I met a new friend recently and the first thing her son did when he was in my house was attempt to take my broom and dustpan to their car. She explained how he follows her around to help her clean and will do this at other friends house also. Went online and found this set. It recommends for 36 months and older; however based on how well my friend's son recognized and handled my full-sized versions, I decided to get it. Also it didn't appear to have any small pieces/potential choking hazards. It arrived, well-packaged and I was able to give it during my next visit. It was very easy to assemble, nicely painted with the stand attaching to the base securely. All items are able to hang from the stand which allows for compact storage. He took to it immediately. The only issue he had was the dexterity to remove the items once they were hanging (but just on the first few tries.) My friend posted this to me on Facebook, showing him several days later, enjoying it. Very happy with the purchase and would consider this as another gift for the right kiddos. Developmentally, many kiddos enjoy being a "helper" and I like the idea of toys that make teaching good life habits fun. Then later in life, hopefully sweeping/dusting/mopping won't seem like such a "chore". Putting on fun music while tidying can help too (for grown ups and kiddos alike).

If you ever dream of having wild animals randomly cleaning your house like Snow White, but instead you just have small children, you should buy this! This was my toddlers Christmas gift, so she would stop stealing my broom and knocking over everything on the tables and bookshelves. My 2 and 4 year old both love it and it actually does a good job cleaning! The duster is super soft. I keep the set near my broom and when they feel the urge to tidy up, they naturally go to their cleaning supplies instead of mine. I was worried that the base would be wobbly but it isn't. I like that everything has a compact place and keeps the bristles upright so they don't deform. The wooden construction lends a more sturdy and long lasting feel.

I am truly baffled. When my sister-in-law told me to buy my nephew cleaning supplies, I thought we may have a potential child labor crime happening but she said he likes to help clean the house. So I hop on Amazon and find this toy cleaning set. Before clicking the "buy" button, I pause, still uncertain if a 2 year old would really enjoy the housework that plagues my adult-life. I even added a Nerf gun and Legos as back-up gifts in case it was a belated April Fools joke...Nope, no joke. Totally going with it. A week later I show up to his birthday party with the now wrapped cleaning supplies in hand. Guys, I felt like I was walking into the lion's den where tons of judgey parents would see that I bought my nephew a mop, broom and duster. The shame!!! It came time to open presents and my nephew opens the big box, exposing that instead of dressing like a cowboy or spaceman or soldier, he would instead be playing janitor. The parents remained silent but their eyes spoke loud and clear... And then the weirdest thing happened. My nephew took out the broom, squealed with joy and immediately began furiously sweeping in a fit of baby happiness. One by one, kids dropped the Nerf guns and toy cars to pick up the duster and mop. WTF is happening. From pauper to prince, I strutted like a peacock, basking in the glow of having "the best gift at the party". Not going to lie, I can't believe this is a thing or that kids want to play with it but my nephew seemed ecstatic and that's all I was going for so 5 stars!

Love these type of toys that teach kids to do chores in a fun way. It trains them to become responsible adults. I knew it was time to get this for our toddler when he kept taking away the Swiffer from me and trying to clean our floors. He was happy to clean the pine needles that kept falling from our Christmas tree.

My 15 month old loves this set!! My husband and I decided to buy this for him as a Xmas gift, because he loves to pretend clean with the regular broom/mop. He will follow anyone who is sweeping/mopping/dust mopping around and tends to knock things over with the regular sized cleaning supplies. So, we thought that cleaning supplies would be a good option. We did not, however, expect him to completely ignore every other present that he received for Xmas and focus on "mopping" up all around the toys that he and his cousins had received as Xmas gifts. Even now, a few days after the holiday, he ecstatically says, "Ooh" whenever he sees his cleaning set and begins to mop and sweep. Definitely recommend this product for anyone with small children. It's not only fun, but they're learning through play that cleaning does not have to be terrible.

We bought this for my son's 2nd birthday because he loves to help and he needed some tools/toys that were his size. This set is fantastic! I hesitated after reading reviews that said the quality of Melissa & Doug products had gone downhill, and while I agree some of their toys do not hold up (Catch & Count Wooden Fishing Game) this is not one of them. The bristles and rope seem to be of high quality and have not come loose at all in the almost 2 years we've owned it. We've since added a second child (another boy) to our mix and he enjoys them just as much as his older brother. They still get used today and even I find myself reaching for the handheld broom & dustpan in a pinch. I highly recommend!

Son prefers to take everything off stand and use it (the stand) as a microphone to sing and dance with but he loves it nonetheless and its pretty adorable so I have no complaints. Everything is also very well made, everything is "standing up" to my son who thinks he is a rockstar.

I bought this set for my 18 month old twins because they like our broom. I gave it 5 stars because it's really cute and my twins love it. It says 3 years and up, so be warned and it is may not be appropriate for younger children. Although my twins love it, I took away the feather duster because they were chewing on it and it was coming apart. They're not interested in the little sweeper and dust pan, but love the broom and mop and 'clean' the playroom. They also like the stand, and enjoy taking the broom and mop off the stand and hanging them back on when finished.

Excellent product for Boys and girls my grandson wanted to help me clean and the very first time he helped sweep he found a diamond earring that was lost. It payed for itself the first time used. We got lucky and he has not forgotten and it promotes great learning and children development. Well made of smooth wood no sharp edges. Definitely recommend Thanks for Reading Reviews Help Consumers

I bought this for my son when he turned one. I didn't think much of it, just saw he was curious about the broom at home so I figured I'd get him a kid sized one. He is now almost 3 and it is still one of his favorite toys! It's actually scary how obsessed he is with this and the Melissa and Doug Cleaning Caddy. He loved the mop so much that we had to hide it from him at one point so that he would have a chance to play with the other toys. It's not just him either, this is literally the best toy/gift money can buy. Anytime we have a playdate, the kids fight over this damn broom and mop set. My son plays with this cleaning set DAILY. STILL...DAILY! Who knew that toddlers loved cleaning so much?! It's great quality and realistic. I have such a love/hate relationship with this thing! At least it's not video games! uy it now! You will NOT regret it!
