I've been with Webroot for about 3-years and it's still as good as ever and light years better then Norton. I've reviewed prior versions before but the renew process for it is a breeze... just open your account, type in the new number and you're done. The only downside is your 365-days begins the day you renew and you lose whatever days you may have had left on the expiring version so if already have it and can put up up all those annoying popup reminders to renew wait until the last few days before you enter that new number.

INSTALLED THIS YESTERDAY ON NEW LAPTOP AND BY FAR, IT WAS THE EASIEST INSTALLATION OF ANY ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE I HAVE EVER HAD - AND I HAVE BOUGHT A LOT OF DIFFERENT BRANDS OVER THE PAST TWENTY YEARS. GOOD PRICE FOR 3 DEVICES AND IS DOING THE JOB OF MUCH PRICER BRANDS THAT CAN BE A BEAR TO INSTALL. THE NEW LAPTOP DID COME WITH MCAFEE ALREADY ON IT, SO I UNINSTALLED IT IMMEDIATELY SO AS NOT TO HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH INSTALLING THE WEBROOT. WEBROOT, AFTER JUST A FEW MODIFICATIONS, JUST SITS QUIETLY IN THE BACKGROUND WITHOUT THE CONSTANT INTERRUPTIONS THAT MOST OTHERS SEEM TO HAVE THE HABIT OF DOING THESE DAYS. DID NOT EVEN HAVE ANY MORNING STARTUP UGLY MESSAGES TO START THE DAY WITH AS WITH THE OTHERS. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND AND WILL BUY AGAIN WHEN EXPIRATION TIME COMES AROUND.

I had bought a version at Wal-mart some time ago It was an older version. Couldn't return it. This version loaded up just fine. There needs to be better definition from Webroot as far as last year/ this year version What am I buying? 2018? please be sure.

Never needed tech support. I uninstalled the last one, then installed the new one. I've been using WEBROOT for several years now. Never understood why the CD (physical) version is cheaper than the (download) Renewal version. Same program, same features. For me, If you can wait to get the CD, you'll save money.

I was looking for Antivirus software that was fairly priced and that does not use too much of my computers power. This program is non obtrusive and stays in the background. It flashes a reminder in the lower right corner of the screen upon start up that's its working and that is the last time you even know it's on your computer. I've had no virus issues and I'll likely buy this again in a year.

I installed this on my laptop because I was having so much trouble playing words with friends on facebook. It turns out the problem was all the ads from facebook. I installed an ad blocker and that solved my problem. Anyway, the software seems to be working OK, but I didn't have any virus or malware so I don't know just how well it works if you need to remove a virus or malware.

Hubby, the IT "professional" succeeded in contracting some Virii. As soon as he noticed something was amiss he scanned with MS Defender. Nada. Next he tried MalwareBytes. Some hits and a couple were quarantined. At this point he was getting frantic as his "finely tuned" Spidey senses were tingling. Rather they were going off like the evacuation klaxons for the local Nuclear power plant. I was more interested in just exactly what he was doing to have gotten in sooooo much trouble. In desperation, aided by a reasonably positive CNET article he downloaded WebRoot from Amazon. Bingo, he was clean again. As far as his computer status that is. He says that he's aware there may be better products but he was desperate. Within 10 minutes of the download he was smiling. And winking. As far as that goes, I'm still waiting on an answer about his web activities....

I don't like to load with a key code. I ordered a disc and it loaded immediately with no trouble. It seems to be working well. The price was good, especially for 3 computers. I had Norton 360 for 3 computers last year. I got it at a nice introductory price . I had no problem with it, but when it was going to renew for another year automatically at about triple the price I decided to shop around. Once Webroot was up and running for awhile I thought I might as well uninstall the Norton antivirus. When I did that it did something to my computer. It would no longer recognize my remote devices, camera and MP3 player. I have extended warranty on my HP computer and they helped me get my computer to recognize them again. I am no computer guru. I'm just saying Beware on uninstalling Norton. When I Googled it I read several other people had the same problem. I still have Norton on 2 other computers. It is no longer active, but I intend to just let it sit there.

Renewed my 3rd year of Webroot protection, no problems, it just does it's job and keeps me and my computer safe. Webroot is light and lets my computer move at the speeds it is designed to move at. The other antiviruses (Norton, Kaspersky) slowed down my computer and web browsers too much. I think it's great protection at a good price.

Excellent program, runs in the background. I had not used Anti-Virus protection in years, as Macintosh is "relatively" immune. I had recently downloaded 'Mac Cleaner' and that is when the apparent problems began. Virtually every time I clicked while running Safari, I would get a new screen 'warning' of a new virus infection. These screens looked official and many appeared to be actual Apple sites. I once followed the prompts and ultimately this led to a "purchase screen" for their 'advanced' product. I seems that the program was loaded with issues that automatically prompted virus alerts. Webroot cleared all these issues on the first scan. I am sure other brands of virus protection work well. In the 'olden days - from 1987 to 2008.... I still have my first Mac SE', I used Norton software, which worked extremely well for protection, backup, etc. Since purchasing my first laptop in 2008; however, no additional protection software seemed necessary, at the time. Times have changed. I tried Trend Micro, but had download issues from the vendor, and finally requested and received a refund. After reading multiple reviews, I selected Webroot and so far, am pleased. This Webroot program offers protection at a reasonable price.
