My 13 year-old son purchased this kit. He is very pleased with the quality of the included items, and found the illusion to be very easy to learn. He was able to perform some great tricks for friends and family in no time. This is a great starting place for someone who wants to learn more about magic and illusions. I still can't figure out how he's doing some of them! I highly recommend this kit!

The best starter kit for magic

I order this magic kit just to get back into doing magic again thinking alright I will start by using the kiddie stuff that is in most magic kits.... well I was in for a big surprise when I received Jim Stott's Ultimate Magic kit and saw that the items are of very good quality. I will say that this is an awesome starter kit that is worth more than what you are paying for. Get this kit and get started and practice and entertain your family and friends. My grandkids are going to love it as well.

Great purchase!!!

This was a Christmas gift for my 9 year old son.This is our first magic set. I wasn't sure if he'd even be interested in it, but so far it's been a big hit! He's a very hyperactive child, but this is an activity that helps him to just sit and get some down time while using his brain at the same time. A much better option than tv or video games! I really think this is a positive hobby that has the potential to help improve his attention and focus. As a bonus, it's a great way to get the whole family involved in something. Once he learns a new trick, he gathers us all in to watch :) Also, I received emails from Mr. Stott as soon as I ordered the set, and after it was delivered. If you were to have a problem or any questions, I feel like he would be easy to contact. This was a great purchase for us. If you're considering a magic kit, I don't think you would be disappointed with this one!

Terrific Magic Kit!

My 8 and 10 year old love this magic kit. The directions are super easy to follow and the added instructional videos are a huge plus. My kids are surprised at how easy it is to learn magic that they have been amazed by for years. The kit is tons of fun and is a great tool for helping to build critical thinking and problem solving skills. It is a real confidence builder and teaches that practice and consistency can truly pay off. I would highly recommend this product for people of all ages.

but not terribly difficult either

I chose this product based on the reviews and the videos of Jim doing the tricks. They are slight of hand tricks that are not simple tricks, but not terribly difficult either. Just challenging enough for our 8 year old son, who loves them and is still mastering them. The card case broke on Christmas day and when I sent Jim an email, he responded promptly - on Christmas and put a new one in the mail to us. I don't know if it really is Jim Stott responding, but either way, it is fantastic personal service. I would highly recommend the product and the service that comes with it.

Some things can be done right away and some will need looking up in the manual or in the videos for which links are supplied. The materials are good quality and they spark curiosity and a desire learn and improve skills. Fun, educational and a big hit for Christmas--can't do better than that.

keep kids laughing with magic!

Missing the welcome letter but got quick replies from Jim and am very happy with the product. This is great fun and easy to use for the beginner magician. Just wanted something to entertain my three kids and their friends. They love the magic card box where the cards disappear and reappear. the kit comes with some spongy balls, a magic card deck, a trick pen, ropes, a guide, the magic card box, trick thumbs, putty strings. haven't figured it all out theres many options inside but will definitely take weeks to practice and learn all the variations. my kids did have a blast just seeing the magic card box.

Jim Stott magic is the best magic kit On the market Plain and simple, I never write reviews but I have to for this kit. If you want to become a professional magician and do trick like Penn and Teller, David Blaine, etc then this is the kit for you. You get everything you need to do over 350 magic tricks as well as a link to the secret webpage that allows you to look at the video tutorial on how to use all the props in the kit as well as free magic to download. Jim Stott provides you with free additional magic on the secret website to download, so in total you're getting 700 plus tricks in the kit. On top of that Jim Stott send me an email with additional bonus magic to download so in total he gave me 1,000 plus tricks which is way more then what I paid for and is giving me enough magic to put on a professional show. His instructional video on how to do the tricks are very easy to follow with an hour of practicing the tricks I was able to amaze and freak out my coworkers and my boss, and for Christmas my boss wants me to put on a magic show for the companies Christmas party.
