I used these for the first time for a Halloween themed photoshoot back in Oct and they were awesome! So easy to work with, I'm going to find excuses to use them more.

No bones about it! It's a great product!

This was everything I hoped it would be! You use these kind of like those kids water color paint palettes: get some water on a brush and agitate that into the dry makeup cake. This kit comes with a brush that's good for most general work, but you may prefer to invest in an assortment of brushes for detailed work or a larger brush or sponge for more broad application of product. This product dried very quickly on my skin, and I could mix the colors to meet my needs (but you might want to do that on a separate surface or on the mirror in the kit if you want to keep the color cakes pristine). On that note this palette does come with a very nice and very large mirror. I did a test of the makeup (I attached a photo) and wore it for an hour. I put makeup on my face and chest and just moving around the house the makeup held up well. Afterwards it washed off easily with soap and water as advertised. I have sensitive skin but had no reaction to this product. Some extra things to note: In addition to the Mehron makeup/paint in this look, I did achieve some shading with and eyeshadow on top of the dried paint (although some shading was done with the paint as well). I used eyeliner to line my eyes rather than bringing the face paint right up to my lashline, just to be safe. This look was sealed with a makeup setting spray. Despite setting the makeup, I would caution that this makeup is probably not the best for situations where you might be sweating a lot (like an outdoor fair) since sweat will break this makeup down (these are water activated paints/makeup). The instructions for this palette recommend to not use the red, yellow, or orange around the eyes and to not use the blue or green on the lips. To be safe it might be prudent to use regular cosmetics in those areas if you needs those colors. Option: At the time that I'm writing this NYX has a colorful eyeshadow palette called ULTIMATE in USP04 BRIGHTS that is pigmented and affordable (in my opinion). I recommend always testing the product before the particular event you are planning for if possible, just to make sure the product is compatible with your skin and works the way you want it to. Amazon experience: at the time I'm writing this Amazon is fulfilling the orders of this product. The first palette I received was completely busted and broken (shattered mirror and all). I called Amazon and they very quickly worked with me to fix the issue. The second palette they sent me was perfect.

Ooooh man let me tell you how twitter-patted I am with this make up. It's light and didn't affect my skin or eyes at all (Cuz hey I read the instructions and the "danger" colors didn't go near my eyes). Once you figure out the water ratio you are unstoppable with the color!!!!...unless you mess up...and then it ever so politely comes off with q-tips or toilet paper. I have not experimented too much with shadowing but the layering is very precise and clean. I had to my Wolf FX paint set for the pink nose which they said don't mix with other paints but hey my nose didn't fall off so we're good. Haven't used my Wolf Fx Paints to form a comparative analysis of the two but right now Mehron rocks my world! ....but I tigress. To anyone feeling like they shouldn't spend too much on face paints. Just slap yourself, then treat yourself. Have fun! Oh packaging...it arrived like it said, the paints weren't used, and the mirror wasn't cracked so top marks from me.

These colors are AMAZING! I was a little worried about the red, because it looks so dark in the palette, but it goes on like a true red. The orange is lighter than I expected, more of a peachy color. But every other color looks exactly like it appears. It applies perfectly with a wet brush (at least for my application ... I've read that larger projects require sponges rather than brushes to avoid brushstrokes). I painted vines on my face, and the included brush was the perfect tool for that. It also covers liquid latex easily. Make no mistake, Mehron Paradise palettes are worth every penny. Don't bother going with a cheap imitation - you won't be happy. I have yet to be disappointed by a Mehron product, and I'm thrilled with this palette. Mine arrived perfectly intact, though the yellow had a slight crack in it - but that crack in no way affects the makeup itself.

Love these water based face and body paints!! Great quality and colors! Comes with mirror and paint brush. They sent it wrapped up nicely in bubble wrap and I received it promptly. Water base paints are all I'll ever use. Was really impressed with Mehron Makeup. They are not greasy, cakey or itchy,.Comfortable to wear for several hours and so lightweight you'll forget your wearing it. Stays on for hours and doesn't smear off. My husband is allergic to red dyes (like in meat) so I put a dot on his hand to see if he would have an reaction to the red paint, Great news he had no reaction at all. I'll be ordering them again!

Amazing face paint! Smooth, easy to use and mix colors, easy to clean (red and blue need a little extra scrubbing), lasts long without cracking or creasing when used with setting powder.

Excellent face make-up, professional-looking results even for the amateur face paint artist

Excellent product, highly recommended. This professional grade product was used for a school production of The Lion King, Jr. to recreate full face make-up similar to the ones from the The Lion King Broadway production and this worked very well. The color palette is very versatile and colors can be mixed to obtain all types of other hues and fading effects. This was used for full face make-up for Rafiki (sage baboon), Zazoo (bird majordomo), Sarafina (queen Lioness and Simba's Mom), Nala (Simba's friend and lioness queen), and other characters for two shows, and about half is remaining. As a complete amateur having never applied face paint, I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to apply, how vibrant and rich the colors were, how good the coverage was on all skin tones (sometimes requiring a second application for light hues as could be expected), how comfortable it was for the children to wear, and how well it aged well as it was still uncracked and smooth after several hours (during the after party). This was removed easily with make-up removal wipes. The red color left a faint tint on the skin which was washed away with soapy water.This was the best product in an assortment of other products purchased for the show. Products from the Snazaroo Classic Face Paint line came in second place and are a good alternative at a lower price point.

This was the perfect set to try out the paradise paints. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND!! Mehron is a great product, I can't wait to order more!

Stop thinking about it and just buy it already

This is one of the best investments I have made in a long time as far as for my kit. I initially got it for Halloween and doing SFX makeup during October but this quickly has become a staple in my kit year round. The cake pans are water activated and a little water does the trick. The colors are incredibly pigmented and opaque. They dry down and dont smear. They make incredible eyeshadow bases, are great to use for graphic liner or anything else you can imagine.

Great Coverage

I painted myself from my forehead to past my shoulders using mainly the black and white paints--very good coverage. I have a very colorful tattoo on my chest, and this paint made it vanish. My only little issue is that since this is water activated paint, when you try to layer it, some of it may come off due to adding a new wet layer over a seemingly dry area (if that makes sense). Other than that, I'd use this product again (because painting yourself for several hours is actually fun). Yes, the packaging is a wee bit smaller than you may expect, and yes, they indeed smell like coconuts. Paint looks were inspired by Madeyewlook on YouTube.
