Easy to install

Bought this fan and the Hunter remote along with it. This fan is very quiet and I can't hear the motor running. 3 Speeds. High is much faster than medium whereas medium is a tad faster than low. The manuals provided was sufficient in figuring out the wiring. Though, make sure you are aware what is your active wire vs. common or neutral wire. The fan itself doesn't even move and the provided weights with the fan were not needed. I was given 3 weights if the fan had a imbalance problem. The blades has a dark brown on one side and a cherry finish on another. Easy to install. The lights are dimmable if you hold down the button on the remote. pressing it turns them off and on. Get CFL bulbs as those are dimmable or LED that are rated as dimmable and you'll be good to go. My setup was done in a 50s house where I had two white wires together, two white / 1 black, and 1 black. I have to leave the switch on the wall on at all times but use the remote to control the fan speed and lights.

Excellent fan, whisper quiet operation

I bought this fan to replace an old ceiling fan in my old house. I am by no means mechanically inclined or handy, yet I was able to install this entirely by myself in a matter of an hour or so. BE SURE TO TURN OFF THE POWER BEFORE INSTALL! I'm sure everyone buying this knows that but my inner lawyer must have his soapbox. The fan is whisper quiet, after 2 years of running 24/7 I had to creaks or snaps. The fan blades and hardware look very classy and high end, even though they are not of the highest build quality. The kit came with everything I needed and I was very happy with this both aesthetically, and functionally, over my old fan. The blades were much larger than my old fan, and as a result the amount of air it pushes seems to be considerably higher. The lights are very bright and white, not the old yellow I was used to. I loved this fan!

Beautiful Fan

For the price and the Chinese quality it a great buy. Easy to install by yourself but make sure to use a driver to set the bolts into the ceiling outlet or Joyce’s to make sure the mount is secured to your ceiling( a regular power screw diver will only strip the heads of the bolts). Took a little over an hour to install by myself and everything works and is balanced perfectly. I bought 6 of these fans and was in a jam to get this one on amazon because i wanted it now but if you can wait 7 days office depot has a better price for $89with ebates and coupon code from retailmenot

It is a Hunter so you know is a good fan and the light is bright and fan is very quite. I dont even know it is on most of time unless I pull it to the highest speed setting then you will hear some wind sound. Other than that I have to say I love this fan more than the other few fans I have in my house that cost 3 to 4 times more.

Self-Install

I ordered this specific ceiling fan because Amazon was having a special on installation for this fan and a couple others. Installation was half off! What a bargain! I could tell it was a nice fan, and all four ceiling fans in our home needed to be replaced, so I purchased identical fans for all four rooms. As soon as the fans were delivered, Amazon canceled the installation saying, “There are no available installers in your area.” I was pretty irritated, because I could have chosen any other fan but picked this one specifically for the 1/2 off installation special. I decided maybe I, a person with no electrical/wiring experience beyond changing out a few thermostats, could install these myself. I watched a few YouTube videos that said, “Installing ceiling fans is easier than you may think!” and, although still a bit skeptical, I was sold on doing it myself after that! My main concern was the weight of the fan, but that wasn’t an issue at all! It’s put up little by little, so you’re never having to hold up the entire weight of the fan. It wasn’t really “easy” putting up the first fan. It was frustrating and time consuming, but I live in an older house with older wiring (late 70s), so figuring all that out took up the bulk of the time. I’ve now installed two of the fans. The second fan was super-easy to put up after having done the first one! They look GREAT! I would highly recommend this fan and would also recommend doing a self-install! I had no experience and was able to do it, so I think probably anyone could do it!

Superb Quality Fan

I love my new fan. The blades had a dark side and a wood patterned side so I could pick which went with my decor better, I chose the wood patterned. The best thing about it is how well it moves the air throughout the room and so quietly, I can't hear it unless I listen especially for the sound. I guess the least thing I like about it is that one of the bulbs only lasted a week, sorry, I love everything else about it. At first I was afraid the light kit was not going to put out the light I needed, but I was really pleased at how well it lit up the bedroom. I recommend this fan to anyone.. I found it to be the cheapest on Amazon, I paid around a hundred dollars for a Hunter fan!!!! How cool is that???

Amazing for the price

I absolutely love it! I have no regrets with it at all, and I would highly recommend this to someone looking for a new, powerful fan. Pros: even on highest setting, it's still super quiet and you get a beautiful breeze from it that you can actually feel. It's powerful enough to blow papers around :P It's super stylish and modern. Great for preventing dust build up. really easy to install, literally the longest part of this was screwing the blades onto the brackets. So it's super easy to install, and it doesn't move 1 bit on the highest setting, the only way it'll move is if you tilt it by hand. Cons: Bulbs are the only thing I don't like, they're the really tiny ones, but it's not a huge deal because if you don't like the soft white color, you can swap them out. One other thing I didn't like was the packaging, it's literally just the factory box with shipping stickers on it, and the UPS guy didn't even ring the bell or knock, he just left it on the steps and walked away, I'm glad my phone sent me a message saying it was delivered, so I'd recommend turning those on. Other than those two, I really can't think of anything else wrong with it, maybe the price? But honestly, It's SO worth it. I can't wait for summer to come now, I'll have no problem keeping cool now :) Really, this thing is flawless, and I'm being completely honest. If there was something wrong, I'd be the first to tell you. But it's amazing! The blades are reversible which is really nice :) I got the Nickle and Cherry one, and personally I think it looks the best, the other side of the blades is a brighter tint to the cherry more of a darker wood color, still really nice :) And like I said, I can't wait to try this out for the summer when it gets super hot inside, the long, wide blades will be perfect for providing excellent cooling :D If you're looking for a new fan, seriously, get this! You will not regret it at all :)

I've learned that Hunter is the best of the best

In my 23 years as a homeowner, I've learned that Hunter fans are the best of the best. This is a beautiful fan. The colors are rich and the fan was the look I was aiming for in my new home. The brushed nickel matched the color package for our home so this is the color we decided on. The fan is well made and does not wobble or make any noise when turned up to the highest setting. I ordered this fan through my Prime account because I love the free two day shipping and it keeps me from driving into the city to stand in line at the home improvement stores. The item arrived in it’s factory box exactly when expected. The box was in excellent condition and undamaged during the shipping process. I have installed ceiling fans in the past so I didn’t read every word of the instructions. I just skimmed over the important items and began assembling the fan. This fan is being installed on an 11 foot trey ceiling so I purchased the 12" extension so the fan hung a little lower than the standard installation bar. The wiring included with the fan was enough to accommodate the extension. Pros – Easy to Install - Quiet with plenty of air flow - Beautiful addition to my new home Cons - None

Quality Fan

Purchased two of these for my living room with 4 foot extension rods. Self-Installed and all is great. Bought the brushed nickel to replace brass fans and these are absolutely beautiful. Was worried about the cherry mahogany color as I did not want the “reddish” look but it is brown. Never had problems with Hunter fans so I knew this would be a good purchase and it was. Very rich looking and the lights are bright.

Love, love these! Installed 4 of these in house we are remodeling. I'm a realtor, so I see lots of fans in homes- was very impressed in this Hunter fan especially at the price we purchased. Wish we had bought more at that price for our next remodel/flip; by the time we went back to Amazon, out of stock! Even included bulbs, which now days has become expensive. Looks nicer than many fans $100-$180 range. Easy to install.
