my house. When they saw it, they all wanted the link to it. I'm pretty sure a couple of them bought their own.

This little gadget has some pretty great actions once you figure out all its legs. Had surgery was stuck in bed quite a bit graduated to a recliner so this is an all day usage event. Currently on week 3 and it’s still doing everything I’ve asked of it. Shhhhh...I bought 2 more as Christmas gifts. Only one thing I’d like to see as an option, the ability to widen the space where it settles its legs. Not everyone has the smallest of hips. Achem, me intended.

What a relief. I was a little concerned by the (somewhat comical) negative reviews, but decided to order anyway, and chose the Pwr+ model over the (very similar) options because Pwr+ seem to be very concerned with satisfied customers. Looks like it was a good decision. (And I have NO connection to the seller... was NOT given a free sample, nor was I asked to write a review. I just needed something to raise my keyboard and trackball to standing height, and bought this one.) The package arrived promptly, and was very easy to open and set up the stand for me. Yes, the adjustments can be a bit fiddly, but the locking detents match side-to-side, and honestly folks, a bit of patience and a positive attitude and I had it set up in 5 minutes. It's very stable, and the construction is high-quality, with aluminum legs, table, and trackball shelf. The hinge mechanisms are plastic, but seem quite sturdy, with very positive lock positions and no wobble when set correctly. Notice I said "trackball" shelf. I use a trackball, and it's a perfectly stable perch for that use. It's a bit small for a standard mouse, about 2/3 the size of a typical mousepad, but seems like it could be used that way if you're determined to make it work. The surface is textured paint, so a mouse would have some traction. I don't like using standard mouse devices. Trackballs don't hurt my hand, are easier to use... and stay where you put them... so this little shelf works great for me. Probably be ideal as well for other input devices, like an Apple magic trackpad. I have a couple Macbook Pro 17s, and although I'm only using the stand to hold a full keyboard (and the trackball) and a wrist resting pad, and am not using it to support the laptops, I tested it with one and it WILL certainly support a 17" laptop. Of course, if you adjust the stand to a crazy, gravity-defying angle, you'll spill your $3,000 laptop onto the floor. So don't do that. Common sense is NOT included in the package. Also tested the USB-powered fans and they worked quite well. Not silent, but not loud either, and very useful for hot laptops. Well integrared, there's a special USB cable included in a small plastic bag, as well as two clips to help secure laptops that are shaped more like a boat. The Macbook has a simple flat front edge, and the built in lip held it fine at a steeper angle than I'm comfortable typing. If you're planning on lying on your back in bed and want the computer at a crazy angle, you'll need the clips at the very least. Don't expect a miracle. It's not as wide as a breakfast-in-bed tray, either, so you probably can't put it over both your legs and feel comfortable, but I think it'll work fine if you're reasonable about how you position it and yourself. My only criticism, and it's a minor one, is that it could benefit from rubber feet to prevent the stand from scooting easily on a smooth, formica-topped desk. I have small, adhesive-backed rubber feet from another device, so I'm fine. Those should be included. So, this was a ridiculously cost-effective purchase. It's a well made, nicely-finished, relatively sleek design, and fully adjustable. I can imagine lots of other uses for one of these... and highly recommend this one among the clones available on Amazon. Given my trepidation after reading the comical reviews, I'm extremely happy with this thing. UPDATE: Posted a photo of the newest setup, showing the height adjusted and even, but the legs in different positions. In other words, the sides have use different angles that average to the same height side to side. I believe this makes the stand even more stable for use as a standing workstation. And to reiterate, unless there's more than one version being sold on this page, the legs are ALUMINUM, the locking hinge-joints are plastic.
