Great value. After planting about a dozen new trees to replace those lost to the hated emerald ash borer, a mini drought has plagued our area. Facing the loss of our new trees we went the the orange big box store to get some gator bags, but they only had 2 left. A quick search on Amazon and I found these. Te reviews were good and I needed some and the price was less than half what I just paid, so I had little to lose. These bags are good quality, not the same as Gator bags, but good all the same. Strong material, good zippers, all 10 work. I think the bags a slightly smaller, but that's not an issue. In the attached photo you'll see the Greenscapes bags on the left, they're a darker green, and the Gator Bag is on the right, the limey green for comparison. Works great, half the price, great value.

This was the inexpensive choice and I am very pleased. I had an immediate need to attempt saving newly planted tree. It has proven to be an excellent choice. The zipper has worked good and it holds and releases water as expected. The tree is actually showing some new growth since I added this watering bag to it. I can't say how long the bag will last but for an immediate need this has been a great choice.

Great bang for your buck on these. Greatly reduces time for watering while also delivering a slow drip to each plant ensuring deep water penetration. One of the zippers is coming unstitched, but I do not believe this will prevent it from working for quite some time. I put these around my trees that have not been connected to the drip system yet, and I also use them during the winter when we have a warm spell. I wrap them around the trees, fill with water, go back much later when they are empty and remove them. The ability to water during the winter with a set it and forget it for a day is nice. Had the winter not been so dry, this would not necessarily been needed. but now i have the flexibility. I also like being able to move them around from tree to tree and take them in when not in use.

Works great! Zipper was easy to use and bag holds water without tipping. The bags stays fluffed after empty and appears full. Give it a little tug and you can tell it's empty. I accidentally left the hose on in it for over an hour and it didn't flop, sag, or move while water ran over the top.

During a hot, dry summer, a young tree on a hillside can get pretty thirsty! When it rains, it runs downhill and doesn't soak in very well. This tree watering bag is the best way to keep this youngster hydrated. I can use a hose to fill the bag as often as necessary, and the water seeps slowly into the ground to nourish the roots of the tree. No runoff!

Incredible deal! These have worked great! And compared to the Gators, this is an absolute "no-brainer"! Especially when I have 25 to 30 trees that need attention. I did have an issue with one bag that didn't want to drip all the water out, but I simply moved it around a bit and it worked perfectly! I'll get more for sure!

Easy to fill and stays in place. There is a sturdy zipper that zips the bag to the trunk or the tree, you add water to the reservoir and it seeps through, watering the roots. I am just hoping I didn't wait to long because this drought may have already killed the little tree. I have been looking for these watering bags for ages, and found them, but had to be bought like 25-50 at a time, which is fine for orchards, but I just needed one, so this was a very pleasant surprise. I'm ordering more for bushes.

Why didn't I buy this bag when I planted all my other trees? This is inexpensive and SO easy to use. I don't leave it on my peach tree. I zip it on twice a week and fill it up. The next morning I take it off. If I had more trees, I could rotate 1 bag between 3 or 4 trees. I highly recommend it.

We have two sets of these and use them for trees that are about 5 years old in an area with average humidity and about 23" of rain/snow a year. These tall bags are superior to the squat one for emptying more quickly and staying upright and out of the way of lawnmowers. They do shred very quickly if attacked by a lawnmower. We fill them when there is no rain once a week, and will remove and dry them out in about another month when freezing may start. The trees are on a hillside so we are saving hundreds of gallons of water that if applied with a hose would mostly run down the hill.

I bought this watering bag as a replacement for a Treegator one that had stopped draining properly after several years of use on two different trees. On the negative side, it seems to be slightly lighter weight than the Treegator, which may, or may not, effect its longevity. On the positive side, it's < half the cost AND has a much larger filler opening, which makes it considerably easier to fill. Some reviewers have commented that the Greenscapes bag is difficult to zip up; I didn't find that at all.
